  1. Nice pictures! I can't resist a good flower shot.
  2. Flights are all booked, last thing left is tickets! I can't believe I'm doing it. WCB 2010 was so amazing. I can't wait!
  3. I can't really find a good picture but, I like on Cornball Express, the part where the track drops between two I-beams, which the scaffolding supports are suspended from, and from there go under the track to support it. It's like a hanging wooden coaster. I also like the support under Raging Bull's trim on the cross-over hill. It's cool and cantilevered.
  4. Could've sworn I posted in here before but... X2 in the back, with the insane flip at the bottom. Expedition GeForce, in the front actually, I love staring down it. Ravine Flyer II, built up on the hill, overlooking Lake Erie. It's another great twisting drop to look down.
  5. This ride. Ughhhh so good. I still don't understand how it doesn't topple over with such light supporting. And I'll never understand how it squeezes so much ejector air into random places that wouldn't have any on any other coaster. It's magical.
  6. A few of my favorite things: -Ceramic hand crank coffee grinder So I can be a coffee snob with my Kona/Costa Rica beans and stovetop espresso pot. -Chinese 24/7 Mandarin book for beginners, to help me out in my study of foreign languages, and maybe know a little something for that TPR China trip! Those are pretty much the two things I'll be playing around with the most. I also "got" a family trip to Maine this summer, a little Chinese travel guide, and my mom apparently had to get me a k'nex coaster set (another, as they used to be my obsession), in efforts to just have my play with roller coasters at home instead of traveling everywhere.
  7. Gah, I hope that's not true. Raging Seas is one of my favorite flats there.
  8. That hill strikes my support fetish in an odd way. I wish they'd just put one more in there. But I guess you don't need much when in that area particularly, the track just needs to be held DOWN. This looks wonderful.
  9. I should probably study abroad in Spain.
  10. Poseidon's Fury really is wonderful to just stand near and watch as people tumble towards the shore. Those waves are absurd.
  11. Woohoo! Now, to snag the proper flights..
  12. It really puts things into perspective to see a regular hill out in the middle of the ride that's as tall as most B&M's first drops.
  13. The retracking and friendlier staff were my first thoughts as well. Any addition is nice, but they have some incredible coaster layouts there. Hades would probably be in my top 5 if it didn't hurt so much. There is so much within the current park that could and needs to be fixed up. It really lacks the feeling of a real, complete park, like it could be. It's too much of a crappy roadside attraction.
  14. I know what you mean, I had the same feeling about it, but I think it was mostly due to the animation not giving a really clear idea of what the ride will look like. Seeing the drop going up has piqued my interest though, maybe once this "unfolds" a bit more in real life you'll be more into it.
  15. As if I needed another reason to go to Kennywood next year. I love giant frisbees. It's too bad Pitfall is leaving, but I think this is a pretty fair replacement, if not even a bit scarier (to me).
  16. As "boring" a new ride as this is, I'm still looking forward to it as the park is within driving distance, and I've never been on any sort of inverted boomerang coaster. The colors look great too. But oh yeah, Talon makes the trip worth it anyway!
  17. I seriously feel like it was about two months ago I was doing this. I'll have to get mine together within the next couple of days.
  18. ^Yes, I've been on them both, and consider them both Stengal dives. This, I also consider to be one. But either way, I didn't know it, "went up and curved past 90 degrees," interest points added.
  19. I've really gained an appreciation for the simple Sit-Down B&Ms. I really enjoyed Wildfire, but Kumba really blew me away. It really gave me a rush that only a few coasters have done. I also really enjoyed Hulk. Aside from those, I guess I'd say Hypers. I love a good Invert as well. Specifically, Talon, Montu, and Black Mamba.
  20. I didn't realize this has a Stengal Dive. Interest points added.
  21. Nahhh, maybe we'll see Sarah Silverman make an appearance... Great pictures as always! I haven't even gotten all of my own to facebook yet...I love reliving this trip, it was one of the best!
  22. HAHAHA! I think I have some RuPaul's dragulator pics on my iPod...
  23. ^The truss makes the actual track part on top look TINY.
  24. So, the brake run will lead right into the station? I was under the impression that that area would be the transfer area, and the station was right at the base of the lift.
