  1. Good question lol. And the sad part is you barely get wet, unless your in the first 2 seats. I just looked at her like shes a idiot lol.
  2. Do we really need a debate? SOB is the roughest in the world -.-I wish they would get rid of that thing.
  3. yea, it wouldnt really cost that much and it would be good for marketing but it would be weird calling it a different name. Its always been chang since ive been going
  4. Me and my cousin went to holiday world yesterday and was watching pilgrims plunge and when one of the boats went by after the drop one girl yelled out"oh my god im wet!" Pilgrims plunge is the new flume ride at holiday world for those who dont know.
  5. Nice pics cody. I might be going this week and ill try to get a picture of all the rides and everything. The thunder run sign was surprising. I guess they removed it after they put the new fence up around it, which i think looks stupid. One thing about chang is, that its not themed. they just have 1 sign, thats the themeing essentially. And they just repainted the ride less then 4 years ago so i doubt anything will happen with chang other new seats. Maybe a mix of sitdown and stand up seats.
  6. I think they all need a GPS in them so the driver can see where they are all at on the track that are operating near his monorail. A second driver in the back would also help reduce the time it takes for the train to leave the station since some cases the driver has to switch cabs.
  7. ^^ i agree but id still want a person in the cabin incase something does come up and the computer doesnt catch it. Also theyneed to be thre for switing lines to reurn to the shop like what they attempted to do. But they can keep the human operators if the trains got a few basic upgrades: 1. GPS 2. Better and brighter headlights 3. backup camera w/nightvision 4. better rearview mirrors. He even said you cant see out of them. 5. reduce mapo override speed to 10 from 15. if such a crash did occur again, the guy might live if it was going slower. ^He said that back when computers took up 3 full rooms and used vacuum tubes and hardwired switchboards as their processors so if he saw what we had today, he would be astounded. Like i said alot of those upgrades i mentioned would increase safety greatly. And the fact they are all relatively easy to do and cheap (all but the headlights and rear view mirrors probably) is great, i wonder if they will do GPS though. Actually i just had a idea, airplanes have a system that announces when they are so and so feet from the end of the runway, end of taxiway, etc. why not add that to the monorails and have that go off when they get within 20 ft of each other? a bit more expensive but it would make a pretty good difference with safety in my opinion.
  8. Intresting. Though i guess they only intend to refurbish the trains and not get new ones.
  9. I dont think it would matter if it was built in TT's place. As long as its good. Not alot of people liked TT by the way so it wouldnt really matter, and adding to the fact is been been SBNO for 2 seasons. I'm all for the Terminator coaster but i hope we get the theming and etc like SFMM did. If we got all of that man the park would be alive with people lol.
  10. Mile high may never open now. Screamscape reports that they found a big problem on the ride which will cost a ton to fix so they may scrap it instead.
  11. A replica of rupp arena Make some kind of wildcat coaster. Also dont forget we got horse racing, caves, and ft. knox. Just off that i could go on for a few more rides Oh and you cant forget waverly hills sanatorium (which i have the pleasure of living within a mile of -.-). It would make a great dark ride.
  12. While expanding the water park sounds nice and all, it doenst need a expansion. Alot of people go there because its the only placeyou can go swimming and have alot of fun at a waterpark at a cheap price, so Add the rides first then the waterpark mini expansion, not a big one. i do like the gotham city area idea though. In my mind, just fixing, T2, and Thunder run would help bring some people back, and be a stepping stone towards improving. And whoever said to add a few magnetic brakes to Greezed lightnin, that would be pretty expensive since they probably will have to buy new trains aswell. If it was to recieve any kind of upgrades though, i would do this: 1. Replace the weight system with air compressed system, or differnet system thats more modern and less prone to breakdown 2. add magnetic braking 3. Replace the trains. 4. repaint the ride. While it doesnt need much work, number 1, should be done to help reduce wear and tear on the system. My plans for T2. 1. repaint it 2. new trains 3. re-landscape it(its crawling with vines) 4. Theme it to something popular and will stay popular for many years. For thunder run: 1. new trains 2. 100% new track(they did patch-work this year) 3. basic work and any replacements to the wood as necessary. 4. take down all those walls. In the off-season this year, i want at least Mile high to be finished, and get thunder run all that work done, it used to be so popular now its shell of its former self. Heck if they got the money, re-paint T2 while they're at it, and tear off all those vines.
  13. ^ I always use RNC or RNR, just shorter. But RnRC is correct lol. Any one else got any news on the DHS situation?
  14. ^^ thanks for clearing the contract issue up for me, I was fearing it would be removed before i got a chance to go back and ride it. ^ RNC stands for Rock N' Rollercoaster
  15. If it can get all new track, and a new train, it would be in perfect condition. The new train would solve a ton of problems too. A ball coaster would be cool but not for me. But if it brings people to the park then id say to build it, the park needs something, even opening mile high next season would help.
  16. ^ when i was doing my picture for my vision of the nortwest section i actally looked at all the major coaster companys and i did think that seemed intresting, but i didnt find a video of one on youtube. Didnt they have one, on the Scandi trip? I want them to take care of thunder run before they get alot of major things going, its going to kill itself with how it runs now.
  17. ^^ That is what should happen. But they wont do it, why, because they are idiots. The only ones i see happening are, #'s 1, 2(probably paint though) 5, and 7. Oh yea they also got a ton of rides that need to be fixed. Liked: 1. Greezed lightnin - breaks down about once a day, and its probably because of the drop weight lauch system. 2. The ACME ball factory - half the cannons dont work, the buttons are iffy. 3. blizzard river - on the top of the snow capped mountain peaks and on the rocks it self and some other scenery, it looks like rust on them from the water. Thats real appealing. Thunder run - Needs a entire re-track, not the patchwork job they did this year. And to make the thing better, buy new trains. Id prefer the Timberliners from GG, since they dont beat up the track as much as alot of other cars do.(another reason i want new cars is the stupid lap bar. it always smashes into my knee and then that divider smashes my side.) And yes a impulse would just fit perfectly there(dragsters). I doubt the back section of the park will ever see guests again in the near future. If they told the guy above me the truth in a email, that they was just rehabing mile high then id love that. I wouldnt ride it but it would be great for the park. They need to take 1 offseason. just one and focus on thunder run, and finish the rehab on mile high. Next season, reopen mile high, and debut a almost brand new Thunder Run, Then the next offseason, clean up the scenery in Blizzard river, and get greezed lightnin fixed, and maybe add a 3 star flat ride. then after that, fix the ball factory and then you got all your repair work done(except T2) and you can finally focus on getting some new rides. It makes so much sense For T2, id rather see if destroyed, but if we have to keep it, like you said, repaint it, and add the new SLC trains. The only way it will ever be any good.
  18. The East End bridge is needed to connect the Gene Snyder to I-265 in Indiana. It's not so much to make east enders shut up as it is to alleviate traffic through downtown, especially motorists going from I-71 to I-65. It is just as necessary as the Sherman Minton Bridge is to the west end. Its really not. They've been able to manage with just jefferson. All they need to do is just re-do spaghetti junction, thats where alot of your problems come from. Another thing, why build a new bridge if we cant even pay to repair the major bridges we already have? Jefferson - 88 million need, Sherman minton - needs way more. Oh yea and another reason why i think they can help fund some SFKK projects is the fact they are also pushing for museum plaza, and the new UL arena. Both of which are not needed. Freedom hall is fine, outdated yes but its been reliable for along time, just renovate it and there you go. The plaza, sounds great, do we need it, no. We got so much other office space unused we can live without it. If you ask me, the state would be better off without the bridge project, and the city can help (potentially) get some SF projects moving forward.
  19. It seems like that area is used for alot of storage of random rides like that, and old building from the park. Actually that may be that turtle ride they was going to put in where the bumble bees were, and then in the 2007 season, they put up that stage and they was gone, so thats a possibility.
  20. If you can see if that ride pieces i showed u over in that warehouse section is still there. If you want though. Im curious to how good they've kept MHF the past 3 years
  21. They need to do a step b step plan to re-do that back section. next offseason , Refurb/Rehab Mile high, reopen it like they are planning on, and push that fence back behind the exit line During the season/offseason Re-Landscape the main entrance into the Northwest Territory, if the hot air balloon ride is still there, possible rehab it for the time being, push the fence back to the end of it. and start developing a plan to re-do that section, and then so on and so on.
  22. But most rides that we proposed in plans can built 150 ft or less in that space. Besides they can put on the red lights also, and the runway was extended so they have capacity for the new airbuses.
  23. It also sucks, Cedar Point's that is. It would be so much better if the theme was different
  24. ^ They just added something better then almost all the E-tickets at DLR. It was Expedition Everest. The only park that needs a new one is DHS which would be the new star tours. But i wonder what will happen with RNC as the aerosmith contract will be over this month. DHS needs alot of good rides, in my opinion so i see a star tours 2.0 as the first step. AK does also but not on a grand scale as DHS does.
  25. Me either lol. That ride is amazing. put it right where twisted twins was, with a few layout mods to make it fit. I would be in love with the park if it got it
