One more thing they need for Green Lantern is cubbies for your stuff, I mean every few ride you would hear somebodys cell phone or change rain down on the roof of the station. They were letting you put your stuff on the side while you rode, but when it's your wallet and cell phone you have to leave, I would feel more secure if they was a cubby. It would kinda suck to have to buy a locker for tiny stuff that fits in your pocket. I actually saw two people in the same car lose their phones right as they pulled into the station, one kinda exploded and one fell and randomly turned itself on. So, pretty much I do not recommend riding with anything valuable in your pockets, this ride is extremely forceful and will shake the stuff outta your pockets like a cartoon bully.

The bottom line is that mos of the GP has never picked up a comic book and only knows these characters from tv and movies. The classic characters are what brings in the cash for DC, not the comic book nerd stuff. I have tons of Batman stuff, but have never purchases a Batman comic or cartoon. In any case, the DC Universe is both very detailed for comic book nerds, a lot of references and characters most won't catch and for the superhero fan there are all the classics that everybody recognizes. One comic book hero is kinda hard to see, but he's there.

Canobie Lake Photo TR! Great Day at the Park...
fatdaddy replied to xmichellex's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Awesome report, kinda gave me an idea of the layout of the park. Can't wait to hit Untamed. -
Totally agree, if parks could operate better, there would be less incentive to have to buy fast passes and the like. unfortunate Theme parks have lines, if you can't handle the wait and can't afford a flash pass, either go in the off season or find a new hobby. Seriously, even Disneyland with a free fastpass system and generally good operations still has lines, even lines for fastpass return when the park is busy. And keep in mind for the price of a day at Disney, you could probably afford SFMM with a Flash Pass.

Viper at SFMM, was actually running pretty good. -
Really, getting rid of the bread tour would just be closing the door to the public, I mean they actually make bread and stuff to sell there, it's a functional tour. I would guess that they make a good chunk of change selling those Mickey shaped loafs after people pass through there. I will miss the tortillas, but where I live there's fresh tortilla's being made right at the corner market. Still, I woulda took torts over chocolate, there enough sweets at Disney already.

Being a parent who has taken his kids to SFMM for years, I really would like to see some family rides around the park. It's difficult to hit some of the bigger rides when there is nothing to entertain the kids except jet stream and the scrambler, which gives me the option of getting soaked or dizzy. There are a lot of flats that would fill the need of being family friendly and having a small footprint. On the subject of Metro, I'm glad that the trains found a home. That said, I'm also glad that SFMM finally decided to let it go, I mean I would have loved to see it run again, but it just was not cost effective and that money could probably be spent elsewhere in the park. I really can't see how it could be said that Hershey invested in anything, they spent $100,000, that's nothing, they didn't put in anything new, they just bought some surplus trains. In the end, they got more than their moneys worth and extended the life of their monorail.

Effect of roller coasters on your brain?
fatdaddy replied to orangeblue's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It only destroys the weak brain cells, so pretty much it's making your brain more efficient. The more you ride the smarter your brains am. -
^Knott's has had that cup for over a year. ^^Bert the Conquerer was an awesome guy, I will probably give the show a little more credit knowing what a hilarious guy Bert is. I also, gotta say that Tony Sarigusa was funny as hell, and huge. The shoot was an awesome time, got some rides in and a meal too.
