  1. Out of about a dozen trips to SFMM, I've never been on Deja Vu. It just doesn't appeal to me for some reason (not the head-banging, but the long wait on an average day). If I can tolerate the pain, is there anything special about the ride? (I've been on Boomerang at Knott's and didn't care for it).
  2. Awesome TR! You're right about the Fatburger truck - that's not fair; it would be like In N Out having a truck there. I noticed a lot (if not most?) of the trucks having Twitter addresses - that's a good use of the technology. Did anyone else notice the grill of this truck? (the food truck cut-outs)
  3. Just when I thought things couldn't get any better, I've been proven wrong! TPR never disappoints!
  4. Awesome thread - I was actually thinking about where to look up parking prices today. I totally understand why parks charge for parking (parking lot employees, trams, maintenance, security, etc.), but some of the prices go too far. It's funny how Disneyland can go from $12 to $15; not $13 or $14, but right to $15 (someones got to pay for the tram doors ). Anyway.. less than $10 is much better.
  5. 13 seconds with Firefox on Windows Vista. Not bad considering the internet is running at .74/mbps EDIT: 20 seconds to load on IE. But still, for the amount of info, and my internet speeds, it seems completely normal.
  6. ^^^ that's what I figured. You could cut the amount of coasters in half and it would stil be awesome!
  7. Awesome! I like how the tings are broken up. Do you think ninja will make its way into the lineup or am I looking right at it? Nighttime ert ends at 11:00 pm, right?
  8. No.. But here is the email response I received: Oh well..
  9. ^ Possibly. But I'm also thinking it's a vinyl wrap. As a FB comment suggested, the red train looks like someone shot it with a paintball gun. I do like the 'S' logo, though.
  10. Anyone wondering about Superman's graphics? From the SF facebook: Click here Looks like this is from the video shoot. EDIT: Here you go.
  11. Since ERT went until 10:30 am last year (when the gates open), I stayed toward the back of the park because it still took awhile for people to get down there. So, ERT for two hours in the morning on some good rides, then at least another half hour of line-free rides in the back of the park. During the day last year, the park was busy - it was a Saturday. Luckily, with tours, lunch, presentations, etc., there was no need to ride every ride multiple times - there was still nighttime ERT. If you're that concerned about 'getting the most out of your day', get a flash pass. But seriously, two ERT sessions is more than enough - you will get plenty of rides. On a similar note, since Superman will be opening that day, will most people be flocking over to that ride? (Not only TPR members, but most of the general public?) Just curious.
  12. People have short memories, does nobody remember that after "Light Tragic" and the DCA preview weekends, Disneyland no longer has special Passholder previews or events? Thanks for the update on Termilypse.. I agree on the FB comments - truly disheartening. The post simply had to do with the current delay/situation because of an immense downpour the night before. People were discrediting TPR members when they said they rode it yesterday (Saturday) - implying that they were liars. Plus, people were dragging TPR members into the mix.. I just don't get it. Some of the stuff that was brought up - wow. GROW UP people!!!
  13. That is some great news! How about apocalypse?
  14. The Flowrider looks awesome. Regardless of what the instructor looks like, I'd do all sorts of crazy stuff on that thing. For the poll, it's got to be option 2 - because it applies to both beer, and, well, certain people who drink said beer. Great pictures as usual! I've got to say, I don't know how it is on the ship, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Johnny Rockets meal I had at SFMM.. it was quite delicious.
  15. ^ & ^^ And: To the best of my knowledge WCB is a seperate ticket event --- kinda like Haunt. Even if you have a pass you have to pay for a ticket, so I don't believe you can apply your WCB admission price to a season pass. **edit** I went through the entire FAQ's on the WCB flyer and the very last question says that the parks have allowed it in the past but have not confirmed for this year. So good luck hope it works out!** I am now deciding if I should take my Xtreme Pass email to the park on those days instead of going to WCB and save myself $50. The ERT on S:EFK was what I was looking forward to most, and if I get to get my fix a whole month earlier I just might do it. BTW, has anyone seen the right side of S:EFK running with the backwards car? I haven't heard anything, and I'm assuming if they're now letting riders on everything must be going smoothly. I figure it's worth a shot, even to save $15. The price of WCB is quite a bargain.. so even having to pay for my 2011 pass out-of-pocket is fine by me. But still, since my hours at work have been cut, every little bit helps.
  16. QFT.. I don't have my 2011 pass yet because I'm applying part of my WCB ticket toward the price (this was discussed in the WCB thread, right? Or did I interpret that wrong?). Either way, I'm getting a pass while I'm there for WCB. But yeah.. Based on the FB post, I'm guessing it's going to be packed - it does say first come, first served. And anyone can be a SFMM FB friend - it just takes a print-out that can be passed out to many other people. As someone else said, I'll enjoy the ride with other enthusiasts.. not the GP.
  17. Based on what I've been reading on here and on SFMM's FB page, yes. *crosses fingers...
  18. Absolutely incredible! TPR has enticed me to visit a multitude of theme parks, but now I'm thinking about going on a cruise someday - they look awesome! Thanks for posting all of these photos and captions!
  19. Ok, that's EXACTLY what I'm getting on my end - good to know it's not just my computers. Again.. I'm in no rush to get this issue resolved - I'd much rather enjoy the cruise photos!
  20. Thanks so much for this offer - such a deal! I'm guessing it's my computer(s), but I cannot get mine to download.. I've tried on a Vista laptop with Firefox and IE - no luck. So I downloaded VLC and DivX - no luck - they load into the download window on firebox, but when I 'open' them, I get quicktime error messages - the same applies for Windows media player and DivX - it says the files cannot be opened. I just tried opening CE Vol. 13 on a Mac and i've already used my allotted attempts. So then I tried CE vol. 10 on the Mac - no luck.. Anyone else getting the Quick Time 2048 message? Is there a secret to downloading MP4s that I am unaware of? No rush in getting this resolved as I know you're on a cruise - I'm just posting this while I have a chance. Thanks again! And thanks in advance for any help offered!
  21. What a thorough report - I truly enjoyed it! I've been considering a WDW trip for some time as I have only been to the Disneyland 'Resort' Thanks for the great photos and descriptions!
  22. I will definitely miss seeing/hearing your rantings - all of your observances regarding the general public had truth behind them. With that said, I totally understand - I feel the same way about 'friends' tagging me in inappropriate pictures, or making offensive/ruthless comments on my wall - which is why I will not add my own brother to my friends list on FB - he doesn't agree with a lot of things I say and makes that obvious through comments or wall postings.
  23. Wow! Those parks are both awesome and eerie at the same time! I don't know how you all had the guts to ride those coasters.. Great TR! I look forward to seeing pictures of the Burj Dubai! By chance did you take note of the menus at the 'American' businesses (KFC, Starbucks, etc.)? I was just wondering how the offerings differ because of the cultural dissimilarities..
  24. ^ In the few dozen times I've been to SFMM, I've seen one show in that 'arena/theater' - A motorcross exhibit where riders were doing loops on dirt bikes in a metal ball/cage - I have a video somewhere. Otherwise, add me to the list of those who avoid shows - I saw Fantasmic! for the first time just last year - after going to Disneyland for most of my life. EDIT: Here is a clip from the stunt show in that theater. (I'll forewarn you - it's loud at times, and kind of annoying ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JllbP5N0jhA
  25. Awesome! I've had so many opportunities to go to Sea World SD with my sister and nephew, but have declined because of the lack of coasters - I went there once in middle school and have not back since. With this addition, I'll definitely head down there! On a similar note - my sister/nephew visit SWSD a lot - perhaps I can ask her to take some construction photos once they break ground.
