  1. It was packed up into containers and shipped overseas. That's what I heard. And it makes sense. It's not there anymore.
  2. We are going to BOA this year as representatives for South Carolina. Is anyone else going?
  3. YAY! #13! http://www.rcdb.com/8588.htm
  4. Yes, I had a great time for my first day ever, just my feet hurt SO bad. Forgot to tell you I am a baritone player. Oh, and our show is train themed and it's commissioned just for us. Absolutely brilliant, IMO.
  5. Band Camp starts at 9 a.m. today!! 12 hours; all day long. It's my first year (I'm a freshman), and I'm excited, but super nervous at the same time. Our drum major was selected as the Drum Major for the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.
  6. These footers are most likely for the train shed, right?
  7. ^ How have you made Afterburn your #1 invert outside of Florida, when your avatar and username clearly state your love for Alpengeist?
  8. To add to the Montu vs. Afterburn thing, I was just looking at those Bing maps at the 'birds-eye view' feature (which is totally awesome), and I noticed that besides the direction of the swooping drop (Afterburn = right; Montu = Left), they are ALMOST absolutely identical. The only significant difference is the placement of the MCBR and the extra vertical loop on Montu. I'm sure this has something to do with why they are both very highly rated as inverts.
  9. Isn't SFMM supposed to have it 17th coaster for 2010? Any word on when this will be announced officially?
  10. When the topics were merged, that post I was referring to was pushed back a few pages. Sorry. Looking at it now, it's kind of funny.
  11. I'll be learning to drive in a few months, and I already have my future car. It's my dad's old one... a 1998 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. I think it's worth around $2500 today, and the new stereo system costs more than the car itself. Here's what they look like, except mine's red.
  12. ^ Will there be a new thread for when the announcement comes on the 26th, or are you going to change the name again to the "Official White Lightning Thread"?
  13. ^ So, she'll ride a 90-foot 4 times inverting Arrow, but not the smallest coaster in the park? Weird...
  14. ^ I have to agree. Not being a "fanboy", but almost all the people that have actually ridden Afterburn (not many compared to the other inverts) have it at the top of their list. I think it's very underrated because of it's location.
  15. The World's #34 Steel Coaster.... Afterburn at Carowinds! So... Freakin... Forceful.
  16. In all honesty, I actually REALLY like it. It's not that realistic, but I love the concept. The turns and drops need some smoothing, and the g's should be brought down in some places, but other than that, I think it's great. Good work.
  17. ^ No, I like to do things naturally...
  18. ^ It would be the first in the US, correct?
  19. The new ride has nothing to do with a shuttle loop. It's the theme that the park wants to bring back. It all has to do with moonshine and Nascar. White Lightning = Nickname for Moonshine. It all makes alot of sense.
  20. Well, of course it's not perfect, It's your first NL coaster, but it sure beats the heck outta my first NL creation. I tried to make a Gerstlauer Eurofighter and the first turn after the the drop racked up about 45 lateral G's. Plus, the following loop looked more like a spaghetti bowl than a circle. Seriously.
  21. ^ That, or tallest in the south.
  22. 15/20. I lucked out so much. Half of them were guesses.
  23. Yes, they are the premier themers for Disney! Are we gonna see REAL theming from CF?! NO! It can't be!!
  24. Hmm. How did you find this out? Maybe me? And how did I find out? Well, I don't remember... It was... Pufferfish. He gets the credit.
