  1. I've ridden Ravine Flyer in 2008, 2010, and 2011, and it was butter smooth all three years. Last year might have had some very minor jack hammering, but I honestly can't recall for sure. Either way, it's held up beautifully over time, and that's riding both on and off wheel seats. Not sure how Waldameer has done it, but they've taken excellent care of RFII to this point. 2009 was no different in that it was still butter smooth! I think 10' may have been it's "roughest" year; roughest being an extreme overstatement.
  2. Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake Park this past summer. First row of the last car. I honestly thought I was going to get hurt from the cars bouncing around so much due to the horrible condition of the track. Definitely not worth the 3 bucks and I will never be riding it again unless serious improvements are made (el oh el).
  3. bump. A video was uploaded to youtube explaining more about the festival from the two founders of the Ohio Prog festival. There are also some previews of the bands that will be there. Here is the link:
  4. Not a problem! I'm a big Nightingale/Swano fan and I personally would love to seem them play. I think this will be the 2nd time they will have ever played in the United States if it happens. I should mention that there are many different ticket packages available to offer flexibility if you cannot attend the entire festival or would rather only attend a certain day. The ticket packages can be found here:
  5. Hey everyone, My brother is attempting to put on a progressive rock music festival for next year. Some of the bands that will be attending RARELY play in the United States, so it's a pretty big deal! The bands include: Going for the One, Gende's Giant, Script for a Jester's Tour, Orphan Project, Persephone's Dream, RC2, FM, Gravity, After the Fall, Cryptic Vision, Arena, and NIGHTINGALE. The festival is scheduled to be September 7-9, 2012. For more details see the following links: www.ohioprog.com www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=310473262301271 Tickets are on sale NOW. The goal of $135,000 must be reached by January 2nd, 2012 for the festival to take place. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks, -Bryan
  6. Ravine Flyer II was running as good as ever Sunday! I was expecting it to run a little slower because of the nipplier weather coupled with the fact that it was the 2nd day of operations. We got 30 rides on it between 1230P-6P. We also got rides on Steel Dragon (2), Mega Vortex, Comet, the Train, the Sky Ride, Pirates Cove (2), and the Wacky Shack! For anyone who still hasn't been here... GO GO GO!
  7. The only time I've been to BGW was in 2008.. and Big Bad Wolf was actually the only ride of everything we rode that we didn't ride multiple times. The only thing I really liked about it was the last drop. Other than that I thought it was boring.
  8. Definitely Cornball! I love that thing! Haven't been on it all year which makes me sad, but I got enough rides on it in 09 to hold me over. I definitely am going to make a trip out there again next year!
  9. ^What's not funny about the notion of removing a roller coaster with pick up trucks and no engineering expertise?
  10. Payment submitted. I cannot wait for my FREE ERTZzz!!!!
  11. Magnum XL-200 for the 758th time this season about 10min ago! http://rcdb.com/11.htm?p=14965 As if no one knows what it already looks like.
  12. 2002 Wicked Twister (home park Geauga Lake) 2008 Ravine Flyer II Dominator (although I don't count it as a new credit moving to KD, i'll still mention it just for thread purposes) The Dark Knight (GADV) Possessed (Voodoo at the time.. see Dominator) Fahrenheit 2009 Diamondback Prowler 2010 Intimidator Intimidator 305 Skyrocket
  13. Islands of Adventure Busch Gardens Africa Wild Adventures Six Flags Over Georgia Kings Island (3) Canada's Wonderland Cedar Point (8) Dollywood Alabama Adventure Lake Winnie Holiday World Waldameer (2) Six Flags St. Louis Worlds of Fun Adventureland, Iowa Valleyfair! Nickelodeon Universe Mt. Olympus/Knuckleheads/Timberfalls Six Flags Great America Indiana Beach (2)
  14. The speeds aren't going to be that higher initially. It's going to be friggen cold outside. That's going to do enough to slow it down. After testing goes on for awhile and it warms up I figure they'll fill the splashdown pond and run it through that.
  15. Ooh! A Six Flags survey I finally get to take! When I visited SFKK this year, I did a survey from one of the employees and put my phone number down in case they wanted to call me.. Just so happens then called while I was getting on the train at Cedar Point and I couldn't hear a word they were saying. They said they'd call me back, and I still haven't received that phone call. Shame. I would definitely love the bring a friend for free tickets as that would help out a lot when planning a trip with someone without a season pass.
  16. ^^ A Gravity Group woodie would be absolutely amazing to see at CP, but if anything I see a GCI woodie coming in there due to Renegade, Prowler, and the supposed "GCI rehab" of Mean Streak that was rumored at the end of the season. ::sigh:: At least I only have a two hour drive from a Gravity Group woodie in RF II
