  1. Pirates 3, although didn't make it to the biggest opening weekend ever, finally broke the record for Memorial Weekend. It pays back on Monday woth staggering $27 million, big enough to set its opening weekend much bigger than its 3-days. Meanwhile overseas, the movie made $245 million, just like Spidey 3. Now what we can see is that if this movie is gonna drop fast like Spidey 3 or stay long like Titanic. So, "The Season of 3" almost end. Let's begin to talk about other summer movies. Which one do you think will be the biggest amongst Transformers, Fantastic Four 2, Harry Potter 5 and much much more? Let's the second part begin!
  2. The Last Kiss 6/10 OMG, graphic sex scenes. I don't expect that. It's quite nice, until my mom came to watch too and the scene came and I was like, "Uh-oh..."
  3. Yes. Primeval Whirl. It sucks Do you think Shrek 3 is better than Shrek 2?
  4. Looks like Pirates 3 has lost its audiences. In its first weekend, the movie doesn't impress as much as the previous one. It only makes $112,547,000 in estimation. But still this number is yet very controversial because it has been reported that the tickets for the whole country were sold out. People were confused. Currently, Pirates is the weakest amongst the three. Although it doesn't break record, can it keep going like Shrek 2 did in 2004? Grossing more than $440m? Meanwhile, Shrek the Third plunged drastically into $51,042,000. Compared to Shrek 2 which had $70m-mark second weekend, Shrek 3 won't out-gross the movie. Spider-Man 3 even dove sharper. It fell to $13,700,000. With this condition, Spider-Man 3 will sure have a maximum gross around $350,000,000 domestically, way far behind the first movie, But another highlight from this weekend is Paprika, the newest anime from Satoshi Kon. Debuted only in limited 2 screens, it made an astounding $36,000. Averaging $18,000 per screen. If the estimation is true, the movie will be on par with 2004's Howl's Moving Castle.
  5. Breaking the record for the widest release ever, Pirates 3 has been anticipated as another record-breaker this year. Unfortunately... not even close from the record. Although it has a massive opening day on Thursday, the movie grossed much less than Pirates 2 on the second day. With only an estimated $43 million, it was way far from the record, not even close from its predecessor, which was more than $55 million on the same day. But as the holiday goes, who knows what will happen in Saturday and Sunday? Will it gonna increase or decrease? Meanwhile, in the foreign box office, Pirates 3 added $43.2 million to the international gross. Still, it's also way behind Spider-Man 3, but can be considered spectacular.
  6. Pirates 3 has taken the crown since Thursday. With an estimated of $17 million, it sure is a big number for a sneak peek. Now, will the movie sets a new record which was previously held by Spider-Man 3 weeks ago? Not only in USA. Worldwide, Pirates 3 made $58 million only in its first day which is May 24. So, is this gonna be the largest debut worldwide? Beating the record that's also held by Spider-Man 3 for only 3 weeks?
  7. The Girl in Byakkoya - Paprika
  8. No. Do you think Pirates 3 will gross more than Pirates 2 worldwide?
  9. Shrek 3 7/10 It's very funny yes, I must say. But their jokes aren't the same anymore like the first 2 movies. They were much funnier (extremely). The story is also lacks of memorable moments like the Shrek and Shrek 2. And the idea of getting the princesses gone medieval, well... is a bit weird. But very funny though.
  10. For the burgers, I like Burger King much better. In Singapore, McDonalds doesn't have that much burger and their burgers (here) are very small compared to the Burger King. Plus BK is cheaper. S$6.90 and you already get a burger, one large drink and one large french fries.
  11. The report for the estimation of first weekend of Shrek 3 is out. It was estimated that the income for the first weekend was $122 million, which for sure knocked Spider-Man 3 out of the crown. Does it mean Shrek 3 will gross even more than Shrek 2 in USA and also ready to break a $1 billion mark around the world? Spider-Man 3 still runs its popularity in second place. But with only $28.5 million on its third weekend, it seemed there's no way it will catch up with the movie Pirates 2, which also set record for one of the biggest domestic box office ever. Other than these 2 movies, it seemed they all just went drastically down, excluding Disturbia which was again only had 25% fall. So, the topic right now... Will Shrek 3 unexpectedly keep its crown next weekend? Or Pirates 3 will break another record that has been held by Spider-Man 3 for only 3 weeks? Can you predict? If it goes like this, sure this year we have a chance to have the biggest year for film industry in recent decades. With Pirates 3 coming next weekend? Isn't it nice if there are 3 movies with opening weekend more than $100 million?
  12. While Shrek 3 gets more attention this wekeend, the critics mostly said that the movie has lost its magic from the 2 orevious movies which can be disappointing for its fans. How about Pirates of the Caribbean 3? Most critics said, this movie is absolutely better than the second one, but unfortunately, it lacks of humor like the preious 2 movies. Will it be as success as the second one or flopped?
  13. Good day here and I have my tickets all confirmed and the hotels too and the theme parks too and everything. Time to credit whoring this June!
  14. Yes, at least still better than Paris Hilton. Do you think 28 Weeks Later is good?
  15. Kiki's Delivery Service 7/10 Nice cartoon! Although the story is weak. Not as good as Hauru or Spirit.
  16. Yes. Do you find the Spider-Man 3 disappointing?
  17. It seemed blockbuster tradition also strike the Spider-Man 3. Spider-Man 3 decreased by more than 60% to about $58 million in USA. Overseas, Spider-Man 3 also tumbles 62% into a "still-whopping" $85.4 million. The total box office for the movie right now worldwide is $621.7 million, a very excellent achievement in 2 weeks. With Shrek 3 coming next weekend what will happen to Spider-Man 3? Will it decreased even more drastically or stay still fighting with Shrek 3? 28 Weeks Later debuted with an estimated $10 million. Not as impressive as the predecessor, 28 Days Later, which opened at the same amount at the half amount of the theater. All infos are taken from www.boxofficemojo.com
  18. Unfortunately, Spider-Man 3's ticket sales slowed down during the weekdays, made the film being left behind by the last record holder, Pirates 2 by more than 15 million dollars. Now can Spidey 3 makes a hitback during the weekend? Or will it go down drastically because of 28 Weeks Later?
  19. In order to celebrate Tokyo DisneySea's 10th anniversary, the park said they will open the flying simulator attraction Soarin' in Mediterranean Harbor. Of course since it's located in Japan, they'll have to think a way so they can connect it with Japanese. But don't get excited very much because Soarin' is only one of the choices they'll consider for the birthday. It seemed, Tokyo Disney Resort doesn't stop growing. It was said that there's a possibility they'll build a new park but it's not located in the resort. It's in Southern Honshu. Anyone knows more about this? All infos are taken from www.screamscape.com
  20. Being a huge success, Spider-Man will have 3 more sequels. Do you think it will be better in story or they just keep raising the budget for CGI?
  21. It's official that Eric and Danielle are the official winner. See the website!
  22. The Light Before We Land - The Delgados aka opening theme for Gunslinger Girl.
  23. Not a concert, but I watched Phantom of the Opera in Singapore. It was simply the most amazing show I've ever seen. Not even Fantasmic can beat this play! 9.5/10 (with 0.5 lost because of my POV which is from Level 4).
