  1. Now matter how "secure" they make it, it won't stop some douche bag from attempting to retrieve his hat.......
  2. Amazing photos and report. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Not sure, you'd have to contact GCI for that info. All it says on their site is "profile/banking & trackwork" Bottom line: GR will NEVER be back to its former glory unfortunately.
  4. GCI did work on GR back in '04 and it was still rough as sh*t. Now don't get me wrong I don't mind a rough wooden coaster but it needs to be manageable. GR is in no way manageable. I would love to see the park go with RMC for a extensive refurb but don't see it happening.
  5. Only thing KBF needs to consider for GR is a match. I rode GR when it opened in '98 and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Shame it's in the state it's in now. The park get's an "A" for effort as they're doing what they can with it by giving it 3 rehabs a year but still just isn't quite enough.
  6. There's nothing that can make GR less enjoyable........It's horrible in every sense of the word.
  7. Right side [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Left Side [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  8. That will produce a lengthy line for Soarin'.
  9. Landscaping looks very nice. Can't wait for my annual So cal to Nor Cal road trip in August.
  10. I'm with Joey where I do not think Jack should go back to CF as I do NOT want CF to return to their old ways. I do however think Jack would benefit a company like SF.
  11. ^^Says "parolee" so definitely applies to the park's clientele.
  12. With the disaster that happened last year, it was the smart move for them to do. I was a little surprised they are only doing 1 park at WDW as well.
  13. ^You're talking about coasters, correct?
  14. ^And by "busy" you mean "tacky?" In all seriousness, It's good they're at least switching things up. The last "show" was getting stale.
  15. ^^If at the front of the train it's called a pilot car and if it's at the back of the train it's called a zero-car. A good amount of B&Ms use pilot cars however inverts typically do NOT have them. Alpengeist is an exception because they were having trouble with the train not completing the course when it was testing. The pilot car adds extra weight needed for the trains to complete the circuit. I read this in an article with a BGW maintenance/engineering manager but unfortunately I can not find the article. Examples of other B&M pilot cars: Examples of Intamin pilot cars: Arrow zero cars: TPR Park Index Here you can see it at the back of the train. Hope this helps......
  16. Thanks for sharing your trip. Sorry your experience at SFMM wasn't the best and I'd be lying if I said I was surprised. I'm a Disney CM as well and the Photo Pass CD is a great deal with our discount. Out of curiosity: What kind of shows were you playing piano in?
  17. Our imagination is running wild. HW should just let us choose their next addition and its themeing. Scary thought however.....
  18. Definitely not opposed to the idea.........
  19. ^^Thanks for taking the time to keep us in the loop.
  20. ^Very true. PLC software can be loaded remotely as well. I've been on test and adjust teams as well where the programmers don't even need to be on property!
  21. I work your typical 8-5 Mon-Fri but I'm definitely not opposed to a mid-week offering. That's what vacation time is for!
  22. ^Nearly. The bathrooms just outside of the entrance are the worst. I feel like I'm going to catch hepatitis just walking in.
