This is interesting. I'll have to learn more about this. Yes, I do like comfortably rough wooden coasters. To me there is a difference between comfortably rough and down right painful. For instance Thunderhawk at Dorney is not bad rough to me at all but Predator at Darien Lake is too rough for me.

The water park gets really crowded so if you plan on going there I would go first thing in the AM. Also the mouse there always seems to have a line at least 30 minutes.

Thank you all!! I visited Breham, TX. It is about an hour I think south west of Houston. We were about an hour from Galveston if that helps. Yes, the thought of having new "home" parks is awesome! Too bad the guy I am seeing there does not like coasters at all. No worries though, he said he would go just to see me happy and to hold my bags lol You are right - we waited way too long to see each other.

Visited Texas this past weekend to meet an online friend that I have been talking to via email, text, and phone calls for 2 years now. It was scary at first because I've never met him. You all probably think I am crazy don't you? Come to find out we click really well and I do not think neither of us were expecting that. We are going to try to travel to each other and see where this goes. Like I have said all my life you can not expect to find love in your general area all the time. This may be thinking way tooooo far in advance but I have NOTHING holding me here in Maryland so the potential is awesome! I'm excited

Can not believe the event is so close already! I can not wait to see everyone bright and early at Dorney. Not only am i excited for the event but I am also excited for my friends first visit to Dorney

There is only one that is considered stationary and it is the one at Trimpers in Ocean City, MD. I love that it is so close to me and it it is definitely one of the best zippers I have ever rode. As for the door flying open.... I have had one open while I was riding. Luckily it was in lift mode and not in full operation.

I love the park is finally making itself look so nice! I am starting to really enjoy the park now when I go! I can't wait for the new water slides to open up this summer!

I really do not think its the theme of the ride. More just the direction the merchandise is going on. With the success of red neck reality shows I can definitely see why they are using this look.

^ I can see what you are saying. I personally did not get into coasters/amusement parks for that reason but what you are saying does make sense. I have just always simply loved coasters and for me there is no other high in the world then riding rides be it coasters, flats, water slides, any rides in general. My escape from life was going out dancing at the clubs every weekend when I turned 21.
