  1. A chain for X2 costs an exorbitant amount of money I'm sure so considering all of the budget constraints chain wide, having an item that expensive sitting in inventory is not a smart business move. Would it decrease an attraction downtime to have a spare chain on hand? Absolutely! Is it a smart business move? Nope!
  2. ^^Thank you for that. I love that they had to adjust the stop lights to accommodate the height of the float.
  3. ^Yea I know what you mean. Furious Baco is just cutting legs off left and right. I can see the pain in these rider's faces!
  4. Depends on how many links are broken. If the chain is in bad shape in general then the entire thing will be replaced.
  5. B&M, Intamin, Zierer, etc use 3rd party vendors for various components. Magic Mountain most likely purchases from a chain vendor that also supplies B&M with their chains. And as others have said, you don't want an excess inventory of parts. For example, back in the 1980's Knott's purchased a DC motor that drives the rear cable tensioner of Montezooma's Revenge that's responsible for returning the "Bob" to the station after a launch. They didn't need it until 2007/2008, so that was money sitting on the shelf for 20 something years.
  6. Members of management and maintenance rode today. Video on BGW's FB page.
  7. If Raptor valleys it's usually on the upward helix to MCBR. Train would be going full speed at the location the crane is so something catastrophic would've had to happen to the train for it to valley at the bottom of the drop. HaHa!
  8. I know there's no way it could run with 3 trains, but I would think a year around park, would invest in 3 trains for all their rides that way they can always have at least 2 trains operational. This makes sense and would be good guest service. Therefore, they won't do it.
  9. I agree that the block before the second lift on TC will have little to no affect on the ride. None of the brake zones on CA Screamin' trim speed off of the train with exception of eddy-current brakes in zone 6 (Just above entrance to Mickey's Fun Wheel) which even at that, the speed reduction is slight.
  10. ^Trains will be traveling up the lifts at same time so in order for the train on the first lift (Blue) to drop off, there would need to be a block just before 2nd lift. (Green)
  11. The person that answers the phone at 980-335-1320 will have the answer you need.....
  12. Viper is more exciting than any B&M built in the last 10 years.
  13. This right here proves SF really doesn't care about their guests.
  14. European parks crap all over the US parks (Outside of Disney and Universal of course) in regards to themeing. Baron is looking impressive.
  15. I think you're going to feel sick tomorrow.....
  16. ^^LOL. For some reason I don't see the line for El Diablo being longer than 30 minutes even on a busy day. It will be a fun addition in all seriousness.
  17. KBF by far has the best food selections of any CF park.
  18. ^Agreed. SFMM's DejaVu had the least amount of downtime out of the 3. The park really had it running great. I was sad to see it go.
  19. ^This. Viper is STILL to this day 1 of the smoothest Arrows I've been on.
  20. Boom! via All-American Thrills FB Holy sh*t!! That's hilarious.
