  1. If I lived in Ohio, I would leave as well. Then again, you are close to SO MANY AWESOME parks I might be happy there. Oh yeah and I know hot babes from Ohio.
  2. Nah, haha we have a lot of yanks here, especially from Ohio and Pennslvania. Either they come here to play a sport or they come because they passed the school on the way from Myrtle Beach, haha!
  3. Dude compared to the last 3 or 4 seasons these people are pretty damn normal looking. Mad props to MTV!
  4. I go to school at Francis Marion University so we are on the east side, really. I can get Broadway at the Beach in 50 min from here so its great . Are you from here?
  5. I am from SC, 50 min from The Pavilion. I have not heard this plan but if it is true I am really thrilled and I would love a theme park thats closer to me than Carowinds. Although I love it dearly. .
  6. OMG. I am so happy. These people actually look normal, they are not ALL HOT like the last couple of casts were. thank god for normal lookin people on the Real World.
  7. Dueling Dragons has an amazing queue. Fans say it is an attraction in itself. I have to agree with that statement. There are bones everywhere, human or non-human . The length of it is rather long, but rather amazing. That is what makes it special. It is truly like walking through an old, rotted-out castle that was invaded by dragons. It captures the imagination. ET, Revenge Of The Mummy have excellent queues too, although the ride on ET is outdated. Borg has bad queue lines for such a good coaster. Its just pavement with black fencing with nets above you that may or may not block the sun. The landscape around it is really nice, though.
  8. He is guilty. He is of unreliable behavior. And if hes had thousands of little boys at his ranch i think its highly reasonable that he actually molested some of them.[/u][/i]
  9. Who in the heck were those dorky people they featured riding those coasters? Did they even know what they were talking about? They WERENT coaster enthusiasts, except for the ACEr, who enjoys Mind Eraser?
  10. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM......sushi. It is easily by favorite food, but like the guy above I dont get too eat it too often because no one else likes it. My favorites would have to be: 1. Smoked eel. 2. Tuna Rolls 3. Crab rolls.. The BEST sushi roll I ever had was in Biloxi, MS at a casino. It was Barbequed Eel with an Orange California Sauce....OMG.........It gave me the best food experience of a lifetime, right there with the Shitake Mushroom Penne Pasta and Cinnamon pastry wrapped cheesecake....I wanna go back so bad!
  11. There is something horribly wrong about this post.
  12. Youre paper is good for someone in the 7th/8th grade. A thesis statement would be nice, but youre in middle school. Dont worry about that until high school. Work with your grammar and you are good to go.
  13. How can anyone get sick from an inversion?

  16. Elissa, I never noticed that kid with the eye patch until now. That is pretty funny. I think he jumped in the picture at the last second or something. And why do you get a bad vibe from the park coaster1?
  17. Being it was a beautiful day and that we have season passes, my friend Billy and I decided to hit up Carowinds for the second Sunday in a row. We had some company this time; a couple-Billy's brother with his girlfriend. Those two were all over each other the whole time at the park. Billy and I thought it was amusing, and made fun of the two high schoolers all day long. It added to the enjoyment of the day! We arrived at 10 AM after driving an hour from Columbia, SC. The park had more people than last Sunday when we went into the gates. We figured as such since it was warm and sunny unlike the coldness of last Sunday. We headed for the ride that is always the busiest since its installation-Borg. The line was about 10-15 minutes, which isnt a bad wait. Its fun just watching the ride. We got in our seats and Billy's brother Chris freaked out, and was very nervous. I actually love going up that hill on your back, it really heightens the suspense. For the ride, we had a blast. It was VERY smooth, the turns and loop were taken at just the right speeds to create great G forces. I was pleasantly surprised! Top Gun was our next destination. We walked onto the front seat with no wait time. I love this ride, but the tiny drop into the curved banking drop freaks me out everytime. The ride was very smooth and powerful, yet when we rode it in the afternoon it really packed a punch. We were jerked around on the helix and felt tremendous G's through the vertical loop! We rode Top Gun again and then went to Thunder Road. Thunder Road was quite a thrill. THEY WERE RACING THE TRAINS! The ride op got both sides to yell at each other and get hyped up about racing! It was awesome and I have totally missed that aspect of the ride. Backwards was totally more fun than forwards! It was increasingly smooth throughout the ride and the airtime was great! After a couple rides on Thunder Road we headed to the kiddie area to ride the Wild Thornberry Log Flume and Rocket Power Air Time. Both were enjoyable, the log flume got my pants and shirt super wet. But me looking wet equals 100% hotness, so it was all dandy. We decided to go to Vortex after that to "dry off," which really did not help! I really dislike that coaster. Everytime I ride I cannot get the adjustment straight and my pants ride up or my crotch hurts like all Satan's wrath. The corkscrews hurt and rattle my ears against the headrests. On the upside, the loop is very powerful! Next we decided to go to the Super Saturator to drop water on people. I didnt get anyone fudge it, but it does take those turns at a good speed and is really fun with the little restraints placed on you. We werent ready to eat next so we rode the mine train, Carolina Goldrusher. It was really fun!!!!!! I dont know why but the helixes you take on that ride are a blast! We went to eat at Wings in the park after the Goldrusher. I had a chicken sandwich with cheese, fries and good ol' sweet tea. It wasnt bad at all, the resturant is really nice with booths and a comfortable indoor seating enviroment. The porches have rocking chairs!!!!!!! We kicked back on them and made fun of all the nasty large people who shouldnt wear little clothes, then rode Ricochet, which gave Billy bad bruises. Then again, my skinny tail slammed into him . We rode the Hurler next, which we werent looking forward to because of its evil pain complex. We got on it, and rushed down the big drop, and took the turns decently. Then we got MAD AIRTIME! Holy crap, and it didnt hurt landing!!! The turns, upward helix and bunny hills were awesome! I couldnt believe it. It must have a personality defect because last weekend it was EVIL! Go Hurler! For now. We hit up Carolina Cyclone which was its normal fun self, a good Arrow coaster (believe it or not), then rode Top Gun one last time because the wait for it was getting long. It packed a huge punch like I said earlier, it was really surprising. Billy got 2 hours of sleep the night before and I got drunk so we left because we were tired/or wanted a cigarette. We are bad. Side Notes: The park attendance grew rapidly over the time we were there from 10AM to 3 PM...We couldnt get on the flyers because of the lines ....There were hot ladies everywhere, and I was drooling....some guy was doing Karaoke of God Bless The USA and I wanted to vomit.....everyone was really nice!!!!!! Here are some pics! Carolina Cyclone Old Frenzoid pic riding up Thunder Road Sweet pic of Top Gun Reptar, using the bathroom SpongeBob, my lover Borg and Evil Vortex me rockin the chucks Borg, from the Log Flume queue.
  18. Interesting comment Shari. Bread is good. But roller coasters are better.

  22. Top Gun at Carowinds. Front row baby!
  23. Are you sure it was Mt. Olympus? the place i remember had three slides but one was named the Dolphin. They were beside a driving range and a putt putt course.
  24. With my season pass form recieved in the mail, I decided to head to Carowinds in Charlotte, NC with my roommate Billy from here at good old Francis Marion University. The park is our "home park." From my place here at school it is about 2.5 hours away, and from Columbia, SC its an hour, so we decided to spend the night at Billy's mom's house. Ive enclosed some pics. Well, after a night of deep conversation, Burger King, and building card houses, we finally went to sleep around 4 AM. And yes, we left the next morning for Carowinds at 8:30. Needless to say, we were tired! We arrived at the park around 9:30, 30 minutes prior to opening! We had a great parking spot at the gate, so we parked there and walked in to get our season passes processed. Everyone was really nice and we were really siked to get our 2005 passes! So we headed into the park!!!! I really cant remember the order in which we rode any rides, so im going to list them and tell you my thoughts on them: 1. Top Gun- This inverted coaster is still a blast. We rode in the front twice, once in the middle and once in the back. We got the most airtime from the front. The trains were running as a good speed, the inverted elements were nice and smooth (Gah, I love the Batwing), and the G-Forces were very cool. Its running beautifully! 2. Thunder Road-This wooden coaster is a park staple. It provided plenty of airtime on the 2 times we rode in the middle. The back, however, is a different story! Billy and I were thrown all over our seats. The airtime was there, but the track seemed much rougher and it kind of hurt to ride from the back. We didnt ride it backwards, I dont want my knees broken! It is still a fun coaster! 3. Borg Assimillator-Flying coasters kickass! I have never been on one before, and I was scared to death to ride this thing. Ive heard people complain of how it shakes people. Im never afraid to ride a coaster, mind you, but we decided to do it anyway to see how good/bad it was. And I must say, I really had a heck of an experience. The drop and twists were smooth, as was the loop. I had no problems with being jerked around. The feeling dropping with all the expanse under you is just terrifying yet so so thrilling! Great ride. 4. Vortex- Ouch! I think I got my balls smashed into the seat. It was running really fast. We went through the loop fine but we seemed to enter the corkscrew really fast and it really hurt my shoulders and my balls. Darn standups. 5. Ricochet-Ive never been on a wild mouse before, but the bodyslamming fun was too good! Every turn I would bash Billy or he would bash me, creating pain but its quite fun! The short drops were taken at a good rate of speed, I dare say I got a pop of airtime. It was fun, but short. 6. Carolina Cyclone-Another park staple. This (Arrow) Looper provided a smooth ride. The 2 loops, corkscrews and helix were fun, and I wasnt tossed about. However, if youre tall like me (6'1'' 6'2'') Ride in the front of each car. The back two seats of each car and small and can be uncomfortable. 7. Hurler-That thing hurt. The drop was fun but it seems to be at a bad stage. I thought I punctured a kidney it hurt so much! Billy may need to go to a Chiropractor. The only thing I found good was the drop and the airtime it gave you. But slamming into your seat after the airtime? NOT FUN. 8. Runaway Reptar-This junior inverted coaster was not very exciting. Just standard kid ride. It wasnt uncomfortable as some have said. I didnt experience any pain, but the tight turns were minor fun. Smile. 9. Fairly Odd Coaster- They changed it from Scooby Doo? Damn them! Oh well. It was alright, I had to sit alone and slant my knees so they wouldnt get bashed in. I had to get my coaster credit, darn it. 10. Phantom Flyers- Totally fun! I always love these kites! I got mine high into the air and almost hit a branch and Billy did well too. Its just fun swinging around in the air like that. I saw an old man with a green ACE jacket and a cowboy hat! I thought that was hardcore. Our trip was fun, all in all. It wasnt a busy day, we never had a wait for anything except Borg which was around 15 minutes. The park staff were very friendly and accomidating. Happy Days Diner needs to be avoided though. The burgers and fries were semi-warm. Not worth it. We should be going back there next weekend for two days, so anyway, here are some photos from the weekend! Should call this Harvey Wallbanger. Beautiful pic eh? Carolina Cyclone, good stuff. Uh...huhuh..look what I found! Borg. Top Gun baby! The hottest man alive, me. Harassing Billy Chillin at Bill's place.
