  1. ^Scott's gonna fly now! Get the eye of the tiger now! Gonna drink raw eggs now! And punch a side of beef now!
  2. ^Rocky IV? Are you gonna rent a cabin somewhere in Siberia, chop wood, and hoist a net full of rocks in a freezing barn, Scott?
  3. Victory! Congratulations!
  4. If you're going to Animal Kingdom, please: 1. Set up a Web cam looking into the tiger enclosure; and 2. Run around inside said enclosure naked, save for a t-bone steak strapped to your waist. It would be a precious moment of entertainment, indeed. Note: Theme Park Review in no way approves of animal harrassment for fun and profit. Well, maybe not for profit.
  5. OFortuna wrote: The European mine trains, including the one at Walibi Belgium, tend to be nicely themed, at least. Life in the Fast Lane isn't. Just a word of caution from your friendly neighborhood site moderator: I don't like the tone I've been sensing in this thread lately. Please keep the discussion friendly.
  6. They should retheme it to El Santo.
  7. ^Yes, the Waste Management shopping cart attraction deserves permanent enshrinement.
  8. Good luck, Robb. I know how easy it is to fall off the weight-loss wagon. One trick that seems to work for me is cutting back on carbs (dinner is just protein and vegetables now). Of course, I'm probably going to blow that this weekend when my old buddy Brian rolls into town. Looks like "frings" (onion rings and fries) at Cheeburger! Cheeburger! are on the agenda (followed by the new Bond flick).
  9. We have a thread that covers this: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27251 You can post your computer picures there. Thread locked.
  10. ^Larry, your photoshop skills rival my own. It's a funny idea, too.
  11. ^That was the lowest price in Williamsburg this morning.
  12. The operations were horrible, too--back in 2007. But everyone needs the "Cosmoworld after dark experience" at least once.
  13. For questions regarding coaster credits, I recommend checking out this thread: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35963 Whether you count relocated coasters twice, or count traveling coasters, is up to you. I'm locking this thread. Happy counting! Chuck
  14. ^I concur--Hojos in Anaheim is a good deal. My family has stayed there a number of times over the years and always liked it.
  15. Ah, I love the random flavored popcorn store, the bars, and the carnival rides... Gotta love old town. Starliner would be a nice little addition down there. The next time I'm at Old Town, I definitely wanna check out the haunted house, even it is more than ten bucks a pop. I guess that would be the most logical place for Starliner to end up. Heck, Disney should buy it and put in Chester and Hester's Dinorama at Animal Kingdom. What would be a better fit than an old Florida coaster like Starliner?
  16. That is an interesting point. I don't think you can pin HRP's failure on just one factor--poor planning, an unrealistic business plan, a bad location, coupled with the economic downturn, are what did the place in.
  17. I saw Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Kevin Smith's new flick, yesterday. It was OK, but not as outrageously entertaining as I'd hoped.
  18. The Starliner is a decent ride, but I'm not sure that it's "classic" enough to warrant being "saved" again. Cypress Gardens is too far off the beaten track to work as a theme park--making it a state landmark might be its best hope.
  19. I had the same problem with the CoasterFanatic poll yesterday, but it seems OK now. Here's my top ten wooden coasters, if anyone's curious: El Toro, SFGAd Balder, Liseberg Colossos, Heide Park Troy, Toverland Thunderhead, Dollywood Tonnerre de Zeus, Parc Asterix Phoenix, Knoebel's Lightning Racer - T, Hersheypark Lightning Racer - L, Hersheypark Wild One, SF America I think anyone who was on the Europe trip can guess which two went straight to the bottom.
  20. And now, Natalie's speech: "I'd just like to . . . argh! gah! yecth! gurgle! . . ."
  21. There have been quite a few TRs about fairs and carnivals. Go ahead and post yours when you're ready. No need for this thread now, so I've locked it.
  22. I was thinner and wore geeky, plastic-rimmed glasses in the 1980s. Now I'm heavier and wear contacts. Guess it all balances out.
  23. Goo job? Looks like Mike had a better time than he let on.
  24. ^In the long run, it just didn't matter, Guy. "You've only got so many tricks! No one lives forever!"
