  1. Air Traffic Control: Flight 259, what are your coordinates? Flight 259! Flight 259: We have lost all controls, I repeat, we have... Nanjing. Spring 2008.
  2. 1. Free water 2. Limit meals eaten 3. If you gotta buy stuff, try to find sale items in the stores. 4. COUPONS.
  3. It's only been two days since the Superbowl.
  4. Ah guess you can't be everywhere at once... I'm surprised he hasn't (to my knowledge) come down here to Oxford (Ole Miss) where he graduated... That's probably on his list though.
  5. GIANTS!!!!! Last touchdown was crazy.
  6. ^ Nah I wouldn't have wanted one I just thought it was cool.
  7. Haha they used one of my pictures in the presentation! http://rcdb.com/ig252.htm?picture=6 Looks like a cool event.
  8. Nanjing - Spring 2008 Everyone knew this was going to happen. We ignored the red flags. We blew them off. Our time is over.
  9. ^ Exactly. The city already has a new, large one. (converted from an old walmart) On the news last night the guy behind the themepark proposal said to poll anybody in the city and see what THEY want. I haven't talked to one person who has wanted just Bass Pro. Some people would like to see both, which would be fine with me!
  10. Update Preview Hola mis amigos! Como estais? The park's first ride is under construction! It's a dark-ride attraction dubbed a "Trivia Competition Attraction". Don't let the montana rusa track fool you! It is not a coaster, just a slow-moving dark ride. Work has become on Palma Calle, the next area you will travel through as you make your way to the lagoon. Overview of the park's progress so far. There's still a long way to go before the park opens its gates! Mas, pronto!
  11. Bass Pro made it semi-official yesterday, but nearly EVERYBODY is stressing over and over that nothing is final, and that everybody is still willing to look at the themepark proposal. I'm not too worried because this situation (minus the themepark) has been happening for the past 3 years. It'll go silent and we won't hear anything about it until it's time to vote on it or Bass Pro backs out. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
  12. Looks like they're putting alot into theming for this ride... which is good!
  13. Update Year 52 Small update for today, but this is a new development that surprised me. Several rides around the park could be leaving, including Surf! Other rides include the railroad and Zhambi Sidewinder, all for an "attraction" dubbed Project Emerald. What is project Emerald? Well, Emerald is the "element" for a 55th anniversary, much like gold is for a 50th, respectively. I am told that this "multi-sensory ride" would load where surf is now and would go all over the park. I guess only time will tell. More soon!
  14. 6/10 Wow... I need to spruce up on my coaster trivia.
  15. That changes everything! Either way, Cedar Fair is confused or something...
  16. A small update, some of our city council went up north to view Bass Pro's (the main opponent in this situation) mega store. The reaction was scary. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of Bass Pro, I go to the store we already have often. But it shouldn't be a main tourist draw. I'm watching this news segment and they're talking about the "4-story waterfall", "laser gun", and "Nascar simulator", (among other semi-cool stuff) and I'm thinking, is a large demographic of people going to head to Memphis to play laser tag and watch a waterfall? We already have a Bass Pro, we don't need an upgrade. Especially not in one of our iconic buildings. However the themepark proposal is still on the table so all is good. Bass Pro has less than 24 hours to submit their letter of intent or they're dropped.
  17. Great stuff man, this really hits home for me. I remember Demon was the first ride I saw as we parked (1996/1997), I remember I could only see the peak of the lift hill and I kept thinking "where did it go???". I could only hear the screams after that point. Good times...
  18. ^ Ah they seemed alright last March when I was there but there was definitely room for improvement, especially compared to BGE. Great trip report, it's always great to see you and Nicole's park-antics.
  19. Update Year 52 The 52nd season of HHE is flying by and preparations are already being made for next year's addition! It's most likely going to be a flat ride, but which one? It's "unofficially official" - several buyers are looking at this chunk of the Hershey Hawaii Resort. I've heard one company is even in talks with Hershey to keep the brand intact so guests wouldn't even notice the change in ownership. I'll keep everybody updated. At least they're not looking at selling the entire park! Excavation has been suffering extensive downtime lately. The first half of the ride is causing some unwanted stress on the ride's "mountain building". Taco Bell has extended its contract with the park for at least three more years! Storm has been the parks most-reliable coaster so far this season! The Year 53 attraction should be announced tomorrow! More soon.
  20. We used to have TWC, but now we have Comcast... I'd do almost anything to get them back, Comcast is awful, in many ways. I agree, there isn't really enough information on this topic. I started researching it a while back and there wasn't alot of information on the switch other than the bare basics.
  21. Looks good! I'm still hoping Oronga will make a bold return in its old form some day...
  22. Then why did they remove it???
  23. ^ I'm sure it's a test program and not the final ride program.
