  1. Nice pictures, whore. Looking forward to the San Diego Zoo, now that I remember the 'theme' of your TR.
  2. The front row on Revolution was very enjoyable yesterday. Despite riding defensively, expecting some head/ear banging, it didn't happen.
  3. I also went to SFMM yesterday. The first parking lot barely filled up, yet Tatsu had people waiting on the stairs each of the three times I checked. From what I could tell from Viper, X2 had people waiting outside of the station. Apoc was running 2 trains, but only allowing riders on one - this was the case in the morning and afternoon. Riddlers was pretty much a walk-on. Batman was a walk-on with re-rides. Goliath was a walk-on, and there were some seats open for re-riding. Yeah, Scream/Colossus were closed. From what I could tell from Goliath, they were installing massive electrical boxes in the area where we all started our Goliath tours at WCB in 2011. Batman's queue did absolutely smell disgusting. The bathrooms by the M&M emporium (around the corner from the main gate) were putrid - you had to hold your breath because of the smell and the flies - I'm not joking. Since we planned on getting a big dinner in LA, we didn't want to eat a big meal at SFMM and just wanted a snack. We literally made a circle of the park to find something 'decent', but had no luck. $8 for fries, or $4.25 for a bag of fruit snacks/m&ms. If any of you have been to the candy stores at Six Flags parks, can you tell me why there are no prices? The employee got offended because I asked for prices. I refused to buy anything because of this. Sorry to rant, but I was at Disneyland twice last week and just saw so many things that are easily fixed at SFMM. I should note, however, that the employees were all quite friendly.
  4. Awesome pictures - I had to save the Disney shots, and Huntington Beach. Your HB shot is right where I used to live - in the harbor across from the wetlands.. I've never seen the wetlands from the air before.
  5. ^ Wow, it's already AAA night again? I went in 2010, but I guess 2011 was really busy?
  6. Since I just spent a week at Dollywood, I can agree. Add to that the fact that I live 80 miles from Disneyland/Knott's, went on 2 amazing TPR trips last summer to 'real' parks, and have been going to SFMM for about three years straight, and yeah, it's a good place for 'extreme' coasters, but that's about it.
  7. I can respond to everything with valid rebuttals, but you've obviously never been to other theme parks, right? SFMM has good rides. But how does that make it one of the best parks in the world? Of those 'good' rides, they neuter them (GL not spinning - it really doesn't spin much), sporadic audio on X2 (when it's part of the 4-D package), Revolution (OTSRs), etc. Go to other parks, and try to think of SFMM the same way.
  8. ^^ It's kind of hard to go off of 'sections', as opposed to which rides/attractions are the busiest. The midways are quite large at SFMM, as opposed to Disneyland, so there aren't too many traffic jams. Are you wondering which rides are the busiest?
  9. ^^ More than a couple of bad reports; a lot of us have been there personally. You're going to tell me that you read all of the negativity about WCB and you think nothing has changed at SFMM other than relocating a ride? Or getting rid of a museum? No.. a lot more than that has changed. Exactly. The park was looking phenomenal a few years ago. But now, not so much.
  10. ^ At least with TPR, it's okay to voice your opinion. I think there's a lot of SFMM veterans on here who have seen the changes, just in the past year or so. Even at WCB, I noticed a decline. Theme Park REVIEW.. Unlike other clubs, where everything has to be positive, even if it's not true.
  11. ^ That's why I love CA. Lost my seat on Astro Orbiter at Disneyland last night because a family lied about the number of rockets needed.
  12. I enjoyed this report! More like, "Is everything tight/secure up there?" Based on the drop tower's maintenance, I don't know if the swings fare much better. You forgot about the 'incident' at the kiddie coaster.. thankfully Caesar saved the day.
  13. ^ That's just really unfortunate. It was really nice to go up there to learn about the park, and to find new items. Honestly, what did it cost to have the items up there? I don't remember more than one employee in the tower (other then the one in the elevator).
  14. Well, no matter what, I see this as Q & A material at next year's corporate picn.... I mean West Coast Bash. As with all arguments, there are always two sides.
  15. ^ Yeah, I'm not disagreeing or agreeing with anyone. But seriously, of all of my concerns regarding SFMM (future rides, ride ops, seedy crowds, unruly teens, maintenance, etc.), I've never once thought about their pollution.
  16. I'm sure there are environmentalists after other theme parks. I just wonder if it's true that they've really spent $1 million. I also wonder if the claims are true that it's entirely SFMM's fault.
  17. From an LA Times comment: I'm not a tree-hugger by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm all for recycling and saving energy. But seriously, with a 260 acre theme park, dozens of rides rides requiring lubricants (that might wash away in the rain), the constant painting of rides/buildings, hundreds (thousands on busy days?) of cars coming and going when they are open, hundreds to thousands of guests when they are open, and the simple fact that SFMM 'exists', what do these environmentalists expect? This, my friends, is why SO many businesses are leaving CA. It's one thing to care about the environment, but it's another to sue/regulate/tax businesses out of existence.
  18. ^ I don't think it has to do with just the shrimp being frozen; it's the fact that everything they sell is frozen.
  19. As long as they can make a decent iced-coffee, I'm super excited about this. Since it sounds like they are going to theme it to the surrounding area, I see nothing wrong with it.
  20. Yeah, I also got the survey; I thoroughly enjoyed it. But seriously, the grammar issues. Based on the survey, and info that's been discussed on here, I'm looking forward to seeing what comes to fruition with the ride/theming.
  21. *facepalm* Now it makes sense. No matter what, even if they choose a generic name (like Scream), it sounds like it's going to be an awesome ride.
  22. Very off topic, but is it any good? The drink Full Throttle, I mean. Not that it being bad would stop the park from using it in a tie-in. While I brought up the energy drink comparison pages ago, it would also be cool if they themed it around cars (a full throttle engine, perhaps). Xcelerator and Top Thrill Dragster just came to mind.. But, then again, the ride will be in the 'woodsy' area of the park.
  23. Because of one person on here who mentioned it, there are dozens of us (AT LEAST) who now know about it, who will tell friends, and so on and so on. Kind of like the Revolution exit shortcut - that's been discussed many times on here, which is how I know about it; and I tell people about it. Word gets around..
  24. Yay, let's promote a hoard of people running once the gates open. Good job, SFMM!! I see an accident/lawsuit waiting to happen. Especially since a lot of areas in the park are wet when the park first opens because of hosing everything down. /pessimism.
