I'm about to take a trip and we already have Darien Lake and Seabreeze planned to visit in about 2 weeks, I was wondering how good of a ride Silver Comet is and if its worth a visit while in the area and any other notable attractions?

Magnum is by far the capacity monster of the park, the ride always barely have a 15min wait on some of the busiest days. Magnum's crew has always been top notch compared to others. Raptor could theoretically be as good but unfortunately it has trains stacked constantly, sometimes 2 train stacked. Another reason I doubt the flying coaster is because of Mantis. It demonstrates how long a gimmick coaster takes to load with a difficult seat to get in and out of. If Mantis had a third train running it would be stacked constantly. I also do not understand why Blue Streak always has a stacked train, its usually the worst. Also Wicked Twister's crew gets trains sent out quickly, same with Maverick and Millennium does pretty well except they have to wait for the train to clear the last overbank before dispatching the train.

I can see Cedar Point installing a ZacSpin eventually, I don't think it is in the close future however. If Cedar Point were to get one I bet it would be a very large custom design one with the the possibility of having more then one car per train.

I know for sure Lesourdsville Lake/Americana Amusement Park was supposed to get a new wooden coaster in the late 80's or early 90's that eventually ended up as Thunder Run at Kentucky Kingdom. Who knows what that coaster could've done at that park...

As incredibly tragic this event is the girls in the second youtube video really made me mad. They made ROS's restraints sound incredibly unsafe and flimsy when really they are perfectly safe like all Intamin rides. I feel that all parties are responding well but everyone knows why this tragic accident happened and I feel that Darien Lake is getting an incredibly bad deal out of this and especially ROS, arguably the best roller coaster in New York.

Maverick and Cheetah Hunt are two incredibly different ride experiences. Cheetah Hunt was designed to be a much less intense ride then Maverick and also does not have the same QDC's as Maverick, I agree with the soft restraints completely and I would love to see them on it. However I love Maverick as it is and still provides the wildest ride in the park today.

If Cedar Point were to add a Dive Machine it would have to be a very impressive one with a much longer layout then Sheikra and Griffon because Cedar Point has already marketed 90degree plus drops with Maverick. A 90 degree drop from a Dive Machine wouldn't have the same affect as it would on other parks, which is why it would need something else unique and exclusive to only Cedar Point,

I'm so excited to see a B&M come to Cedar Point if this is true. I love Intamin and they are my favorite manufacturer but a nice reliable Beemer would be great and a great change from recent additions. I personally want a large floorless coaster, being very inversion heavy.

I completely agree on the Beast at night, and its a shame Vortex wasn't working. Vortex is actually one of my favorite rides there and that says alot about an Arrow looper. I'm going in August to compare the Windseekers at CP and KI!

Did anyone go during July 4th weekend? I went on the actual 4th to be greeted by a full parking lot. Yet the operations were great in my opinion, every ride had minimal waits, even Millennium Force was down to 30min around park closing. Seeing how Magnum, Gemini, and Wicked Twister all had station waits I was very impressed. Same with today, there were some issues with Millennium at closing with trains but they fixed it and all of the rides were running very well and waits went by pretty quickly for a very crowded day.

If Cedar Point gets the dinosaur attraction I will be very upset, it feels as if Cedar Point is falling behind in the amusement park industry. Many new parks are adding brand new attractions and we haven't gotten a new unique thrill ride since Maverick. We received a starlight experience, a challenge park ride, a kids area, a mechanical nightmare of a flume ride and a cloned Windseeker. They need something new and innovative again before they really start falling off track.

At the park right now, Wildcat is officially back open.

I actually didn't find opening day that bad. I had an enjoyable time time yesterday the longest line I waited in was 30min for Raptor. Yea there were some rides closed but I do not blame them with the weather. There was a constant threat of weather yesterday where it could rain any minute. The rides that were open had good operations in my opinion. I considered it like any opening day, it's expected for a park not to open without kinks, especially after this offseason I thought it was an "ok" day.

I went to the park today : Magnum was running incredibly well, insane airtime on nearly every hill. Mantis was flying as well, it was hard to believe how fast the first half of the ride goes now. Disaster Transport's already nonexistant theming is now completely dark. Windseeker looks very impressive in its new location. Blue Streak's trains got a complete rehab with new paint, seats, lap bars, and even the floor of the trains were now, it was running very well. Biggest improvement is without a doubt the Ocean Motion retheme, it looks great and I could not be happier with it. Chaos is now the third three point shootout area unfortunately and there were some odd circles in frontier trail by Thunder Canyon, I dont think that means anything but there were markings. Sierra Sidewinder (Knott's Berry Farm) Yes, these are not the greatest coasters in the world, but I like all of them and if I were to create an amusement park it would be with these coasters. They all are diverse and are perfect for everyone. =]

Dorney is removing the Zamperla Dragon Coaster. The coaster is being moved to Valleyfair. I honestly don't know why Cedar Fair is saving this very common unremarkable coaster but who knows, maybe it'll get rethemed for Planet Snoopy at Valleyfair. http://www.rcdb.com/9837.htm

I know I read that for either 2012 or 2013 that they are supposed to be expanding with a new area that has a starflyer and B&M invert.

I'm guessing it'll be the first American Dive Machine. The clue gives it away for me, and I'm guessing with the time period I'm feeling a Goliath name.

I absolutely love the park, I highly suggest finishing. I love the Kennywood feel of it, the megalite looks outstanding, and it is incredibly realistic, great work!

Canobie Lake Park has announced "Untamed" for 2011, if you're a fan of Ride Entertainment Group on facebook they posted a picture of the banner that says "Coming in 2011... Untamed" In the background there is a clear shot of a Eurofighter type lifthill. Looks like a great addition for that park, good name, theme and layout!

Your park is looking great, everything flows and keep up the good work! One thing though is that you're timeline is off, S&S shot and drop towers were not created until the mid to late 1990's, same with Vekoma mine trains in the early 1990's , and modern shoot the chute rides like aquatica falls. Still great park though, just try to follow the time line a little closer.

I love your style of building parks! It seems like its the type of building RCT2 was created for, bright, colorful, full, and just fun looking parks! Keep up the great work!

Also the 4D coaster now because of Gardaland, but I like the ride there.
