  1. ^I understand! I don't get offended too easily, it's not a big deal. And the information will always be here as long as it's available. ^^Good point, Elissa. Everything at that park catches on fire, anyway, no need to overwork the dinosaurs.
  2. I shall resist! On a side note, I'm still pretty bummed about Paddlewheel. Maybe they can get some of the dinosaurs to tell corny jokes to fill in the void.
  3. I'm 3 for 3 now with DA at CP, the fast pass at KI, and the Leviathan ride name at CW. Anyone still wanna doubt???
  4. My thoughts exactly. And you get just a touch of g-force to make it a little interesting. The ride I had around sunset was spectacular (not to mention the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey was playing, epic!).
  5. Just about every modern B&M has trims that grab, not just CF ones.
  6. ^^I'm guessing the 180' hill with a 75 mph entrance speed will have OMFG airtime. Unless the trim grabs hard. Bleh.
  7. ^^Of course, haven't you ever read any of my posts?
  8. ^It's a good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I first saw them. I would have had my beverage all over my computer screen.
  9. If I had to speculate, they probably want to tell people about Paddlewheel closing so they can get their last rides in before the season ends. As long as they have a coupon day.
  10. ^Vekoma. These cookies make your internal organs bleed and give you a splitting headache within 4 seconds of ingesting them.
  11. Dinosaurs are way cooler than biblical sea monsters.
  12. So I guess this is the equivalent of the vibrating footsteps of the t-rex in Jurassic Park, literally and figuratively. ^
  13. Ok, for the record, I did NOT poop my pants. However, my stomach did not react well to my New Hampshire $5 footlong buffalo chicken sub and I had to Skyrush to the water closet before I Leviathaned in my shorts. I just included coaster names so this topic would stay on topic.
  14. Bus ride to Montreal must have been a 500-foot coaster.
  15. ^It's definitely not as bad as a lot of people think it is, but the image was tarnished so badly in the past, it's extremely difficult to change everyone's minds. I can be honest and say that the one year I was there, it did have some of the clientele issues that people associate with the park, but nowhere near as bad as anyone makes it out to be. I would say SFOG's clientele were FAR worse the times I went there.
  16. I forgot to mention how friendly everyone was, it was amazing! Every single ride op and employee was smiling and interacting with the guests in a positive manner. Outside of Holiday World, I've never seen that anywhere. So once again, that ties into the "Holiday World Lite" moniker I have for the park.
  17. Not to keep coming back to this, but I honestly don't think the average park goer will notice the similarities between the two rides, other than they are big and go fast. Sure, the more intuitive ones may catch on, but just your normal Joe the Plumber shouldn't. Of all the people that go to parks with multiple B&Ms, how many of them do you think notice that they all have the same track type? My guess is not many. We enthusiasts sorta take this for granted sometimes, but it probably won't register with many people outside enthusiasts.
  18. I like this idea. Rename it to "Bizarre," since they can't use the Bizarro name. Kinda like the creativity they used when it was shortened to just Ride of Steel.
  19. I just hope a company will purchase the park and continue trying to improve its image and quality. AFE got it started in the right direction, it just has to stay that way because the park needs plenty of TLC.
  20. The boarding cards are a bit strange, did they say that was going to be permanent? I also worry about people placing lighter items like hats directly under the ride. Big drop towers create a lot of downward/outward wind and it could blow stuff all over the place. But I guess as long as the stuff stayed within the ride area, it wouldn't matter. Just glad to see it's finally up and running.
  21. Canobie Lake was a two thumbs up awesome park. It was almost kinda like Holiday World "Lite," just without the awesome coasters. If I lived anywhere near there, I would be a regular. And there were trees everywhere!!!!!
