  1. Im sorry how long this update took, but ive been very busy these few days, now its time of Mall of America a.k.a MOA! MOA is a VERY big mall just outside of Minneapolis, and is most well know for having a large indoor amusement park, Nick Universe. Nick Universe is a very cool park and has some very rare, and unique attractions. We went on a Saturday, but the lines moved VERY quickly, the longest we had to wait was about 15 minutes! As for the mall its self, there are tons of stores so your sure to find something the interests you, but many of the stores are repeats and you can find them in more that one spot in the mall. Now, on the pictures! This is where we are today! It seems like each state had its own parking area and a symbol the represent that state. I wonder what the CA one was...lol MOA has some new hotness! We didn't check it out. But they had some fishy's on display! Nick Universe is smack in the middle of the mall, so its almost impossible to miss! When we got there, they were just done testing rides, like the awesome log chute! The LEGO store is connected to the park, so we had to go in there! You can't do this at Knott's anymore First up, my first Euro Fighter! It was pretty awesome! Its much rougher than it looks, but if you keep your head pressed against on side of the restraint, it shouldn't be a problem! Oh, Euro fighter p0rn Are you SURE that isn't hitting the roof?! Brain Surge was awesome! Its pretty much at Himalaya, but with spinning cars like a Rock-o-Plane! According to the sign, this coaster is fairly odd, but it was just your average Gerstlauer Spinner! I want my money back!! Aang says "Come ride my coaster!" Avatar was a really cool ride! I look like you were only inches from hitting the roof! Orange Streak was a fun ride. It covered almost every bit of the park, and it had a dark ride part in log chute! I spy a Jeff Johnson credit! ...was a fun Sally shooting dark ride! I thought the ending was kind of funny! Do they even make this show anymore?! Still can't do this at Knott's..... There's nothing odd about this you lieing sign!! Its just fun! Log Chute was AWESOME, like, one of the best rides of the trip AWESOME! Yes, there ARE backwards swings one this ride! But we had to wait and extra 7 minutes for this ride because some lady spell here coffee at the entrance gate! Hammerhead.. I mean Tak attack was OK, a bit boring though. Make sure you stick your legs out though! I can be a bit painful if you don't! Uhh, Sponge Bob, what are you doing?? Time to check out the LEGO store! I made this random LEGO man! Even Woody got the LEGO treatment! Yes, that is made completely out of LEGO bricks! Even the base is LEGO!! Lets check out some of the other things in MOA, like this wedding chapel! Some ACER'S made a habitat in the mall! Random Zoltar like thing! The Popcorn here smell REALLY good, but it was a bit to pricy This place had everything thing from the Slap chop, to the shake weight! I got some cool twisty puzzles in here! Like I said, Nick Universe is really hard to miss!! Is this... ...really necessary?! Lots of random things like this all over the MOA There was some cool LEGO sets displayed outside of there store! Hey, I have this one!! Its hard to tell, but there's a car ride some where in there Time to do the ropes course! "RAH! Ima ANGRY Flying Dutchman! Come do my ropes course!!!!" It was really cool, it did scare me a bit though! But is only $4 with a wrist band, so its something you shouldn't miss! Im in the bottom some where in this picture! There I am doing the scary "Boxes of death"! More MOA coming soon! Thanks for reading!
  2. I think the park has improved A LOT since the old premier days.. Sure, it could use some work here and there, but that doesn't really make a park bad, its just something they could improve on. They employees are friendly, there are less 1 train operations, the ride crews give you high-fives!
  3. Totally caught me off guard, hopefully they're wrong. Seems like NorCal keeps shafted when it comes to coasters. Although it's only 3 years old, Stealth at CGA only lasted 3 years before being relocated. Though the last couple of times I've been to SFDK, Pandemonium's line hasn't been long and barely ever ends near the covered part of the queue (note I never go on weekends in the summer). It if does end up leaving it would be interesting to note that both CGA & SFDK would only have 7 coasters each... When I go, the line is usually in the old Zonga station almost to where the control both used to be, but thats at the peak, the line is usually very short in the beginning and end of the day. Pandemonium used to have lots of problems, but I really don't see them as much a I used to back in 08 and 09, it doesn't seem like "maintenance nightmare" like Stealth was, even Carowinds agrees about that. I would hope that if the ride really goes, we could see something good in its place. Zac spin anyone?
  4. I just remembered one from a few months ago- My friend got back from a trip to Disney Land he was telling about the drive over there- "We went by Magic Mountain, an they have a new drop ride!" Me-"Really? Last time I checked, they didn't" My friend described it, an it turns out, he thought Sky Tower was a drop ride Me-"Thats not a drop ride, its an observation tower" Friend- "No, there was this HUGE plat form, and it dropped! Me-"That was just the observation deck, it says at the top" Friend- "What ever"
  5. ^ I can't say much for Zac spins but I can say that Euro Fighters Kick @$$!! It would be awesome to have one at the park, especial if it has those new lab-bar only trains DDD! I would call a Euro Fighter a "Real coaster"
  6. ^Go a couple pages back, there are a lot of posts about wait times I kind of think those "sources" are wrong, for one, that ride ALWAYS has long wait times, no matter what day you go. Second, its something the park need- a coaster that in size, is between Roar and cobra, and its a great family coaster! And the park got it, what, three years ago?! Its not like some of the other SF parks have had spinners for longer or anything .
  7. Awesome work man! This is the best non-CS park ive ever seen! Keep it up!
  8. Wow, intamin brings us yet another awesome ride to Hershey! I really hope I can get over to Hershey park some day!
  9. Line jumping is a HUGE problem at sfdk, and very few employees tend to care about it. EDIT: Oh, and the operations HAVE gotten a lot better, more two train operations and faster dispatches on many of the rides
  10. Smooth in the front, rough in the back, but not colossus rough IMO, and some of the best airtime on that ride is in the back!
  11. I usually don't go on Saturdays, but on the few times I did, your looking at around 1-2 hour waits for rides like medusa and roar, good thing we have ERT on them! Ive seen the wait for kong up to 3 hours sometimes, but thats with one train. You don't have to really worry about some of the "less poplar rides" like Voodoo, but some of the rides that are normally like this on weekdays, like V2, can get very long lines on Saturdays, so make sure you hit those rides first!
  12. Ok so its time for the rest of Valleyfair! The rapids ride is right next to Excalibur, but we didn't ride it. It looked really nice though! Renegade is right around to corner, so we took another spin on it! GCI awesomeness!!! Apocalypse is still my favorite GCI, but ride is defiantly second! Random lady in front a powered coaster photo..... "How much for the little girl?" Hordes of trashcans at Cedar Fair park?!! That's new!! This one kept following me.... darn trashcan! They have an Enterprise here, but like I said, Schwarzkopf > Huss IMO Random Morgan shot 1 Random Morgan shot 2- Morgan's Revenge! Time for the Intamin coaster! That trashcan followed me all the way to Venom's Queue... you darn trashcan you!! Steel Venom was a fun ride, and the holding brake actually WORKED unlike a certain two coasters at a certain two Six Flags parks! So this was a new experience for me! Steel Venom is in the same area as the "up-charge" attractions Oh Noes!! A giant blob is attacking the random Wild Thing viewing area!!!! Still isn't as good as a Schwarzkopf... ... but the cars on this Himalaya look cool! This topspin was evil, you know why? THATS WHY!! This theater looked cool, but I don't feel like having my Galaxy rocked thank you very much! Wild Thing, just being family like! They had this preppy sing and dance type show here, but I don't like that kind of stuff so I didn't watch it! Oh, behind the scenes!! But unfortunately, it was taken over by Pepsi! I got me a yummy funnel cake!! We decided to check out the water park There's that slide I took a random photo of earlier! We only did there things in the water park, the wave pool, the lazy river, and this awesome slide!! It was like a lazy river but on 1000 pounds of crack! Defiantly one of the best water rides on the trip! Time for some Outlaw coaster! The train really does take some of those elements with great speed! Like I said, morning rides= OK. Evening/night rides= AWESOME!! Time for one last ride on "No so Wild" Thing! Would be a lot better if the Mid-course brakes weren't there! But whats that guy staring at? Thank you monopoly train sign! Random arrow shot! Early Spiders are awesome! If your really luck, your car will spin during the whole ride like they have in the past for me! High Roller is High Rolling! This reminds me of home! (: Last KLOOSH!! of the day! OMG PLANT ATTACK!!! Thanks Valleyfair! for an awesome day!!! Thanks for reading and don't forget to please post your comments!!
  13. ^ Thanks for clearing that up!! The back seat on Roar has some really nice airtime on that first drop thought! But I agree, I think the front is the best seat on that ride.
  14. The weather wasn't TOO bad when we went, but remember, it can be overcast and still be 90 degrees out side over in the Midwest, so just because its overcast doesn't mean its horribly cold, wet weather! Some parks like Noah's Ark offer free wet suit rentals for those cold days, so you can stay warm and a have a great day, even when its cold! I really would like to see something like the dells on the Westcoast as well! Especially if that mean's tons of awesome water parks and coasters like Hades, Hellcat, and Cyclops!!
  15. Nice TR! I live pretty close to that park but Ive never been there, maybe next year! Bombs Away looks like a really cool slide, is there a lot of force on that turn? It sure does look that it! Thanks for sharing!
  16. Im probably going to do the same thing, gets some rides on Roar and Pandemonium during morning ERT, then head over to V2 for couple of rides on that. Spend some time in the park (and maybe the SC fair), then ride Medusa and Sky Screamer (if its open) a bunch of time during night ERT. I really hope they'll open something else up for night ERT if Sky Screamer is still closed!
  17. Oh magical Title Fairy, may my title be changed to "Hi"?
  18. Did you ride in the back row? I always found that first drop to deliver in the back row. And since when did they market the ride as a flying coaster??
  19. Here's my list Kingda Ka- The launch was close to force less, it was rough, and over all not up to the hype. Renegade- Not get me wrong, I loved this ride, but with all the hype, I really though it was going to be a lot better than it was. Nitro- When I rode it, there was almost no airtime and the only redeeming thing about it was the helix, not the top 10 coaster people said it was Scream/Bizzaro- I thought they were both kind of boring. Mantis- Many people think its one of the best rides at CP, but it REALLY hurt my legs. The list can keep going on and on
  20. I don't know if this has been motioned but wasn't Hyper Sonic XLC originally planned for CGA, but got moved to KD at the last minute because of those darn neighbors?
  21. ^ Don't worry, I had the tittle of the first TR of Noah's Ark on TPR stolen from me just a couple weeks before I posted mine, so your not alone!
  22. Its time for Valleyfair! Valleyfair is a fairly large park just out side of Minneapolis and is one of the nicer park in the CF chain IMO. They have a very good GCI woody (Renegade), which I recommend riding in the evening because it seems to need to warm up a little. A fun hyper coaster(Wild Thing), lots of flat rides, and an included water park which has a very cool "tube chutes" like attraction! The ride crews and food staff were very fast and efficient and park has an over all nice feel to it. But enough chat, its picture time! Its a very nice day in the land of the lakes! A perfect time to go to Valleyfair! Hello Wild Thing, your were made not to far from my house! The entrance It looks like Corkscrew got some new paint They have and Early spider here, awesome! We'll have to check it out later! Even though some of the rides like Corkscrew were open, we still had to wait for them to open the back half of the park. The new Camp Snoopy looked awesome! Wow mom, your such a lier! They have a new coaster in camp snoopy! To bad its powered. And for $100, which coaster do you think we'll hit first? If you guessed the Arrow mouse, you win!! But for real, it was a fun little coaster and it still surprises me how darn smooth the Arrow mice are! (For a wild mouse that is) We headed to the back of the park for the next coaster And there it is! Renegade was a very fun, very fast woody! Kind of rough on the out and back part but other than that, its pretty smooth! But make sure you come back ride this in later in the day, because my rides in the morning were OK. But my rides in after noon- the night were awesome!! Wow, I didn't know they have one of those Intamin looping star ship thingys! I real didn't like the one at CGA, and this one wasn't much better! The area that Excalibur was in was closed, so I just randomly took a picture of one of the slides in soaked city. There's a lot of S&S in this picture! Its time for the Morgan coaster... ... Wild Thing! Wild Thing a fun ride, but not much more than that. It LOOKS very impressive, but its pretty much a really tall, really fast family coaster! Still a fun ride though! Next up, my first Screamin' Swing! Pretty awesome ride! But the program was a bit short though. Now where have I seen something like this before? At this point, my camera died so I had to take the rest of the VF photo's with my phone. (Don't worry, there pretty decent) TAKE THE TUNNELS!!! I noticed this tilt-a-whirl right next to Wild Thing's entrance Random S&S tower! Time for the Arrow looper and my brothers first coaster with inversions! After riding Corkscrew at CP, I wasn't so sure about this ride, but it wasn't that bad! This shoot-the-chutes ride was the same as the one at Noah's Ark, which mean a giant SKLOOOSH!!! We ate at Panda Express, and it was pretty good, but a bit pricey though. Random carrousel photo! There were marching bands like this allover the park. Ether that or this band was really good at marching! There was a cool looking car ride... ... as well as a train! Time of the parks other woody! High Roller was a cool coaster, and there was a surprisingly good amount of airtime towards the front the train! But this hill delivers, no matter what seat your in! This may look like your average swing ride hear, but it does something that's both totally screwed up, and totally awesome at the same time! They have some of those "dry park water slides" here like lagoon! Look at the line for the Wild Mouse mouse! Good thing we rode it first thing! This was fun little flat ride, and the program was pretty long too! Time for the really big arrow mine train! Excalibur was one of the biggest surprises of the trip! Not only was it pretty smooth, but it had a decent amount of airtime and some really nice laterals! More Valleyfair! coming soon! Thanks for reading and please post your comments!
  23. Didn't get any scrapes on your back??? How could I, there tube slides
  24. ^ My friend and I went flying down those typhoon slides as well! I remember the far right and the far left ones being the fastest.
  25. ^ I also did a PTR of Sun Splash if you want to check that out!
