Yes, as long as they are clean. Do you like iced tea?

Yes, if you count water parks. No, if you do not. Are you going to East Coast Bash?

Seems like a nice little park. I am glad everyone made it safe. I will get over seas eventually with TPR! -
Nope, and do not plan on it. Do you live near the beach?

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
alilstronger replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Make sure Talon was the last coaster of the day this past Sunday. Gosh I love that coaster!!! -
Yes, but only certain kinds Are you a coaster credit whore?

I don't care what they do with it as long as it comes out - Batwing that is. It was a terrible idea to put it back there. Anyway... I would love to see a family type mouse or Pandemonium type coaster where Flip Side used to be. They do not have a intermediate coaster and they could definitely use one with all of the families that come here. Also I would love to see them either get rid of their river rapids ride or do a HUGE overhaul. I have never gotten wet on this ride and it is quite boring. It could use some water falls you actually go through like Dorney's or the old one that Hershey had. I got on Penquins Blizzard River a few weeks ago and all 3 times I rode it my boat did not spin at all. Did it stop doing this? That was the best part. Now that we have gotten a coaster. I would LOVE to see them just start to fill all of the holes they have now. Some of them I would like to see filled are where Sky Escaper used to be, where Krypton Comet used to be, where Iron Eagle used to be (the show there is just boring), where Scrambler used to be, where the building burned down, and take out the basketball game where Tilt A Whirl used to be for put a new flat there.

This all sounds pretty awesome! I can totally agree that the park is doing such great turn around with itself. I can not wait to see what they have in the future. There is a "rumor" that the questions the surveyors ask in the front of the park have to do with every coaster but Batwing. I find that odd. I love how I get a survey now almost every time I go to the park and they scan my season pass. I always make sure to fill it out every time and share all my thoughts/comments.

I had such a blast at Coasting for Kids this past Sunday! It was my first time at Dorney in two years and I had a great time. I will admit this is one of my favorite amusement parks. Not only is their coaster selection fun for me but they also have a good assortment of flats and a fabulous water park. They have the best top spins, scramblers (speed wise), Monsters, and swings. Talon is still one of my top inverts as well. The park was very clean and most of the staff were very friendly and kind. I did find out a tid bit of information I would like to share about Fast Lane at this particular park. Not sure if anyone mentioned this or not. I rode the Screaming Swing twice. The second time I got to talking to the operator and she said if one of the Fast Lane rides is down you are supposed to be able ride Screaming Swing once for free since you paid all that money and one of the rides is down.

OMG this was such a awesome event!!!!!!! The Dorney crew was amazing!!!!! The staff was very friendly throughout the day especially in the AM when things were getting started! I am so happy that I participated and I already can not wait till next year. My favorite part was just knowing that this was all for kids who are sick. That family there was Dorney seemed genuinely excited and that really got to me a little bit. Next year I think I will try a different park for it so I can meet even more TPR people.

The thought terrifies me lol -
Ooh, misters? Sounds like extra effects from the season pass preview days! Might head over Sunday night to see what they've finished since then, since they were still working on some things last weekend. Yea, my friend said he was there for the season pass preview weekend and he went with me yesterday and was pointing all the differences.

Skycoastin' Steve's 2012 Season Extravaganza!!
alilstronger replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
WOW the operations were that bad at Hershey? I definitely will NOT be going on a weekend day this year then. I can not believe they sent out a ride with 9 open seats!!! Most parks are notorious for that though. -
I was there yesterday too. I will admit as skeptical I am with Six Flags America they did such a AWESOME job with this coaster! The theming is awesome - I give them 11 out of 10 on it! The ride was not really open to the public all day as advertised but I did get 3 rides in (back, middle, and front). I will say this... the coaster is good for this park. They finally got something after 10 years and that makes me happy with this being my home park. Everyone was eating it up! Its all they talked about all over the park. A lot of them I talked to knew it was a used coaster but weren't sure where it was from. For me the coaster was OK. Maybe my height but this coaster gave me the worst head banging I ever experienced. I did love all of the elements during the ride with the misters and flames. If you really want to see the flames it's best to sit in the front. Also the camera gets the best pictures on the right side of the car. A LOT of people go on TPR trips alone!! I would not worry about that at all. You'll find someone to hang out with.
