The official NFL Discussion Thread

As much as I hate to say it, I believe their problems consist of one player. I always say its the team that wins it, and it usually is the case. But in this instance, the Steelers play completely different without Palomalu. With him playing, they seem to always win or atleast have a chance at winning. Without him, they look like one of the worst teams in the NFL. -

How did you end up here???
Homeboy23 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was researching a trip for myself last year in Google and was taken to this site. -
HR knew we did nothing wrong so we weren't close to getting into any trouble, it was just sad that we had to sit there and deal with all of that for something childish. ^ It wasn't me being cussed at, it was my friend, he can report her if he wants to. I actually just made it in there and just started to discuss it with them right before she walked in. I'm just planning on simply wearing some black and silver somewhere in my wardrobe tomorrow* * Before someone blasts me, I am actually not going to do that, but I would love to.

This girl at work who reported me and two other guys to HR for talking about the Steelers losing. Yes, you heard that right, she reported us for talking about sports because she is a Steelers fan. She later emailed one of the guys and said that she doesn't talk about his KIDS so he shouldn't talk about her Steelers. The worst part of it was when we were talking about it she wasn't in the room, she came walking by and heard us talking, then she proceeded to cuss one of us out.

Something tells me both the Saints and Colts will lose one game, but I am now rooting for an undefeated Super Bowl. -
Going On Any Awesome Trips Next Year?
Homeboy23 replied to Speeddeamon128's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Looks like you will have a great year! Right now if I can't get my money straight I won't be doing anything except parks close to me. But if I am able I have a plan set out to do something similar to the TPR northeast trip this year but with a couple different parks sometime at the end of June or early July. -
People at work who are not in any supervisor position who try to be the boss of everyone. And their supervisors who let them get away with it.

Congrats on the engagement! I completely understand your complaints. I was also there on opening night and I did end up having a great time, but I also saw where they needed improvements before the event can turn into a success. I thought they were opening at 4 too until I checked the website Thursday night. That must have been a last minute change sometime early last week.

^ That is what I don't like about high market teams. At Carolina you can get a great seat for $55. So a family of four would be $220. I am pretty sure the only real high prices are in places like Dallas, Washington and New York. -
As a last minute decision I decided to go check out Christmas Town on its very first operating day. I must say for they did a pretty good job running it. It was a chilly night, in the 40's and some wind but they had a few places of outdoor heating available which was a big plus. The lights, tree and all the Christmas decorations were amazing. The shows were, well Christmas shows, they were good. The restaurants were turned into holiday food for the most, but a lot of the same food from the summer was served. If last night was a sign of things to come, then this would be a great time for anybody who loves Griffon, Curse of the Darkastle or Corkscrew Hill to get as many rides as they want. I never had over a 5 minute wait for Griffon even with a two train operation for any row all night. Darkastle and Corkscrew I walked right on. I was surprised to see Griffon's splashdown in full effect in cold weather. But the rides weren't what people were coming for, they were there for the shows. If you wanted to see a show you were in for a crowd. I am not sure how much the Abbey Stone and Globe Theatre's can hold but 20 minutes before show times they had very long lines to get in. Das Festhaus was almost impossible to get in. All of the seats were taken and the line to get in reached back I would say about around 70-90 people from the door. That is not including people waiting inside. I didn't check out Santa's Workshop as I didn't care for taking a picture with Santa, but the one other attraction they had was A Penguin Paradise. An hour after opening they were already putting up more queue line because I guess they didn't expect it to be that crowded. I waited about 25 minutes which is probably too much for the attraction. I overheard people saying they waited an hour later on. 3/4 of the attraction is just penguin decorations and information on all types of penguins. At the very end though I was shocked to see they had two live penguins. My one major disappointment was the train. They only had one train going and both stations were filled with people waiting, the train was full all night. But that wasn't the disappointment, they had the same decorated trees throughout the ride, I would've wished to see more. Overall I would rate the experience at 8/10. On to the pictures. And Christmas cake. I loved the cupcakes. This was all you saw from the train. Kids love to make themselves part of the decoration. Santa's helpers have light sabers now. Festhaus all decorated up. Miniature trees. 45 foot tree. It is cold 200 feet in the air. Sorry, you can not walk through the wall. Why hello there penguin, I waited 25 minutes to see you. In line for Penguin Paradise, this should be great, right? I also hated that people would see me taking pictures and wouldn't move two feet to get out the way. Dude, there is no smoking allowed in this section of the park. Security! Tree. Where are we at again?
