  1. Thank you everyone who has not bashing me for my feelings on the park. I just think it has so much potential and there is so much they could to make it a much more enjoyable experience. I will admit I had a good time but it just really hit me when I saw the condition of the park. I guess going to Disney from open to close the day before did not help with my image of a Six Flags park either Side note: Does anyone know why some Six Flags stopped enforcing the bag policy? I love that they did because I am a bad carrier and helps greatly.
  2. I will give them credit where deserved and say I am glad they do not enforce the locker policy. I am confused why the company put all these lockers in at all their parks to make money and now only enforce it at Great Adventure and Discovery Kingdom.
  3. Went to the park for the first time and I loved the park! Very clean and the employees seemed very nice. Standout coaster there was definitely Medusa!! Superman was fun but dang the capacity in the summer months is probably unbearable. Mind Eraser was terrible - almost as bad as the SLC at Canada's Wonderland.
  4. I was at Six Flags America this past Saturday and there were many schools there. There was a guy behind us in line at Roar and Apocalypse and kept naming every coaster something from Six Flags Great Adventure and seemed pretty serious about it. I wanted to correct him but I did not want to embarrass him in front of all his friends.
  5. Saw The Call yesterday. Actually it is a pretty good movie. Moves very fast and nothing about it drawn out - which I like in movies.
  6. Ok, I may get some hater's with this... I finally made it to the park for the first time.... Honestly, its the worst Six Flags park I have ever been to. Coaster wise it was pretty good - I absolutely love Tatsu (now my favorite lay down coaster). The park is very dirty - there was trash every where. Also almost all of the flower beds needed to be weeded badly. To me it seems they have a lot of free standing dwellings that are just decaying away and it looks tacky. The first coaster we rode was Ninja - waiting at the end before going back into the station to the left you can see what appears to be some sort of open arena/old station/something that is falling apart and all grown over. Then towards that back there is a station from an old ride - appeared to be some sort of train or monorail - and its in terrible condition. Riding Apocalypse you can see the area where Deja Vu used to be and its terrible with the weeds and old station still standing there. We joked that it added to the theme of Apocalypse . Every building and ride (minus Green Lantern) looks old, faded, and worn down. So much is in need of a paint job there. Yet they are building a brand new coaster. Something does not match there in my eyes. Speaking of the coasters. It seems they are getting coasters now just to keep their image up of having a lot of coasters. To me everything there besides Tatsu is forgettable. Nothing really stands out. Now that could be different if X2 was actually running when I was there. Overall to me the park just seems worn down but yet has a lot of potential. Right now the park seems like it appeals to people who could not care less what it looks like because they are there to just ride coasters. It is basically what Six Flags America looked like 3-4 years ago. I know almost every one here does not like SFA but its my home park and actually looks awesome now that they have a completely new management team there.
  7. Made the trek from Baltimore to California finally and went to the parks. I am glad I was there RIGHT before they closed the rides and got my rides in. Disneyland has such a different feeling than Disney World - much more intimate and I like that. I prefer Disneylands Pirates, Splash Mountain, and Space Mountain. The jungle cruise seemed fun but I only got to ride about half of it because our boat stalled and they could not restart it. Which worked to our advantage because the exit pass helped with the line at Indiana Jones.
  8. I'm Gonna Love You Through It - Martina McBride (her beautiful song about surviving cancer)
  9. ^ It was deserted last Saturday. You can go as far as the old batman show arena.
  10. Can not wait to come to the park tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Kings Dominion this Saturday for opening weekend!
  12. Thank you! I agree!!! I never judge park workers till its August and they are in the dead of the heat at 2 PM in the afternoon. If at that time they are giving me good customer service I commend them.
  13. Strong Enough To Break - Hanson (post famous pop phase)
  14. Wait a min... no more lockers at any coaster?
  15. Question - I notice on the SFNE website it reads that Houdini is closed for the rest of the season. Is this for last season or it is already closed this year? I will be going in July with a friend who has never been to the park and he loves the one in Jersey and wanted to compare the two.
  16. I am excited to see what the park looks like this year. I went to Great Adventure for opening day and will hopefully get to SFA once I get back from California next month.
  17. Better Off Alone - Marie Digby
  18. Superman this past Saturday at Six Flags Great Adventure. We were well beyond the 30 minute sign and still waited more than an hour.
  19. Kings Dominion this Saturday for opening weekend! Can not wait to get my friend there for his first time ever.
  20. Opening day was pretty fun. Accept for the operations but what can ya say... its a Six Flags park. The coasters that needed two trains didn't and ones that did didn't need them had them.
  21. It was Superman at Six Flags Great Adventure after a almost hour wait! It barely even had a line.
  22. Looks like the trip is off to a awesome start! Can not wait to see more and more pics/videos!
  23. Aren't they the same thing? I LOVE SFA! I live right near the park and go a lot. The park has did a complete 180 degree turn in the past two seasons. Its clean, all the rides run all the time, and the staff actually acts like they want to be there for the most part.
  24. ^ Nice pic! Question! I have never owned a Cedar Fair season pass before. I am buying a Platinum pass when I go on the 30th of this month. My question is I know with the Gold one they let you flash it and you can get someone $25.00 off a ticket every day of the normal season. I am assuming this is also valid for the platinum pass. Also you get the benefit of entering Water Works early as well as early entry? It may sound to ask but I wanted to make sure.
  25. I will be there Saturday all day from opening till close. It will probably be crowded with the Neyo concert. But once he takes the stage the lines may die down a little.
