  1. Hopefully that helix is taken at a decent speed.
  2. Quite a few are done that way I would assume. Though I'm only guessing. Oh and his name is Robb, not Rod.
  3. ^ Probably caught up in all sorts of red tape. I'm sure they stepped on some toes not getting the permits. Not to mention the legal/insurance issues they've probably brought on themselves. Who buys a multi-million dollar thrill ride and doesn't look into what steps need to be taken to legally open it? Who knew that a thrill ride requires permits to run.
  4. Nice choice, that's the router I'm using. Glad it's working out so far. Just make sure to turn the security settings on. Don't want your neighbours stealing your internet access.
  5. I just read this entire thread start to finish, all 27 pages worth.
  6. Do youself a favour and just pay a bit more for a decent hotel. I just checked the prices for Breakers Express on the May 20th weekend and it's only like $70/night. It's worth the price for a bit nicer stay.
  7. Some of these just come down to personaly preferance. I personally find the Intamin megacoasters like S:ROS.MF,etc to be back seat rides. As far back as possible. In fact I tend to prefer the back of the train on nearly every coaster, with the exception of inverted coasters.
  8. "This ride is worse then talking to Barry"
  9. Tip for GL: Simple: show up, enjoy ERT. GL on a busy day shouldn't take you longer then 2-3 hours to ride everything. I haven't been since SF sold the park, and even then the park was deserted most of the time.
  10. It's also quite possible to have raw POV footage with annoying background noise. Not everyone can make entertaining commentary like Robb. I tend to cut out anything from my videos that has my voice in it if I can help it. I despise my voice on tape. But it's all personal preference.
  11. TPR is just one of many sites that are blocked. Part of the reason why I haven't gone to CB in a very long time.
  12. If you have a 3-day package the parking voucher should be good for the length of your stay. And I don't beleieve the marina entrance is much of an option. If you have the resort early entry pass then where ever you enter is going to get you a few early rides. I've found there really isn't any running of the bulls anymore. Not with the early entry.
  13. ^^^ Nice iPod headphones. How trendy.
  14. ^^ Again?? Wait was Dave were you part of our group that rolled back the kiddy coaster at Quassy? I can't remember if he was on the train of death or not. And to think like 4-5 of us had cameras, and not one of us caught the rollback on tape.
  15. That was great!! What a way to waste time at work. I must get back to the Dells. Right now.
  16. Nice TR Ted. I wish I could have been there. Maybe next year.
  17. Why? lots of coasters have 500 footers, or even more. Nice one. I wouldn't really put much stock into CP having to go biggest/longest/fastest/etc. Only us die hards would actually know if it was true or not. The CP hype machine can hype anything into the biggest thing around. Even a modest coaster at CP will be front page news. I do think it's going to be something big though.
  18. Yeah, it's simple to do. Pull up to the far left parking booth. Tell them you're going to soak city/challenge park. They'll send you around no questions asked. Oh and the BE packages should include a parking voucher.
  19. Not normally on small items. But I did go through alot of stress buying a house. Now I get to log into my web banking and see just how much money I don't have.
  20. The location of the footers isn't on the way to Skyhawk. Skyhawk is closer to Snake River Falls. The WWL site is over by Mean Streak. So all the people flocking to mean streak will see them.
  21. That fact that there are footers poured already could very well hint towards how big it might be. Probably either height wise, or magnitued wise. What I mean is that if they're building something draster sized, or if they're building a dueling coaster that an early start would be required. Dragster's tower footers were poured during the Wicked Twister construction the year before afterall. But we'll find out what it is in like 9 months or so. Knowing Cedar Point there probably won't be all that much to know for awhile.
  22. ^ Skyhawk is the new S&S Screamin swing that Cedar Point is building. I'm not surprised by TTD being removed from the early entry. Dragster really needs some quality warm up time. So running it early on cold/wet days would be hard. Plus it probably doesn't impress guests to give them early entry only to find it broken down, or start late. You'd have happier guests if you give them early time on the rides that are a lock to open on time.
  23. I sometimes wonder if I came out to my family/freinds if they'd have the same reaction of suspecting. I'm completely straight, however I sometimes wonder what my family/freinds think of my seemingly non-existent dating life.
  24. ^ That would be from the monorail episode. The escalator to no where was shown at the end along with the popsicle skycraper and the 100 foot magnifying lense.
  25. Pepsi Max The Big One at Blackpool also has a 205' drop. Magic number indeed.
