  1. I can confirm. Also, the park was not too crowded today. I was able to ride all of the coasters and at least 5 flat rides before 5pm. I'll be back at the park tomorrow for the Coasting for Kids event. P.S. It's still not too late to donate.
  2. ...and done. Thank's for your support. I am still $100 away from my goal if anyone else would like to help me out.
  3. $10 to the page of the next person to donate $5 or more to mine!
  4. Well I was low last week, so I'm going with 8 duckies this week.
  5. I actually like that KI started limiting the station to 2-3 trains worth of guests. It makes it a lot easier to spot the shortest line on rides where position doesn't really matter to me. Also, since people generally gravitate toward the shortest line, prime seats (usually in the back for me) tend to have the same number of people as any other seat, which didn't use to be the case, especially on the Beast. Like you said, on rides with seaters, you can always request a specific seat.
  6. ^ I was thinking the same thing. 48" for the speed slides is reasonable but seems quite steep for the tube slides, especially if the child is riding with an adult.
  7. I would have loved to have ridden Colossus in its original state. As always, this is great nostalgia, Shane.
  8. Wow, this ride looks incredible! To Evan and everyone else at GCI, congratulations, it definitely looks like you'll have a winner with this one.
  9. That's what I will be doing. I'll be hanging out in the park with some friends all day Saturday, then devoting Sunday to the event.
  10. There were a couple I was unsure of, so I'm going to split the difference and go with 5 duckies!
  11. I was listening to In The Loop, and they stated that all of the major coasters were part of the marathon. The coasting for Kids riders hung out in the stations and filled the empty seats on each train.
  12. ^ It's just too bad that drop now has a magnetic trim on it and the helix was re-profiled. That being said, I still have never ridden a coaster with a more successful and intense helix than the one on the Beast. (The Legend at HW is probably the closest any ride has come.) It's hard to imagine riding on the original trains, without seat dividers. The laterals right at the helix entrance must have put the T-Bolt to shame. One of the other things I love about the Beast is it reaches, or at least used to reach, it's top speed after the MCBR. If I had to guess, it's top speed has probably dropped a good 10 mph from what it was once capable of (after a rain storm).
  13. I stopped by the park for a few hours that Saturday, from about 9 to 1. The Beast was closed during that time; I checked several times. I assume this was for the Travel Channel shoot. By about 9:30 AM, still during ERT, Diamondback's line was already about 20 minutes long. The park was a lot busier than I had anticipated. If I had known Racer only had one queue, I probably would have hopped in line. I was under the impression only one track was operating, and the line was long. Operations on Flight Deck and Flight of Fear were abhorrent. I've never seen operations that bad at Kings Island. On the other hand, the Firehawk team was flying! I can't wait for the Coasting for Kids event in just a few weeks!
  14. I'm just $5 away from the minimum! I will give $10 to the page of anyone who bumps me over the edge.
  15. ^ The only thing that might get hurt on this ride is your knees!
  16. http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/adamdamico/KingsIsland I just couldn't pass up this opportunity! Originally, I was on the fence about participating since I will be at Kings Island the day before the event, but I live close enough that two days in a row is by no means unreasonable. Give Kids the World is such an amazing cause, and I would like to support it through any means I can. Riding the Racer for 8 hours is one of the best means I can think of. Some of you, I'm sure have tapped out your donation bank by now, but I know a lot of you have not. Please, any donation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Adam
  17. “Hold on to your boobs because this here is the wildest ride in the wilderness!” This caption in the official tour report made me laugh!
  18. I would highly recommend riding Firehawk and Flight of Fear first. Those lines get ridiculous by the end of the first hour. Firehawk's is painfully slow moving. Diamondback and Beast will have long lines as well, but they move pretty much constantly; I usually save them for night rides.
  19. Actually Kroger's discount ended up being a dollar cheaper than ClubTPR's last year. Kroger: $30 ClubTPR: $28 + $3 printing fee
  20. Big Mike, your updates are always read and greatly appreciated, even if I don't post all of the time! Oh, and just to show I really care: . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
  21. I love how Carnival is now advertising all over TPR You Tube videos!
  22. I only saw two duckies this week as well. I'm not going to try to convince myself that there are more, like I did last week.
  23. ^I totally agree with this and would love to see this implemented for wave pools.
