This is my costume for an AP US History project I did on Texas. It was filmed in sepia, so I didn't look QUITE as fruity. And here's me with my AP US teacher...a fellow hipster.

^Ahhhhh, how did I forget Craigy Ferg? He's by far the best late night host we'll ever see.

It's the same track as the track that they just used for Skyrocket at Kennywood! -

Ah, awesome! Russell Peters (I saw him live a few years ago and just LOVED it) Jerry Seinfeld Flight of the Conchords Ricky Gervais Eddie Izzard and last but definitely not least, Jon Stewart. He's most likely the best satirist I'll ever know of in my life time.

^Why? No one in the GP is gonna realize that the Green Lantern was made in No Limits and is therefore crappy. They're just gonna see an animated rendering and think it looks awesome (or crappy). And I mean, as for this POV, it's not like it's the official B-roll footage, so it doesn't really matter. I don't know why they'd hire someone for a better quality video when they can just ask an employee who already has a camera to sit on it and film it (kinda like cheap porn!). Eventually, come Media Day, Superman will probably have a much better POV, but I don't think this video's target audience (not us) really cares that it's kinda shaky. I mean, it's like criticizing a company for having a lack of good grammar on its Twitter page. It's just to stir up internet buzz, and when the final product is released, it'll be much cleaner. Much like how a T.V. commercial is generally more well thought out than a company's Facebook/Twitter posts.

Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
atem122 replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Just insert the "favorite steel" where your number 1 steel coaster would go. So if your favorite ride is a steel coaster, then rank "favorite steel" number one. But if your favorite steel coaster is your third favorite coaster (meaning you like 2 wooden coasters more), then you'd put "favorite steel" at number 3 etc. -

^Oh no! It's not that I thought you'd post the wrong information, it just seems a little old, so I was unsure if they changed the email since you posted that. But thank you very much for it, I'd have absolutely no idea how to vote without that! -

Does anyone know if the email to send the polls to is still the one from the Idiot Guide? -
Anyone here a fan of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros? I've known about them for a while, but I started to get more into them recently. 40 Day Dream and Home are the only ones I'm into at the moment, but I'm sure that'll change as I keep listening to them more.

^I'm gonna second him and say the tag line kinda makes it look a bit crowded. But I am a fan of the white. -
Geauga Lake Discussion Thread

^If Cardcraze posted a picture of his profile on TPR, Katie probably saw it, searched up the name, and reported it. I'd certainly do that if a complete stranger was mocking me like that. But if he didn't post a picture, then you should probably put on your tin foil hat, cause it's a conspiracy. Edit: Even if he didn't post a picture, if he admitted to changing it (which I'm assuming he did), his name is in his signature, so it's that easy. Edited to say Katie -

The Official TPR Bag of Crap Thread!
atem122 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I walked home today and found a bag of crap in my mailbox! It was awesome, too! I got tons of really cool maps from places like Hong Kong Disneyland, Freizeitpark Plohn, Holiday Park etc. Probably the coolest gift was the Coaster Expedition 7 DVD. I love it. Also, major props for the timeliness, because my last TPR pen JUST ran out of ink on Sunday, so the new one I received is the most timely gift I've ever gotten! Thank you so much, Robb and Elissa, bags of crap are the most fun possible thing to receive in the mail (well, besides a Russian wife, actually)! To say your generosity is appreciated by me is an understatement, you guys are the greatest. My haul. A TON of great stuff! -
Biggest Disappointment of 2010?

Terminator completely abandoning one of its staple effects (audio) before completing a year of operation? It's not the worst, but it was kind of lame... -
Howler [NL]

I saw a long pre-lift on a ride I recently downloaded, and I really wanted to make a long one just for the hell of it. Thanks for the nice comment! -

Hey, y'all! I just finished working on my latest No Limits woodie. It's a terrain-hugging ride that has an elevation change of about 165 feet, and is modeled after a number of CCI and Dinn woodies, as well as adding new, uncharacteristic things. The ride starts out with a decently long pre-lift section, followed by a lift that takes you up about 120 feet higher than you started. After that, you descend down a massive, twisting double-down drop and fly through a tunnel under the pre-lift section. Following this, you fly over an airtime hill, ascend to the left, and go down another major drop. You almost get a bit of a breather in the turn around, and then it's back into a double down followed by two awesome airtime hills. Then you hit the mid course brakes, and the ride goes to hell...er I mean powers on throughout the rest of the course! That said, it's the smoothest ride I've ever built, and I'm pretty proud of the build quality, because if you're familiar with my NL rides, they usually suck @$$!!! Descending down a sharp drop in the pre-lift section. The super fast second half of the first drop. Race! Going down the ride's second biggest hill. This photo is really artsy. I tried to obey the law of thirds, but didn't want to conform. And I set the shot to a wide aperture to let in all of the beautiful sunlight. I think it came out beautifully. Did you sense the sarcasm in my last description? Lateral, brah!!! Part 1 of the ride. And here's part 2. The last time I saw something drop this fast, I was looking at Miley Cyrus's underwear! AYO! The last time I saw something descend into a dank, dark hole this fast, I was driving into New Jersey! AYO! So there you have it. Enjoy! Game Exchange download link

I was talking to my nerd friends a couple nights ago, and wondered if SF would be backing out of its deal with Smarte Carte too (since they're dropping everything). I'm not saying it necessarily means anything at all, but could this be some kind of foreshadowing to an eventual drop of the lockers all together?

^Definitely not a coincidence. The Terminator rumors were around at the time of that update, so he was hinting at it. Much like the backwards Superman hints earlier in the year. Also, SFMM REALLY needs to open one of these days, cause I was planning on going with my friend. Has anyone been to SFMM on the last day of winter break? I went to Knott's a few years ago on the last day, and the place was empty (though it was cloudy), so I'm wondering if SFMM would be the same.
