  1. ^ Wow, 60 minutes is the longest I would have waited for X2.. audio or not. How was the weather? Surprised that it was that busy since it was quite chilly today down south. I guess, though, if you've planned out a trip for your vacation, some cold weather won't deter you from going to a theme park.
  2. Yeah, I watched the episode last night on my DVR and Viper did look really nice, but I think they chose the right weather (cloud cover) for filming - it certainly wasn't a cloud-free day where everything was in full-sun.
  3. Oh God the pictures are up.. I don't recall doing that salute on Miner Mike, but that was a pretty fun coaster. That was a fun weekend.. hope to do some more whoring in the future.
  4. Yeah, regardless of how they operate it, I think it will be awesome, and I'm looking forward to it. In fact, I'm actually quite apprehensive about riding it. I did the 300' (approx) tower at King's Island, but, for some reason, that extra 100 feet is scaring me. We'll see..
  5. True.. As for operating both sides at once or one after the other, as well as running Superman at the same time, well, this is SFMM. So, having the possibility of running all 4 rides (two superman towers, two drop towers) we'll probably see one run at a time. /cynicism.
  6. Never said they aren't the colors I wanted.. just voicing my opinion since this is a public forum. Again, just an opinion..
  7. Green/lavender? Superman tower is currently blue, yellow, and red? Way to go, SFMM!
  8. Awesome maps! I'm a Disney nerd myself, but you take the cake!
  9. Your report is so awesome it's like I was there. Oh wait. I had the same thoughts about the River Dance.. I only went to see it because Dolly was supposed to pop in. Once it started, I realized that there would be girls shaking their asses, so I was impressed. For anyone who's never been, Dollywood is an amazing park.
  10. 500 people + ERT + 2 rides + SFMM ops = LONG lines. I certainly wouldn't call that ERT. But still, it does sound fun, and I'm glad to see contests like that.
  11. Ugh.. No comment. At least Cars Land looks like it will be amazing. I guess I'll have to renew my pass so I can go there this summer.
  12. Didn't you say it was in the 80s in one of the pictures? Cinnamon Bread from SDC. And, I don't know - when was the last time you went to Branson? As for the tornado damage, thank you for the Ford dealership shot.. I'm also digging the old Pontiac logo - my brother had a '55 Starchief so I recognize the logo. Awesome pictures - I glanced at them for now because it's getting late, but I want to get back on here and take a better look at everything. Did anyone else notice a Kennywood arrow in the tornado pictures? Ok, not Kennywood per se, but use your imaginations folks.
  13. Crud I still have to finish looking at the pictures, but I had to stop for a minute. Is that Carroll Shelby? I would expect him to be cooking some of his Chili.
  14. ^^^^True. And that's completely understandable for average park goers who paid to get in for a typical day at the park - "Here's a ticket to come back for the same experience." However, with people who paid $49 to go to a 'special' event, I would be somewhat disappointed. With WCB 2011 at SFMM, there was rain, but ERT was still AMAZING. Same with Knott's in 2011 - ERT was insane, and they went out of their way to make everyone happy.
  15. ^ WOW I was actually thinking about going to the event, but now I'm really glad I didn't. Sorry that it turned out to be disappointing.. I'm assuming there will be a lot of people sending complaints.
  16. ^ Thanks for the info! So wait.. the park closed at noon, right? And then there was still no 'evening' ERT for the event goers? If you spent $49 on the event, and you already had a season pass, what was the compensation, a free ticket?
  17. So.. anybody going to comment on the lunch? Food offered/quality/etc. And what ended up happening for the after hours ERT?
  18. ^ Looking forward to hearing more about the day, and seeing pictures if possible. Speaking of pictures, please take some good ones of the lunch.
  19. Oh... my... gawd. /any other TR.. none will compare.
  20. Based on the Windseeker media day I went to, it's not that easy; even seeing Robb get POV footage - it just doesn't look that easy. It's not as if someone can ride next to the passengers in the photo shoot and take their picture with a DSLR camera. In reality, it takes some sort of bracketry for the ride, the right lighting, and decent looking people. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just think there's quite a bit of work involved in getting stock photos. And to be perfectly honest, I don't think too many people will notice the difference.
  21. Yeah, how about the B & M track on the Green Lantern station. It's advertising, and most members of the GP won't know the difference.
  22. ^ Because Superman can fly? Anyway, thanks for sharing the link. That's one heck of a collection of SFMM memorabilia.
