What do you mean? Isn't that the woodie where one side runs backwards? I think I count that one as two. --Robb Jeezus Juice got it. I was reffering to the powered mine train in the mountain. I seem to remember you mentioning that you don't count powered coasters.

If you mean like does the arm itself to full flip, then no. Although the ride vehicle itself does swing 360 degrees. The arm will swing to a bit over 180 degrees or so. So basically slightly over half way. Though when riding Delerium at PKI you really do feel like you are fully upside down. -
It's all up to your person tastes. Like how I count Thunder Run at PCW as a credit, but I know Robb doesn't.

The 3 Deja Vu's. -
I actually think Ghostrider. I don't know what it is about that coaster, but it just seems to take my stomach out more then alot of much larger coasters. Like on the west coast trip GR took my stomach out much more then even the larger ones like X,RR,Goliath, etc. Maybe it has somethign to do with the covered drop that makes it feel like I'm about to hit it?

As for flat rildes Sledgehammer - jump2 - over hyped, not too exciting Psyclone - monidal giant frisbee - This one is supposed to be one of the better rides at PCW, but I haven't ridden it yet. Cliffhanger - Mondial splash over(basically a double top spin). Awesome ride, really gets you drenched in the summer. The entire car gets thrown right through a giant water curtain. Shockwave - mondial topscan - Pretty fun ride, though I have only ridden it a couple times a few years ago. Jet Scream - inverting space ship - Fun ride, but you need to make sure to hold the restraints back. What I do is place my hands between my cheast and the shoulder harness. If you don't do this the sholder harness will tighten as you ride, and by the end you'll barely be able to breath. Drop Zone - intamin drop tower - Nothing too special. I really don't get my stomach taken out on this ride, even though it is over 200 feet tall. Just seems to start breaking half way down. Not nearly as good as the newer intamin and S&S towers.

The park is pretty much as average as they come. It's a good park, but not a great park. They have quantity, but not quality. I have a season pass this year, which is the first time in years. Though the only reason is because I will be visiting PKI and PKD later this year, so it's cheaper to get one. There's nothing really at wonderland that thrills me. Actually the only ride that does that is the skycoaster(those always freak me out). Don't expect too much from the park and you'll still have a great time. Oh, and they lose points with me with teh way they have butchered Minebuster. They've actually removed/reprofiled entire hills to fit in water slides. So the ride has been completely castrated of what it used to be.

700 ft. tall coaster?
Carnage replied to coasterdude5's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think they had good reasons to complain. It would have generated alot of noise. Even a ride like Dragster makes a very loud sound that can be heard from far away. Now increase that noise as the ride would have been much larger. As much as I'd love to see that ride built, I can understand why the business's around them didn't want a giant noise machine being installed right next door. -
Controversial Coasters!

The Ravine Flyer II at Waldameer comes to mind. They've been fighting to get that thing built for quite sometime. Or the hypercoaster for Six Flags Mexico. That thing sat for years because they started construction too soon. -
^ You need to remember however that the culture and way of life is very different in Japan than in north america. Money isn't the most important thing like over in the USA.

What's your favorite Flat ride?
Carnage replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love Zippers. I like the sound of change bouncing all over the structure as it sucks the change out of everyone's pockets. Though I don't get to ride them very often as they are mostly in those low income fairs that I'm hesitent to go to. I've always wished that some major park would put a zipper in. -
Yeah REal would never be an option. I despise real player. Mov would also be out as I really don't like Quicktime. I've been using wmv for the past while, and will probably be my choice for now. Though I'll probably experiment with mpg and see what kind of quality/file size I can come up with.

What codecs/programgs,etc do you use to compress your video for web use? I've just about finished my first video from my new camcorder. But I'm just playing around right now trying to get a small enough version made that can go on my website. So I'd like to get the smallest file size, while still maintaining decent quality. All my past videos have just been of a digital-camera, so compression really hasn't been an issue before now.

That version is pretty nostalgic for me. That was pretty much the standard back then for personal webpages. It's amazing how far web design has come.

^ Or a Togo stand-up. I'm kind of unsure about this. Not sure if this will be good or bad. So what happens if the group of outsiders buys them and not CF or SF? Is that good or bad? Not sure which that would be having the parks bought by a bunch of unkowns. At least with Six Flags and Cedar Fair we know their strengths and weaknesses.
