  1. Hey, guys! It might be a little late in the game, but better late than never, eh? I just signed up for the World's of Fun event. It's always a great feeling to be a part of such an amazing community of people supporting a cause! GO TPR!!
  2. Looking at Chad's report, it makes me really want to get out to SDC. I had planned a trip for this weekend, but it looks like snow is going to be a delay on that. Soon enough!
  3. I just turned on the tv, and saw Robb on some news footage here in Tulsa, kind of took me by surprise. Outlaw Run looked amazing. I love reading all the reviews, watching footage, and such. I was going to go to Branson this weekend, but I'll wait till the Spring Break crowds die down. I'm dying to ride this thing!
  4. ^^ That's really unfortunate. I used to be really in to wrestling when I was a lot younger. He did a really great job in the WWF. I remember liking him, hating him, then re-liking him. Sad to see him go.
  5. ^^Agreed. I like the idea of just leaving the bents the way they are. Either way, the drop looks awesome.
  6. They are fun to look at. I guess I just always wondered why Morgan coasters have such BEEFY support columns, but that's probably a question for another thread.
  7. I thought the same thing when I saw it. I think it's because the inversion is more on the accent, where as it levels off a little after the full inversion. With that being said, the whole element, and ride for that matter, is going to awesome. I can't wait!
  8. I haven't signed up just yet, but I will. I had a blast last year at World's of Fun. I convinced a few friends to join me last year, I'm hoping they will jump on board this year. I'm hoping to double what I did last year. I can't wait! Happy fundraising!
  9. It's great to see it running. I can't get enough of that drop! I am also looking forward to seeing a full POV. Now that I know SDC is going to open for the season on the 15th of March, I'll think I'll plan a trip to go to Branson the following week! I can't wait!
  10. I'll give them a listen for sure. It's been a long while since I have listened to some good punk rock music. Oi Polloi, Antischism, Aus-Rotten, and Toy Dolls; all really good 80's punk that I used to love. I even liked some punk from the 90's; Leftover Crack, and even some Anti-Flag. You just brought back a flood of memories. I may have evolved my punk rock taste, but you're right, Punk NEVER dies. Now a days, I find myself listening to much softer music. I'm listening to The Avett Brothers, Famous Flower of Manhattan.
  11. ^^ Nice set. My first set was a Pearl that I bought off a friend. It was probably the set, but I got rid of it for a Tama. This is a picture of me piloting some friends around. Not that that there is much to see here in Oklahoma, I was giving them a bird eye view of "Green Country".
  12. Great photos, as always, Chad! Kraken was looking rather nice, I noticed. I sure am sad to see this thread go, but looking forward as what's to come!!
  13. There were some pretty good ones. I really liked the "Bravery, Audi" commerical. I'm also willing to accept the fact that I'm a sap, but the Budweiser spot with the man raising the Clydesdale, and then horse running to him. Jeeze... It got me. Lol
  14. My roommate brought home some Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat last night. It was pretty good wheat beer, I really enjoyed it. Like most, I'm sure it tastes amazing on tap.
  15. I might have done an introduction at one point, but I'm sure that was long ago. I'm Alfred. Yes, like Batman's butler. I've been a member here since 05. Wow, has it really been that long? Yeah, quite a while. I was just out of high school, as you can tell with the ridiculous cap lock/non-cap lock username. It's quite the pet-peeve of mine now. Anyway, I've been to a number of TPR events, I just never got in to posting around here. Recently, I figured I would start. There's nothing like going to an event and actually knowing people before hand. I am 26 years old now. I recently (two years ago) moved from Southern California to Tulsa, Oklahoma. As random as the move sounds, I had good purpose behind it. After college, I decided that I completed a major that would no longer interest me for the rest of my life. I moved out to Oklahoma to peruse a career in aviation. As you can tell from my avatar, I'm a pilot now. It's an amazing experience every time. I am currently working on the rest of my ratings to be a commercial airline pilot over at Oklahoma State University, GO COWBOYS! Living in the part of the country does have its perks. I've been able to visit, and plan on visiting, most of the parks in this area. SFOT, SFFT, Silver Dollar City, SFStL, and perhaps some parks over in Illinois. I love to travel. I guess this has been long enough. Good to meet you all!
  16. I'm still laughing. When the dust rises after the sheep falls, priceless. Thanks for the laugh, Robb.
  17. My first coaster of the year should be one of the new Rocky Mountain coasters going in. It will probably be Outlaw Run, as I am closer to Branson than I am San Antonio. We'll see though..
  18. I'm currently on this kick where I don't drink any soda, but I sure do want one. Since moving to Oklahoma from Southern California, the only soda I can think about is Cactus Cooler. What I wouldn't do to have one.
  19. I'm glad to see it being topped out. The dive under the track, then the bents over the bunny hill look awesome. They are going to provide some great head chopper effects.
  20. Reading my post, I should have worded it differently. I agree with you 100%, It's an ingenious idea. Huge win the parks, designers, public!
  21. In my opinion, the "Iron Horse" treatment, or whatever you want to call it, takes away the aspects of the wooden coaster, minus the support structure. It's really not too much different than riding a completely steel coaster. With that being said, it is an awesome ride experience. I never got to experience the original Texas Giant, but new NTAG is AMAZING. I was really excited to see The Rattler getting this treatment. It's going to be a beast of a ride...or serpent, Whichever.
  22. I also did not expect it to be that tall. Even only half finished, it looks awesome. That's going to be a great photo-op standing at the front gates.
  23. I'm also really exited to see what ideas you all come up with. I had so much fun last year at World's of Fun. More than the fun, It was really great being a part of such a community that raised so much for such a good cause! Looking forward to more information!
  24. This is actually great news for me. I have missed the last two WCB's due to being out of state. Since I usually go back to So. Cal. around September anyway, I may have to plan around this! I can't wait!
  25. Great pics, as always, Chad. With each update, I get more exited for next season. I love the look of the surrounding area there aroundt the station. I can't wait to see a train go through that fakeout-roll thing.
