  1. Rampage shatters bones, Its pothole wrecked limb and spine, But DAMN it's so good!
  2. If only I had photoshop skills, Dickie K would be a Wal Mart greeter.
  3. I still have people who I work with that have season passes to the park that SWEAR Teminator and Psyclone are the same ride but with new trains, fire, and audio. They told me "It's the same thing they did with X." I even showed them the pictures of Psyclone being ripped apart, but they still think it's the same damn ride! --Robb When I worked at RipCord at Cedar Point, I had a father walk by with his children, point to Gemini, and say, "Oh look kids, that coaster (points to Gemini) is part of that coaster over there (points at Mean Streak)."
  4. That's a really short ride, I don't think it was worth the price tag. But that's just me.
  5. ^Ahhhh ok. That makes sense. Never ridden one, and probably wouldn't be able to.
  6. ^It's a wonder they don't make it so taller people can sit on the ends of the board where that division wouldn't be a danger to them. Sorta like the double seatbelt seats on some B&M's.
  7. To be completely and entirely honest, I myself have broken height restriction rules by riding rides when I was too tall (I'm 6'5). The ride ops never stopped me, so I just rode. Had they said something, I wouldn't have put up a fight, but they didn't, so go me! I actually have 3 or 4 more credits than I should because I did this.
  8. Very interested to see what kind of discounts are available. With a very busy park lineup for me this year, it might come in handy!
  9. ^ My friend, learn the rules Of syllables in Haiku Cause you look silly.
  10. ^In four years, I've been fired by guests about 30 times. It's a common occurance for them to threaten your job. But what they don't understand is that we're more than likely going to get complimented for turning them down, not fired.
  11. Somehow this still doesn't appease parents. We tell them the manufacturer sets the guidelines and that if we were caught letting someone ride who wasn't inthose guidelines we would be heavily fined. And yet, they still don't listen. Some parents are just looking to raise hell for a free ticket. It's sad.
  12. I'm polite with parents like that until they get belligerent. That's when I pull out the "children who are too short for rides like this could DIE if they ride" line. If that doesn't get their attention, I take out a tack hammer and smash their heads in. Ok, I made that last part up.
  13. New at Six Flags Magic Mountain in 2010, it's DIRT: The Coaster!
  14. Togo coasters are A chiropractor's delight Take your pain killers!
  15. ^Two people, one being a young kid, were injured on camera and the story made national news. That's why. They have to take every precaution before opening back up regardless, but now they REALLY have to mind their P's and Q's before reopening Xcelerator, otherwise they'll be in some deep doo-doo.
  16. ^Still gotta wait on the report from the state and the inspection to clear it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but bracing myself for the bad news.
  17. I went there on a weekday at the very end of August last year and got a regular Flash Pass. The lines really weren't terrible at all, I think the longest I ever saw was 30-40 minutes, but we used the Passes anyway. We were able to get several re-rides on El Toro and other coasters without much trouble, and got every credit. The only credit we almost missed was the Mine Train because it was down for mechanical reasons for most of the day, but we got it prior to leaving. However, I did go in early July in 2005 and it was packed.
  18. Oh, you aren't getting hired back. Didn't you get the memo?
  19. ^Very well put. A park is never truly "out of space." Remember there are some very smart people that plan these rides out. Just because the layman coaster geek can't spot a good place to squeeze in a new ride doesn't mean there isn't one.
  20. Year five of park work, second as a rides supervisor at Alabama Adventure!
  21. ^Well that's fantastic news! Too bad I already took my Texas trip this past year and probably won't be back any time in the near future.
  22. ^To answer your question, you should get a confirmation e-mail eventually. I paid and signed up a few days after registration opened but didn't get an e-mail till today, so it may take some time for you to get it.
  23. ^That could be one of the worst Top 10 lists I've ever seen in my life. No, actually, it IS the worst Top 10 list I've ever seen in my life.
  24. After a 2nd look, I have a problem with the cards. That element shown by the track on the main portion of the card is not an element that is on any coaster on Earth. It's not realistic, I want my money back!
