  1. Yes, Naboo was awesome, especially in the front row. I actually missed my time for the AP preview I won, but they let me go for the evening preview. I think I rode 6 times before the line got a little long, I still don't think I waited more than maybe 20 mins for a ride. Going back next week, hope to get in as many of the variables as I can before it opens the the GP.
  2. LOL! Dude it's a goose, it doesn't go into labor, but I will keep an eye out for them if I go to the park this week. Hopefully they will soft open RRE, so I can get the credit without the crowds on the weekend.
  3. Bud Hurlbut says euro engineering can kiss his legendary ass!
  4. I been trying to wait to go back to SFMM til Green Lantern opens, but I think I might need to take a trip out there next week for a coaster fix. Although, I'm doing Knott's, Disneyland and Sea World next week too, hope I have the energy.
  5. I think I need to go back to work so I can afford to go to these parks. It looks like way too much fun.
  6. ^^Glad you got good pictures, the ride is pretty awesome.
  7. I guess I can hit the soft open too! Got two AP previews next week.
  8. Yeah, let's name it after a character nobody knows. Green Lantern, even without the movie, is one of the better known DC charaters. I'm looking forward to the whole DC universe change, should be really cool. Is it? As an european I don't have the same insight into the american comics market, but I do know Edward E. Nigma, also known as the Riddler... and there seem to be some other major attractions named after him... just saying. No offense. So, you want them to have two coasters named after the Riddler? The GP has no idea who you are talking about when you say Enigma, most of them couldn't even identify Bruce Wayne as Batman.

  10. Now if they can just finish up the station and queues just as fast.
  11. Castle Park in Riverside, California is always good. Plus of course there are three credits, plus some flat's, a log ride and an arcade. Also they are building a new water play area, not sure when that's gonna be done. And, they do run specials on Facebook during the week for miniature golf and arcade. Scandia in Ontario, California is just average for mini golf, but there are two credits, go cart's, flats, and bumper boats, not to mention an arcade, so that might make it worth a trip.
  12. Both me and my wife got picked for the AP preview next week, so we can get a few rides in before the GP mobs it.
  13. Sounds like fun, sent in my app, makes me want to take a trip to Knott's today.
  14. Green Lantern looks awesome, hope they keep working at this pace, seems like it'll be up in no time.
  15. I see a good oportunity for sampling. I mean, I really want to try as much as I can, but don't want to be wasteful. So, if we share, problem solved.
  16. Is there a strategy for hitting these trucks?
  17. Green Lantern looks awesome! I really don't think they are gonna spend the cash to referb Colossus, I mean they just did some retracking and it's pretty damn smooth. Granted they could reprofile it, but I don't think they could do as much as they did with Texas Giant.
  18. Ok, I'm in with the VIP. I figure I can hit SFMM too.
  19. Thinking about the VIP option. I think by then I'll be ready for a break from my diet.
  20. Cool report, I was almost in it, can't remember what happened, but it looks like you guys had a lot of fun anyway. Love the mini manly Robb.
  21. I hope this is what happend, I'd rather see them used for something instead of scrapped. Of course, since they had no plans to ever make it run again, scrapping it would be an option.
  22. You've just identified one of our education problems. When I grew up, field trips to the amusement park was a reward for getting good grades, now, in many parts, it's just expected. You should have a good time at MM, enjoy! The field trips for schools are really kinda crappy. The kids get history lessons and hear about frontier stuff, the blacksmith, stagecoach etc., and then at the end of the trip they get ONE ride on the log ride. They get a few minutes to buy souvenirs and then back on the bus. There are however youth groups that go, in bus loads and pretty much just run wild in the park. [edit] Oh and don't forget independence Hall, that is always exciting for kids.
  23. I'm sure they wanted to finish paint sooner, but with the wacky SoCal weather this year they never had a chance. I mean, I could barely get my lawn mowed due the the random rain.
