  1. SFGAdv won't be running 3 trains on GL as they don't have the 3rd anymore. It was on loan from SFMM which they have shipped back. SFMM hasn't ran 3 trains on Riddler's in 3 or 4 years if I recall correctly. The 3rd train will help with their rehab schedule as they can always rotate 1 train out for rehab at a time so that there's 2 running on any given day.
  2. SFMM got their 3rd train back for Riddler's. Riddler's needs it more than GL does.
  3. Don't get me wrong, I do agree about the park needing flat rides (Thrill and/or family). I do my fair share of bashing the park but all joking aside I would love nothing more than to see the park invest in improving infrastructure and yes, add a few flat rides but like Joey said, getting a ROI for a flat ride is damn near impossible.
  4. I imagine CH's opening won't be until this weekend at the earliest.
  5. ^I'll take whatever you're drinking. SFMM has already shown they have no interest in focusing on flat rides.
  6. I imagine the park either comped their tickets and/or gave them tickets to return.
  7. I love that BGT tries to minimize the assumptions and half-brained comments. Kudos to their Social Media department.
  8. ^Don't speak ill of Jaguar! It's the big cat of coasters!
  9. According to firefighter's in this article, the weather did not hamper CH's operation.
  10. ^That's definitely a possibility as well. You'd be surprised what will stop a coaster train.
  11. ^ & ^^ Yea I'm wondering if there was a mechanical failure with the train or if the launch was interrupted at just the precise moment to have the train stall there.
  12. Rev takes a while to load which is why it has a line. Tall/larger riders are constantly having to be juggled around to different seats to get the restraint monitoring system to clear.
  13. Is it bad that I'm laughing at this announcement?
  14. Do you get to test GhostRider or does some other crew do that? Maintenance does the testing. Before it opens to guests, members of management from the Ride operations and Maintenance departments will do test rides.
  15. ^Makes sense. Unfortunately I've only been on the 4 US Intamin Accelerator coasters. Xcelerator holds a special place in my heart because I operated it for 5 years but I would honestly say that Storm Runner's launch is slightly more powerful.
  16. That's a damn shame. Sad to hear. Thanks for the explanation.
  17. Makes for an amazing front entrance. Yes, more so than CP. Don't hear a lot about this Accelerator coaster. LOVE the Norwegian loop. How is it in comparison to say, Storm Runner and/or Kanonen?
  18. ^I've seen these already but thank you.
  19. Here's a few from CP. MF transfer console Iron Dragon control panel Iron Dragon Lift 2 start panel Source A panel I'm really interested seeing is Maverick's. Anyone have it?
  20. Typically the decision is left to the controls company, but there have been a few times the park requested otherwise. Air was an example where they wanted us to use the smaller 22mm pushbuttons instead of the standard 30mm you usually see. Right now as far as controls equipment, Allen Bradley has the US market cornered while everyone in Europe uses Siemens. Asia is still up for grabs by both companies. We prefer AB over Siemens but will work with either provider depending on park requests. And yes, we are proud to be a Michigan company. We try to order as much equipment as possible locally and we use a panel shop located in Plymouth, Michigan. -Brian Siemens is a European company so that makes sense. Thanks for your time as usual.
  21. ^^Prime example is trash cans in the parking lot before the park opens that are overflowing. It's clear that the trash cans don't get emptied daily. That's just 1 example that really stands out to me.
  22. Who decides whether to use Siemens push buttons or Allen-Bradley? Manufacturer or programmer? I did notice that Siemens seems to be the choice on most coasters in European & Asian countries.
