^No no. I know that. I'm talking about the scenario where you have to build a park in SFMM from scratch. -

Any suggestions for beating the Build Your Own SFMM scenario? This is the only scenario I've yet to ever beat. I've tried multiple strategies, minimizing and maximizing the loan but I can't ever seem to get past a park value of $600K before the whole park goes in the tank. I've noticed building the Six Flags branded rides helps a bit more but after about Year 4 park's rating falls and I can't attract new guests even with marketing campaigns. Thoughts? -
^Correct. That's all I can say about that. In other SFA news, the park has written a unique Holiday greeting while the management offices are closed for the Holidays. If you're a fan of "Twas the Night Before Christmas", you'll appreciate this. Call the park's main number to hear the special holiday message (301.249.1500)

^I dont think you were even alive when he got arrested...

^If the rumors hold true, SFA is going to have to refurb a lot of those rides, again, as they have distinctive TT characteristics to them. I think it's blantantly obvious where SFA's 2011 capital budget is going. Anyone wonder why they haven't announced anything new for the park in 2011 while the nearly everyone else in the chain has? This SFAFanboy isn't upset about getting shafted anymore. I'm use to it by now.

Agreed. I still think TPR personals would be an awesome idea! Thank you! I've really been blessed in that I really had two of the best Fairy God Parents any gay boy could ever want. They taught me to be more tolerant of others especially those within the GLBTQ community. Nearly twelve years later, I still kind of feel that is one of the primary reasons the gays can't get anything accomplished in this country. We're too busy slamming one another instead of uniting as one to fight for the same cause, equality, while our opponents have no issue rallying together to deny us just that. Here is a little bit about my Fairy God Parents. My Fairy God Father was a gay rights activist pioneer in the 1960's who eventually became one of the leaders in the Leather community in the 1970's and 1980's. He passed away last year from complications with AIDS. He was diagnosed back in the early 1980's with HIV and somehow, some way managed to survive until his death last year. Larry was my second father. My Fairy God Mother, who is to this day my bff, is a very well known drag queen in Washington DC. He is the founder of the Youth Pride Aliance which at the time that the Alliance was created in 1997 was the first of it's kind. Youth Pride Alliance puts on a Youth-oriented gay pride day every Spring. He currently works as the Executive Director for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Affairs for the sitting Mayor of Washington DC. I learned very early in my gay days that surrounding myself with good people is one of the keys to living a good life. The three of us made a great team for a number of years putting on Capital Pride together in DC. And no, my two Fairy God Parents never were bf/bf.

Being a lifelong Baltimore Orioles fan (yes, we exist) and a former resident in Fort Lauderdale, I'm kind of outraged towards the FAA because their reasoning for not taking the O's for another fifteen year contract was that they wanted to tear down the baseball stadium to build a new runway. Since leaving FLL in 2007, FLL is my home away from home. Kind of sad that I get down there often and I can't see my O's in the late winter months. For Schlitterbahn, I think this is a great location. Conviently located right off I-95, not too far from the Florida Turnpike, and have a very large market to draw from between West Palm, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. I could easily see families traveling from the north a couple of hours south to do something different than the Disney/Universal/BGT thing.

Not at all. I'm actually really attracted to fem guys. Most people don't look at me and think "gay" when they see me. Don't get me wrong, I have my gurrrrl moments but usually not unless I'm around close friends. I try to be open-minded and respect everyone despite our differences. I accept everyone. Even gun toting conservatives and trannies.

^Yeah, Friday's use to be rough for me.

Negative. I'm not one of those homos. No Gaga for me. No thanks.

Georgie's Alibi Wilton Manors (Fort Lauderdale), $3 22 oz. Long Island Ice Tea Night, every Thursday night. Place I want to go most: Southern CA and hit all the parks!

I finally added an avatar just a few moments ago. My avatar goes along with my screen name. I am a Graduate from Jim Evan's Academy of Professional Umpiring, class of 1999. I have a Major League Baseball Umpiring Certification. While I'm no longer umpiring in Professional Baseball (Minor Leagues to Major Leagues), I'm still very proud of the accomplishment.

You mean a light show like "Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular"? Yea, I guess. I was paraphrasing. I dont pay attention to fireworks shows and that kind of stuff. LOL At the Bert the Conqueror taping, while we were all waiting for the taping to start, some of the park execs came in to say hello to the enthusiasts there. A comment was made that KD would be receiving "something" small for 2011 but nothing to get too excited about. An official announcement would be coming between the end of the season and the Christmas holiday. Turns out we don't have to wait. -

The Cedar Fair Q3 report mentioned something to the effect that KD will be getting a fireworks show comparible to Carowinds. -

For purely selfish reasons, I like the Comet Halley theme if that remains the case. Afterall, my last name is Halley and having a coaster share my surname would be wickedly awesome! -

^Standing on the center platform which is the exit for both sides, I rode the left side, which becomes the right side going up the lift hills. -

Brief TR from last night: Went to the private event at KD last night for Brother Help Thyself which also happens to be Gay Night. This would also be my first night rides on the KD coasters in about ten years. This was my first trip to KD since the second weekend I305 was open. Volcano: First rides of the night. Rode multiple times and they even allowed re-rides. We didn't have to get off in the exit area and reboard. They let us stay on after everyone else got off and we stayed on while they moved the train up. Nothing special I guess but I got a kick out of it. First launched seemed slower, second launch seemed more powerful from what I remember. Just all round great ride. I was wearing dark sunglasses to help enhance the ride experience at night and to keep rain/bugs out of my eyes. I305- first rides with the soft strap and brakes. I won't beat this one to death as everybody else already has. I liked the soft strap and feel the new restraint makes I305 re-rideable. I rode I305 15 times on Media Day and I was very sore the following days. I could've re-ridden I305 for the rest of the night but my friend didn't want to. Two rides, one in the front, one in the back. Trim was definitely noticable, ruined air on second hill and killed the speed. Rest of the coaster was still amazing though. I've only been on 170 coasters and for me I305 is now a sub-Top 10 coaster whereas it was definitely a Top 10 coaster pre-trim. Anaconda- I didn't get stapled so I had plenty of room to manuever myself in the restraint to prevent getting neck chopped. I don't recall coming to a full stop on the MCBR but it helped with the latter part of the ride. Backlot Stunt Coaster- good fun family ride. Special effects were turned off which was ok by me. Rebel Yell- ejector air in the back seat coming off the lift of the first drop. Rest of the ride was not pleasant. Too much shuffling, very shaky. RY was running great back in April, what happened over the course of the season? Hurler- I didn't notice any of the "TLC" this coaster allegedly received in the off-season. KD's Hurler is still in my opinion the worst wooden coaster on the planet. Scrap it and sell it as firewood. I didn't Hurl when I came off the coaster but I thought I was going to need a chiropractor. Grizzly- first two rides were in the backseat and I was the only rider on the coaster. Pure heaven. While Grizzly is no Voyage, this coaster will always be special to me as it was my first adult coaster when I was seven. Like RY, ejector air in the back coming off the lift. First turnaround was painfully slow, the dip into the tunnel and the tunnel itself was INSANE. The racing back to the second turnaround felt a lot faster than previously? Maybe that's the darkness differential? Lower turnaround pulled decent laterals. Last ride was in the front, good ride, felt more shaky than the back but my love is for the back on this ride. Side note- Now that Hypersonic is gone, I think the setting is back even with the missing trees. The thing that kills Grizzly even with sunglasses on is the spotlights on the top of the Eiffel Tower. Dominator- rode six times, always fun ride, surprised how smooth this coaster is despite it's age. Total attendace for the event was 2500. Rides were open from 8pm to 11pm and there was a dance party from 11pm to 1am under the Eiffel Tower. Everything was virtually a walk on. Very few places to get something to eat or drink which I assume is because of the low attendance. Ran into a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time. This was my first Gay Day in about seven years. All rides were open except what rides were in Planet Snoopy including Boo Blasters. I've never seen Americana lit up before and it looked really nice. Added to the overall park atmosphere. KD already had the evil red eyes up on the Eiffel Tower like they did last year. No other noticable signs of the Haunt were in place yet. -

Drink out of it? Oh heck no! I'd be scared someone would drop a roofie in my drink! That would be A LOT worse... -
I've smoked hookah and salvia and I'll prefer to stay with my cigars and other herbal remedies type smokes.
