If I was staying in Williamsburg, I'd stay in the main Richmond Road area so you at least have something to eat, shop, etc. Right near the park is kind of barren.

China has a brand new rides safety government organization. They are learning and taking time to make sure rides are actually safe and they understand what these rides do, how they should be run, and how they should be maintained. Having personally visited several unsafe rides and parks in the country, I say give them all the time they need!!!!

Age restrictions on rides?
SharkTums replied to andre8's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Japan has min and max age restrictions on rides. If Japan is doing it, there must be a very good reason, cause they're awesome. Last year KT learned to recognize when the ride ops were asking how old she was and she learned how to respond to them all in Japanese! -
We knew about this 'Enthusiast Day' long ago, we chose not to be part of it and to do our own event, exclusive, for our own members. It's basically the same event as ours, but marketed to the General Public and that other group. Trust me, it will not have the same 'feel' as WCB. If they want to treat this other random assortment of people better, it will just show all of us what the park is really thinking and we can focus more on other parks next year. Again, should I bring up the Knott's day? I have two gut feelings about this 'Enthusiast Day': 1. No one shows up, the park learns it's lesson and this event either doesn't exist next year or they tone it WAY down. 2. They market it enough so that tons of GP show up and it's not really a true 'enthusiast day'. Either way, WCB lives on!

^That's the second busiest spring break week, so it could have at least been worse! The park does sometimes offer single rider queues, but they're very often not sign posted or randomly not open. Try to ask an employee either out front or by the exit before boarding. I believe they use them on Riddlers and Green Lantern right now. I would see how you do at the park before deciding on a Flash Pass. The problem with Spring Break at the park is a lot of times the park can get a little busy. Not summer busy, but the park isn't in full summer operation mode yet which then leads to longer lines for everything due to lack of staffing. You should not have any shred of hope that Superman will be open in early April.

Not too bad. I'd say an 'average' day at the Magic Kingdom. The things normally that have long lines (Peter Pan, Pooh, etc.) were all under an hour and the bigger rides that normally do well are all at 15-30 minutes. Walk on rides are still walk ons, that's another way to tell if it's super crowded or not.

Very interesting, please keep us posted. Humans are remarkable creatures, they can really do lots of odd things, some of which result in death. -

Can't be that amazing of a food truck festival as there's a big one that same night in Apopka. -
^^I gotta be honest here. I see a ton of people (mostly Disney geeks...and most of those Disneyland geeks) bitching about the removal of Snow White for a character meet and greet. I spent a TON of time in Fantasyland at Disneyland last weekend and quite a bit of time at the one here in WDW. It's always a much shorter wait/line for the rides than the Meet & Greets. My daughter, and most young girls at the park, would much prefer some face to face time with Snow White, rather than riding a terrible ride where you see her twice (once dead!) Park enthusiasts may mourn the loss of a dark ride, but let's be honest with ourselves and see that they're just not as popular with the people that are spending the most time at the park.
