  1. The Room of Living Dolls is pretty freaky. Even the walk to the showroom is through pitch-black darkness. There was a pretty good 4D movie about a haunted chruch, too, back in 2007.
  2. Heck, why not "Bad Mojo" or "Zombie Spike"? Or "Bad Mojo Zombie Death Fire Spike"?
  3. The funky walkthroughs are what makes Hanayashiki so cool, I think--even when the giant sumo butt farts on you. The bazaar near the temple is fun, too.
  4. Good luck--are you going to share the results with us later?
  5. ^"Submitted for your approval, one guy named 'Long-Shot Larry.' He doesn't realize it just yet, but he's about to make the bet of his life, with a rather unlikely backer to cover his marker. For he's staking his life on the Detroit Lions, and his bookie's office is a little beyond downtown--in the Twilight Zone."
  6. Hmm--it appears that DEVO has rejuvenated in time for their next offensive! Bring on General Boy!
  7. ^^I remember when Disney ran the Dr. Syn episodes on the Wonderful World of Color when I was about six--the Scarecrow scared the crap out of me. I'm getting together with a buddy this weekend to pay tribute to both Montalban and McGoohan this weekend--he's got quite a good collection of DVDs featuring both actors.
  8. Tyler should submit his "dog face" picture.
  9. My buddy Dave and I have exchanged the following series of e-mails: Will Ricardo Montalban’s coffin be lined in rich Corinthian leather? Will he be interred in the Roarke family tomb next to Tattoo? Will Patrick McGoohan wake up in the Village? Will the Village turn out to be Fantasy Island? This could go on all day.
  10. Happy Birthday, Mike. That is all. Just "Happy Birthday." Sorry--it's early and I got nothin' here.
  11. ^Guess I'll have to make bacon corn chowder next time.
  12. ^He's definitely is a "grassroots" superstar, much like the Grateful Dead (now there's a group that makes me cringe). His books are entertaining, too. But I guess we should get this back on topic--Ice Bat rules!
  13. ^I have mixed feelings about Buffet. I think he's a very good song writer (particularly his "Margaritaville" era stuff). But there is a bizarre "elitism" about him that gets on my nerves. I'm talking about how he so often complains about how retirees and tourists are ruining Florida and the Gulf in general, yet his music pushes the whole Gulf Coast lifestyle, thus encouraging people to go there. People who gripe about how tourism is evil shouldn't open chain restaurants.
  14. Post moved. I was in Dave's Orlando trip thread when I posted this "Buffet" comment, or so I thought. 'Tis a puzzlement.
  15. Hey, not in that picture! Epic, as always, Dave. That was one helluva good week. I have also resolved to order a copy of Shark Attack 3 and Butcher's Ballroom.
  16. Only if the mule team to which he hitches the car can run that fast. Thanks for the look at the DeLorean factory--I didn't realize there were that many DeLoreans still around.
  17. It looks like the T-Rex Cafe does the Rainforest Cafe one better when it comes to themeing. But did they serve deep-fried dino bites (like the gator meat at Gatorworld)? Happy Belated Birthday, Kevin.
  18. ^Damn that leaky faucet in the bathroom! ^^The Force must be strong with him.
  19. The rapids ride with the four-person rafts (in which they load only two people) cracked me up. And I thought BGE's Roman Rapids had crappy operations.
  20. ^Here's one little hint. Not a huge drop in spending--at least on the surface.
  21. I remember using one of those plastic-mold machines at Universal Studios Hollywood back in the 1970s--to make a little Frankenstein monster.
  22. In general, parks with "great operations" don't have "2 hour waits," unless they're really busy. Could you clarify this statement a bit?
