^ Wow, that looks really good! I wish my parents would let me do a haunt, but they hate Halloween so I'll just wait till I move out. These backyard haunt things have always interested me. Keep up the good work! ---Brent

This year for teh first time, my friend and I are going to be walking around his neighborhood as a giant pink bunny and a hot dog scaring people. You can totally tell we're idiots, but hey, if it scares people, I guess it will work. ---Brent

This weekend sucks. I can't go with my friends to the local friends so I'm going by myself on Sunday. None of my friends can go with me, so I guess it is time to be sad and pathetic. I hate this weekend. ---Brent

This past weekend I had the time to go and experience Disney's Halloween Time. The way they did ToT is awesome. They have a new sign made out of bats and there is glass spiderwebs on every lightpost. The newest and defenitly coolest addition to this ride is the CMs walking around mingling with guests. So far I've seen an actor, an actress, a maid, a reporter, and a janitor. At night they also have a show with the janitor and reporter. Defenitly cool. If you are in the area and have some extra time, defenitly go and check this out. ---Brent -

Another Suburban Legends concert last night. It looks like the Tomorrowland Terrace stage changed overnight, adding some little objects here and there. Anywho, awesome concert and I just noticed that every set they change their clothes. ---Brent

Park Size
socalMAN123 replied to roasted_marshmallow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only park that I ever thought that was so spread out was Magic Kingdom. It is nice to have the park centered around a centeral hub but, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder are freakin far away. I really like Magic Kingdom, but sometimes it was a pain to walk all the way over there. That's why Disney has the trains. ---Brent -

Disney's Halloween Time TR
socalMAN123 replied to socalMAN123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hopefully I'll be able to head down there again today to catch the last showing at 4:45 and see Suburban Legends at Tomorrowland Terrace. It really bugs me how Disney doesn't see how popular this show is. They need to add more showtimes and possibly think about taking out Golden Dreams and making this the permanent attraction. ---Brent -

Hey everyone! My dad and I arrived at the park around 4:00 and headed straight for California Adventure. Walking in, we noticed the decorations already. Some nice orange plants scaterred around the main plaza and banners everywhere. Nice little touches here and there too. First order of business was Tower of Terror and walking towards it we noticed a large sign made out of bats with little red glowing eyes and a sign saying HTH. Also, on every light pole there were some cobwebs made out of glass with different colors. Wait time; 10 minutes. Alright. You notice changes as soon as you walk into the lobby, you start to notice changes. There are little boxes of candy and Trick-or-Treat jars. There is a big sign hanging over the Concierge's desk that says Halloween Bash. And the biggest change of all, is characters walking around inside the lobby. They are dressed like they are from the 1930's. Very nice touch by Disney, they should've done this since the ride's opening day. They also had a show outside which was pretty cool, I wish I could've seen all of it. After ToT, we headed over to Golden Screams to find out we missed the last showing of the day. The building looks very nice and quite a few more people are attracted to it instead of Golden Dreams. Great move by disney. And then we headed to Paradise Pier which is untouched by the Halloween decorations. Nothing new, just the same old Paradise Pier. We hit California Screamin then made our way over to Maliboomer and Mulholland Madness. After conquering PP, we headed over and ate a great dinner at Taste Pilots Grill for a hamburger. Then, we headed to DL. Walking into Main Street, we were already hit by an onslaught of decorations. The giant pumpkin was sitting where they put the tree at Christmas and there were Jack-o-Lanterns in the windows and on the street. It was very nice and the cloudy night really gave you a feeling of Halloween. We headed over to Haunted Mansion Holiday to check the line. The line was way out of the original que and I had been on it the previous night, so we decided to skip it. Instead, we went and did single rider Splash Mountain. Same ride as always, except for one change. It was at the very end of the ride where that owl was talking about your picture that wasn't there. They have fixed that and now, as you are coming into the station you can see your picture. I think it is great that they got it working again and I heard some positive feedback about it. After our Splash ride, we hopped on the train and headed to Tomorrowland. I noticed that the Hatmosphere is still open, but the sign is down and there is little merchandise to buy. For Autopia, they are making you enter and exit the same way, causing some brilliant crashes. I peeked over the fence into the Finding Nemo area, and I saw a sign that said enterance and exit along with the random amounts of dirt piles and pipes. Under the old Peoplemover station, they have removed the construction walls around the new store, and it boasts a pretty cool sign and a sort of garage door. The store is called TomorrowLanding and looks very nice. At this point, we heard a band start to play in the newly renovated Tomorrowland Terrace. It was an awesome band named Suburban Legends and they played a great concert. I should be heading back tonight to see them again. At this time it was about 8:20 so we made a mad dash over to Tower of Terror and got a quick ride in before DCA closed. After this, we got on the tram and headed for home. Overall, a great night with some unexpected things. Looks like Halloween Time has some great potential. Thanks for reading! ---Brent

Knotts: Potential for Greatness
socalMAN123 replied to ed_orangeco_cali's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Dude, I don't think Xcelerator was open when you were in first grade. Also, Knott's did break the barrier for me. First loop (Montezuma's Revenge), First drop ride (Supreme Scream), First launched ride (Montezuma's Revenge), and First backwards ride (Montezuma's Revenge). I love Knott's. But, if they started to focus on what made me like the park in the first place, I would enjoy it a lot more. And who said an Intamin hyper wouldn't hurt? ---Brent
