  1. Looking at the park maps and 'lands' information, they will have: Roller coaster called 'Clingmans Doom' themed after the tallest mountain in TN Stunt Show themed to Davey Crocket Black Bear Habitat Sally Shooting Dark ride with shotguns Horse drawn carriage rides Mighty Mississippi river raft A Lighthouse observation tower 3D Ocean ride 4D Barnyard Frolic Show Drop Tower Roller coaster themed to off roading Petting Zoo Roller coaster themed to stock car racing Upscale Dining Potential ride themed to college football Gardens for Picnics Kiddie Rides To me, the drawings, maps, and whatnot remind me of a Dollywood/Silver Dollver City combination.
  2. Well this is interesting.... Website is live here! Press Release: Basically they have 6 investment points ranging from $25-$1000, each having different perks. The money would go towards the master plans that will be used to gain the funding needed to actually build the park. Therefore it's buyer beware, in other words you are making a donation, and if the park is built you will get a few special perks for helping them out but no return of actual funds. Ole' South has set a deadline of 121 days from today to raise the capital needed to complete the master plan. Clicky Why you should join the crowd video
  3. ^ This. I am told by the flight fairy to wait until closer to Christmas.
  4. Crappy Report: Checked the mailbox and found this inside. It wasn't ticking, so I felt somewhat encouraged. Time to weigh in. It was determined that crap does infact weigh alot. Pakced in tight, just like....nevermind. I was about to share too much with you people. Moving on. @$($$^)*!#^& That box exploded all over my table!!!! Let's see, well, hmmmmm. Well, not sure where these make money, they obviously do, but the ones we had in town have all disappeared. Maybe they shouldn't be placed in locations where tornados are experienced. HELL YES!! Best.Zamperla.Ride.Evar. Plan your own ProSlide Water Park! Nout sure when this photo was taken, but the 80's haircuts just don't do it for me. This is cool, the cover has a finish on it that makes it look like a wave is coming at you. OK! And finally, the wholly grail. This says it all, uptime, uptime, uptime. This crap was so massive that I needed to buy more TP. Seriously. I was out. Thanks for sending me your crap Robb, much appreciated!
  5. Can you give us another choice besides: Dixieland, Fun Spot or Old Town? I don't think you have hit the bottom of the barrel, I think you are looking underneath the barrel now. You do make a valid point, I have sunk to new sad and pathetic lows haven't I? Ok, so more choices, lets see what do I have...ok, here we go. 4 Disney Parks, 1 Day; Small Busch Gardens Bash report, State Fair of Texas, Silver Dollar City Christmas, plus one more that I've been saving behind door #3.
  6. Got a large box in the mailbox today, wonder whats in it, hmmmmmm. Oh yeah, CRAP! Will post a PTR after I dig myself out of all this awesome stuff!
  7. I for one will not miss it. It's cool to ride it once or twice, but after that I'm like, whats the point. Of course in general I am that way towards Universal Orlando anyway. To me, the only good rides are Mummy and MIB, HRRR doesn't have a good pace with too many block sections that keep it from being an amazing ride. Plus for the price point nowadays vs what you get, I'm going to pass. I'm not a Disney fan by anymeans, but for something like $5 over the cost of a Universal two park you get four parks at Disney, and Disney has better food....and Star Tours. Factor in the parking fee differences and its a wash. (One Day Pass pricing) Chad "I don't really care that Jaws leaves and want them to put something in that is amazing not named Harry without over inflating the price for a chance that they might persuade me to come back one me time" Carter
  8. Wacky Worm (For Robb, not me, mine is still Lex Luther)
  9. Its not about winning, it was awesome tho!
  10. ^ lol, true, Six Flags doesn't build wooden coasters, how foolish of me!
  11. Sorry Magic Mountain fanboys, but the new drop ride is on my list. Sure it has height, but thats about it.
  12. 85 parks in one year was a HUGE accomplishment for me. I went places I never thought I would go like Oregon and Idaho, I went to kiddie parks without shame, and the #1 highlight for me: I can now go into Victoria Secrets with a female without feeling awkward.
  13. I bow down to Shane, these Super 8 videos are supurb! I wonder if I like them so much because I grew up with Super 8 camcorders
  14. ^Kids N Action?!!?! I thought I was bad
  15. "Since they don't build wooden roller coasters anymore, they re-did the Texas Giant with steel"
  16. Aiight guys, looks like no one wants to see Dixieland Funland (honestly, its not that great) so next up I head to Old Town and Fun Spot in ORLANDO! Note: I love smaller parks with old school and new school flats so get ready, my next adventure will be full of love for Fun Spot and maybe a little for Old Town!
  17. Here is the list I will most likely end up with for the year. 85 Different parks, multiple vists to many. P.S. Not playing for a BOC since I recently won one.
  18. This is very welcome news. Personally I thought the topper track used up at SFNE did a nice job of smoothing things out, maybe too smooth(kidding). I thought the topper track there had a slight bit of roughness to it, but it wasn't glass smooth. If you make it too smooth the transitions might seem a little janky IMO. Heres to giving it another chance at DSB....water challenge anyone???? P.S. This counts as a new credit right?
  19. Well, International Rides Management has for sale a Condor. The pictures they have of a Condor on their website are a match for Morey's. An example of one? Doubtful. Yes, I know the Album is a bit dated, however as QueerRudie pointed to me, its now listed as available IMMEDIATELY!. So, couple this with all of the other rides they are dumping, and I'd say my theory of them moving stuff around to get ready for the woodie could possibly be spot on. www.facebook.com/#!/media/set/?set=a.159157834098056.41185.159151417432031&type=3 looks like Morey's Smells like Morey's Must be Morey's!
  20. I highly recommend the beens and greens, quite tasty. One word of advice however, if you are on the new hotness trip don't sit in the back of the bus
  21. People have to live in a town in order to support retail. La has two outlet malls already and one about an hour from the old SF's site. I'd be curious to see current numbers of how many displaced individuals have rebuilt and returned to New Orleans. Regardless, from a tourists prospective, I'd rather have seen a themepark/waterpark/backlot with tour, or some sort of mixed use boardwalk style park and shopping. Oh well, it is La afterall.
  22. ^ True that. So the next big question is, does anyone want to see what Dixieland Funland has going on?!?!? They were pushing some dirt around on my visit, but in all honesty, if no one pipes up and says they want to see it, I'm going to skip on down to Florida. If you want to see it, tell me soon!
  23. ^^ I don't know that it ever really hit full steam, it was fun, and fast, just not as intense as some of the carnival ones I've been on. Perhaps too many reverse of fortunes were occuring. ^I was looking on billtracy.net and saw a castle theme, I am guessing it had been that way since it opened? (well, until now that is) The Wacky Factory overall still had a very Bill Tracy feel. I couldn't tell you what was new and what wasn't since it was my first time but my untrained eye suggested there were several newer tricks incorporated. It really wasn't a bad ride, not overly cheesy.
  24. I stayed at the Gaylord Opryland earlier this year and the hotel itself is amazing with the gardens and eateries. A little pricey to eat, but hey, it wasn't my dime. The rooms were your standard Hilton type rooms, kinda small and not overly elaborate, but they were nice. The Shrek theme adds an extra something to the event that seemed to be lacking in years past. I too question the restroom and re-entry policy. I know they like to keep the line moving so to speak but one would think at the very least a quick exit midway to the "outhouses" and back in would be acceptable.
