  1. Where the heck was I when all of these shenanigans took place? Great TR.. Video, please. Caesar... cute shirt.
  2. Loving the krazy updates. Is the ship even close to capacity? Just doesn't seem like much is going on in the pictures in terms of crowds.
  3. Since they're naming this ride after an energy drink, why not just call it Monster - it will fit better theme-wise with the area. Or Rockstar because of its proximity to the theater/stage.
  4. ^ Damn.. I can't stand Harvey Levin.. but I guess nobody knows of the "Thirty Mile Zone." And yeah, I know John Ritter from Threes Company/Problem Child.. and Bad Santa. *checks IMDB.com - he's also in a bunch of other stuff I've never seen*
  5. I'm commenting because I know what American Graffiti is.. Don't all car guys know? Nice pictures. Even though I've been to Hollywood many times, it's not something I pay much attention to - kind of like living so close to In N Out. But seriously, there are lots of things you took pictures of that I didn't know about. Since it was in your caption, who knows what TMZ stands for (no googling, and it's not just the tabloid show)?
  6. Yeah, but with those palm trees, it still has more theming than Scream.
  7. I guess there were 66,000 passholders there, out of 106,000 people (according to Al's article). How many of those are the cheap so cal passes I wonder? How could they have not anticipated the magnitude of this event? I've been on summer days where all the passes were allowed back after being blocked for the summer - INSANE! And that's with the proper staffing. I guess, for some reason, I thought DCA was open 24 hours as well - now I'm shocked that it wasn't. With all of those traffic/parking reports, that means it was only for one park. Wow.
  8. ^ Hmm, no. That might be a little extreme. Please RD don't kill me. *ducks*
  9. For those of you who have been to Disneyland for NYE, was the Leap Year event busier? I've heard a few reports that it was. I seriously don't think I would have made it out of there alive.
  10. ^ GP: "But, but, but.. we could fall out of this thing - I felt like I was gonna die." Seriously, what a great view of Revolution 'in the nude' - not because of no OTSRs, but because of how there weren't any full-grown trees encroaching on the track, or massive B & M fliers taking all of the attention.
  11. Wow.. seriously that commercial was awesome. RD... you've seen this, right?
  12. ^^ I was checking up on the twitter feeds and couldn't believe what was being reported. Even at 9-10 pm, the park was at capacity, and space was at 90 minutes. I had a bad feeling about the whole thing when I realized that none of the passes were blocked. I've been on the 'busy' days where all four passes were allowed in, and swore I'd never do it again. I guess it's cool to say you were there for 24 hours, or that you rode certain rides at 1-6 am (you'd never have any other chance to do this), but dealing with DLR's crowds? No.
  13. Nice! For a minute I completely forgot that you were talking about a roller coaster. Waiting for more!
  14. ^^ Looking at your photo of GL's line, does the ride draw major crowds? Even on a busy Saturday, does the queue ever fill up? And maybe not because all of the other rides are busy, but because people really want to ride it. Look at X2 after a few years - still draws major crowds. I guess I'm just curious. It seems that even at WCB with enthusiasts, it seems that quite a few people think it's not the most pleasant experience. I know that even with no line during ERT, I only rode it once.
  15. Well there is an elevator that goes all the way up, so maybe it will just be an elevator drop ride. It will be the REALLY 'good' tower.
  16. ^ QFT - Submarines are good for sitting for 10-15 minutes. Unless of course you're big Finding Nemo fans, then yeah, they're worth going on.
  17. Definitely! I'd be glad to show you guys around.
  18. Nice TR for Disney - I always enjoy hearing about the parks from people who have never been there before, especially since I go there often. As for crowds, you went in August, right? The first few (So Cal residents) passes should have been blocked out, so you would have been competing with deluxe/premium passes, plus people paying to get in. So, in terms of crowds, it can easily top what you saw. And, unfortunately, there isn't much of an off-season anymore - especially with payment plans on the passes. Regardless, looks like you had an awesome time. I also hope to see you on a trip again.
  19. You got two pictures of me with my eyes open. Success! Great pictures though, regardless..
  20. Holy crap.. that's the nicest box I've seen.
  21. I loved these pictures from last year, but now that I've been to Cedar Point, I really love these pictures. Thanks for sharing!
  22. Plus, I have a premium pass to Disney, and I had no desire to leave Knott's just to stop by for a few rides. A few years ago, when I had a pass to Knott's (I do for 2012 because of WCB), I would stop at Knott's for a bit, then go to Disney for the majority of the day. With the efficient operations lately, and the way the park generally looks/feels, I see myself spending a lot more time there. And since I have the tri-fecta of passes this year, SFMM will be in third place.
  23. ^ EXACTLY Even if they're not getting rich off of the event, it will benefit them through word-of-mouth referrals - I know firsthand how that is true.
