This is my home park and I am gad that Six Flags is finally putting some real money into this park. This year with Apocalypse we saw great crowds and the theming on it is awesome! These new slides will be awesome for this park. The water park is THE DRAW for this park so it will be nice to see them do some more to it. After this awesome season I will be renewing my season pass next year.

^^ I am with Elissa on this! This park is a all day event for me. They have some really awesome rides and I always want to get multiple rides on them. The coasters are awesome and Twister is even BETTER at night. I would rather go on a normal operating day when it is not as crowded and all the rides are open. -
Saw The Apparition on Saturday night. Please NO ONE else WASTE your money or time seeing this mess! The premise was intriguing to me because I love movies about ghost but this one is one of the worst I have ever seen.

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

Went to the park Friday and had an absolute blast! I did not follow any "plan" to ride the rides in any special order or time but the longest we waited was about 30 minutes for Fahrenheit. I am someone who just picks a ride and moves from ride to ride around the whole park. I HATE jumping from one side of a park to another. Anyway, all of the coasters were running great! I finally rode the Tornado style water slide they have after waiting almost an hour for it. I looked at my friend and said never again. They really need to enlarge the water park. I feel like there were more people there than the entire rest of the park combined. There is NO way I would wait in line to enter a lazy river. Them people are crazy. I was gonna get a ride in on Roller Soaker but it was over an hour wait. Sky Rush had less than a 15 minute wait after 9 PM Friday night and the front row had about a 20-25 minute wait. My friend and I took advantage of that and got a front and back row ride. This ride is AMAZING at night and has become my fave steel. -
I can not wait to have a kid of my own! When I date someone that is one thing I ask - would you ever adopt.

The first time I rode Skyrush my arms were down the whole time but the second time I rode it I held my arms up the entire time. For me holding my arms up on it made it a lot more scary and that is what I liked most about it. -

^ I can agree with you Steve. Having been to Dollywood, Knoebels, and Disney I know how great operations can be. Hershey has went way down hill really fast. Don't get me wrong it is still a nice park and if I lived closer I would probably have a season pass. I just remember how the operations used to be when I was younger - just how nice and kind most of the employees were. Anyway... I am going to the park on Friday and I can not wait. My friend Matt has never been so that makes me even more excited. Glad I am not going on a weekend day since I keep hearing how long the lines get. I am on a mission to get Matt on every coaster - we'll see how this goes. It is nice to finally go to a park with someone that enjoys the water park too -

I could not agree with you more Elissa. I actually really enjoyed it the one time it last year. I was just telling my friend last week about it actually because we are going on the 24th and I told him we gotta ride it because its so different then any other coaster in the area. -

I would not be upset if Roller Soaker came out. I will admit it is a fun coaster but a coaster like this is for parks with lower numbers of people visiting. The line always is long - not really cause its popular but because the low capacity in my opinion. I would love to see them make the water park a lot bigger and get a little more gutsy with some new water slides. -

Not trying to be rude, maybe they like it. I know I actually really enjoy SLC's. Not the painful ones but I love the layout. I always get crap on TPR tours cause I look forward to them. -

Wow, the coaster looks pretty awesome. I have not had the opportunity to ride a wing rider yet so hopefully next year will be the year for my first with this one. I am definitely going to assume this will be part of TPR's Mid West tour next year including Silver Dollar City. -
I went to the park yesterday and I will admit I am happy with this park again. The employees were very nice and most, if not all, seemed like they wanted to work there. Some of the operations were questionable though. They had continuous stacking of all rafts on the Penguin ride. I will admit I was very happy the manager at the Penguin ride was doing her job and catching EVERY line jumper and making them get out of the line. All of the coasters were running. Joker went down for a short time but was brought back up relatively fast. The park was very clean and there was lots of management out and about cleaning up the park. Now what I consider the bad: -I do NOT understand having one train operations on coasters that have the LONGEST lines. Superman was running one train and by 5 PM that line was almost as full capacity. Roar had a decent line too but was only running one train. While you have Wild One and Mind Eraser with NO lines using two trains. I have ask several high ups at parks and there is no cost difference of using one train versus two trains. -The area of the old Flip Side sight needs to be either taken down or put a wall up. It looks hideous! -The area behind the drop of Roar needs to be fixed up. There is crap laying every where back there and it just looks really bad in my opinion. -Jokers Jinx NEEDS a paint job. Also so does Batwing if they are going to keep it. Both look terrible.

Cedar Point actually has a clause that no parks within 200 miles of it can build anything like they have or something to that extent. The park management told us that when TPR was at Canada's Wonderland. -
I have been on the clone at Darien Lake and I will admit I like both coasters but I prefer it at Darien lake. I think the layout fits there better and I LOVE how it goes right along the road. I also how when you walk up to it from under Predator you are looking right up the lift hill. This is just my preference though. Personally, I love SFA's ride assortment. I mean like any park they could improve but I always have a good time when I go.

We walked on the track back into the station just less than two ago on the Leviathan tour at Waldameer on Ravine Flyer II. The guest in the station were just starring at us like what is going on here.
