Looks to be a good line-up this year. Mysteria has me intrigued - looks interesting. And say what you will, but CF really does a great job with the Haunt logos. -

Maybe it'd going to be a B&M Strata, and the 78 meters is the height of the final brake run...? -

^I saw a good number of those Facebook posts, and it just makes me sick that people would slam the park for it. You know the staff tried everything they could to keep the situation under control, but s**t spun out of control so quickly they couldn't evacuate all the animals in time. I'm sure it was a difficult and heartbreaking decision, but when the flooding happens as fast as it did, sometimes there's nothing you can do - no matter how prepared you are at the start. -

^^It's rainy and dreary here in Ohio, so people are just in a grumpy mood. In all honesty, I absolutely love Maverick. It may not have been built specifically for airtime, but it certainly delivers enough of it. At the top of the drop, along the drop, both airtime hills, the crest after the launch, and the Stengel dives all have noticeable air. Hell, I've even felt a good bit of air in the transitions of the canyon curves (after the first drop) and in the replacement-curve after the launch. I don't find it rough at all, though I can understand how some people might find the transitions uncomfortable with the current restraints. -

They also might not have wanted to break up the ride's momentum with a MCBR. Similar to MF and I-305, the ride is one giant continuous circuit without a break-run interruption. The reason it's so long is likely to slow down the train adequately, as well as to have enough block sections to run 3 trains. -

I'm not sure where the Dinos attraction is, but I know that during Haunt they have the Trail of Terror maze back in that vicinity. They might re-work it to fit with the dinos theme, if it's along the same path. Not sure exactly where it is though, since I haven't been there in a few years. -

I think the biggest question left unanswered is whether Terror Island will incorporate dinosaurs, be moved elsewhere, or be changed entirely. Seriously though, I don't understand why there is so much complaining. If it's not your thing, the SKIP IT. But with so many families visiting the park, there is plenty of reason to add this there. Kids will want to go through, which means the park will be getting extra money from the up-charge costs. And the fact that it's right by the kids' area means that more kids will see it and want to go through. Which means more money the park is making. Sure, it may not be the best new attraction, but even for the chain's flagship park, you can't expect a huge, new ride every single year. Besides, Soak City is getting a much-needed new ride - and even if it is only one ride, I'm sure it won't be the only thing to go in there within the next few years. Business-wise, this is a smart move. Just be patient - the coasters and giant rides will come, that's a guarantee. CF is a large chain, and they have to add to all their parks while maintaining a business - CP just can't be expected to get huge rides every year if the chain wants to be successful. -

That's my line of thought. Unless they do something radically different with this one, wouldn't a giga just be a taller, faster version of Behemoth? I would imagine they will make it a different ride experience, but how much can you differ from the norm on a ride that is 300+ feet tall and would go 90+ MPH? Maybe a giga WingRider? -

^I suppose its possible, but why would they add a B&M giga right after they built a B&M hyper? Unless the giga would be more about speed than airtime, the rides would just be too similar. Even then, I can't really see it happening. -

So it is. But the colors still seem a little to similar, although that might just be the lighting in those pictures. -

So the track (or at least part of it) is teal, the I-beams on site are teal, and that one lone support column in some of the pictures is also teal. I can see it now - NEW at Canada's Wonderland - THE TEAL STREAK! I wonder if it will be all teal, or just parts of it will be all teal. Perhaps the station and lift is completely teal, with another color for the supports on the rest of the ride. Or they pull a total RCT mindblast and make all the support teal, but the station and lift track a different color from the rest of the ride. -
