I agree. I have never even been to this park (that will change however in less than 3 weeks) but I know how it feels to go to a park and have a ride just sitting there (I live close to Knoebels and they have yet to open Flying Turns). I feel like if that story per Screamscape is true than why did they accept subgrade wood? Isn't this stuff (as in materials) inspected before its built once it arrives to the build site? Also, if it has insufficient supports shouldn't they have caught that in designing/building it? I guess to me these things just make sense to check in my opinion. I get sad when I see things like this. Now I know it cost a lot to tear down a coaster - especially one this big. But really come on a decision needs to be made - either "try" to fix it or get rid of it. I would hate to be the guest relations people who probably get questions about it EVERYDAY the park is open.

I am just happy to see the park doing well. I have officially decided to stand behind this park now again. I hope for only good things. I hope the next large overhaul they do is the pool/lazy river area of the water park. Apocolypse is going to be great for them even though its not new. Most of the general public do not know its not new and don't do their research or follow online forums. They are going to eat it up because its simply a stand up coaster. Lets face it most of the people that go here don't go to other parks so that is as thrilling as they are going to get.

I went to the park yesterday for the first time this season to get a season pass. I was happily blown away with the park. It looks great!!! It was very clean and the employees were being really nice. All the random high fives walking through the park were a really nice touch. All of the improvements have come a long way. I love that they painted the pool on Shipwreck Falls as well as got the water fall working again. I loved that every ride I encountered was running!! I was a little irritated that the only coaster running two trains was Wild One and it was the ONLY coaster with no line all day. My only other complaint is I WISH they would clean up the area behind Roar. Going down the first hill on Roar and looking off to all the junk they have there is such a eye sore in my opinion.

Find the bumpiest country road you can--preferably with a washboard surface. Then drive over it in, say, an old Willy's GP at about 30 miles per hour. You will have experienced Son of Beast. That being said, I understand where you're coming from. Or just take a few laps on hurler(preferably on the right side) without getting off. I actually really like the Hurler they have at Kings Dominion. I never feel pain.

As much crap as Son of Beast gets I am am still going to hate seeing it when I go in a few weeks and not be able to ride it.

I am excited for the new food options. I try to eat as healthy as possible and that is not always easy at parks. But knowing they will have healthier choices when I go in a few weeks makes me that more excited for my first time to this park.

Even though I know this is a not huge coaster these types of coasters are still fun. I have never been to Cedar Point and I hate when I will miss a credit!

Opening day Saturday was so much fun!!! It was a tad chilly but still fun all around. The retracking work on Twister and Phoenix made both a better ride in my opinion. Both are still at the top of my wooden coaster list. Black Diamond was great and I am glad the park bought this ride. I finally ate at the Alamo and I will admit that is a nice restaurant with good food that nicely priced.
