  1. your response here your response here your response here While I understand your point, and you're trying to be helpful, please don't be a "backseat moderator." Thank you.
  2. The distinction can be a bit tricky.
  3. If I ever visit Rome, I'd definitely check out Cinecitta World. I'd like to see them do a dark ride or coaster themed to The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly someday.
  4. KD's Flight of Fear has a bit more "mood lighting" now.
  5. I didn't rank Gringott's because I consider it to be a "dark ride with coaster elements," as opposed to Mummy, which is a "coaster with dark ride elements." I wonder if that makes any sense to anyone but me?
  6. ^I think the answer, at least for me, is that Gringotts doesn't quite qualify as a coaster--it's more of a dark ride.
  7. Thanks for the photos and videos. Steel Vengeance looks great, but is anyone surprised by that?
  8. It's good to see Lost Gravity in the top 25 steel coasters. It's a great ride that I think is a bit underappreciated.
  9. The results make sense to me. I was very pleased that Kolmarden's Wildfire did so well (one of RMC's best creations).
  10. They had some better-than-average merchandise for Twisted Timbers.
  11. Hard to believe this park is already 20 years old. It's one of Disney's most beautiful creations, and they've steadily improved it.
  12. Erik Johnson and I were there yesterday, and that was our experience. We rode in the front seat early, and it was fun. Then we sat toward the rear of the train and it was "holy crap" fun! Lots of ejector air on the hills and lots of crazy stunts in a fairly small space.
  13. Sounds your first coaster ride of the season tops mine: Woodstock Express at Kings Dominion.
  14. Looks like a great event--especially the fireworks and the Pixar parade.
  15. Did Elissa just stay with Chip and Dale for the remainder of the cruise? That brunch looks fantastic.
  16. Great photos and report, Andy. As for your log-flume story, a similar thing happened to myself and a friend of mine on the Log Jammer at Mariott's Great America in California when we were in high school. We didn't injure ourselves, but it scared the crap out of us.
  17. The Italian food at BGW is tricky. If you get it right after they bring a new tray out, it's OK. But not so hot if they serve you the last of what's on the tray. The Smokehouse and Fethaus are usually a better bet, but I do like the Mogolian Beef and Mediterranean Beef at Marco Polo's Marketplace.
  18. My beef with Thunderbolt is the trains--cramped, cheap looking, and rather shaky. But I love the ride's layout.
  19. Yes, Eire is the old Irish name for Ireland. Battle for Eire will be officially opening tomorrow, by the way.
  20. OK, I want some of that pork belly--now!
  21. ^It's a great ride that fits in a fairly small space.
  22. I share your confusion, even though I don't hate Grizzly.
  23. That was such a great ride. The backward launch, where you hang upside down for a bit, was truly scary!
