  3. I just got home today and my secret santa box was sitting there waiting for me! Behold, a box. WITH THINGS IN IT! If you say so Mr. Envelope... First up, some crazy assortment of candy I have never seen before. I'm quite curious about the spicy dried mango, as I love mango. And spicy. And dried. Then I got this thing to stab people with! ...ooorrrr open beer with! Which is actually better! Then I found a box within a box. Boxception. Also we use uline boxes at work, so there is a fact for you. It's...it's...it's perfect. This is probably my favorite beer glass now!!! And lastly I opened the card last. lastly last last. Thank you so much narkitty!!! Sorry to keep you waiting, but you did well!! Now to wash the glass and have a beer!
  4. Really? Did you even watch the video, Wes? God you're so dumb... http://youtu.be/cJqhApNBjes?t=1m23s I'm sure he meant, "really did he just ask that?" Really?

  6. Nothing roller coaster related, please! Other than that I like just about anything. Legos, weird candy, BEER, beer related items, beer glasses, beer, and idk I guess I wear medium shirts?
  7. Hey TPR! I have put up a few more blogs recently, but it's been pretty busy up in Sunbury. Check out my latest blog to see what I've been up to! Check it out!
  8. The new blog is up! It's a short entry this week, but still worth a read if you have a minute. Check it out here Did Jake get in to your account again? Yes. I pitched in and designed this for you. Tell GCI to build it ASAP. You're hired!
  9. My new blog entry has been posted, you can read it here! Also in case you missed my blog entry from last week, you can see that one here. This one talked a lot about how I got to where I am today and might answer some questions asked in this thread. Like always, feel free to ask questions about the internship program and I'll do my best to answer them for you!
  10. Which coaster did you notice this on? As far as I know the lift motors do idle until a train has been dispatched. I think Evan could also better answer this one, but I'll give it a shot. Not just wooden, but all coasters (and even buildings and structures) are designed to allow some flex in them. Wood coasters even have a "wave" that travels ahead of the train in which the structure flexes. Wood obviously behaves differently than steel. Pieces are replaced when needed, the entire structure is inspected every day, bolts are tightened, etc. No coaster is maintenance free by any means, but that maintenance is kept up daily by the park.
  11. A mechanical or civil engineering degree is probably your best bet when it comes to ride design. Civil will be more structural work and ride layouts. Mechanical will have more to do with the design of the trains, braking and lift systems, etc. Thank you for politely asking about White Lightening. I can't really give you an answer on that one to be honest, just be patient!
