That would be cool if they did that. I'm going for Big Blue Coaster, or Cedar Fair may be creative and name it Boomerang. Seriously, if the spy is correct, I could live with Carolina Cobra, but still, knowing CF, they're going name it something more retarded than Carolina Cobra. I still can't get over renaming Top Gun, Afterburn. They might go for Doomerang or Snakerang. *snickers*

What coaster that you have been on has the most inversion. If you could, name what kind they are (loop, corkscrew, Immelmann). Mine is Top Gun/Afterburn (Carowinds) with 6 inversion. Including a loop, an Immelmann, a Zero-G roll, a Batwing, and a corkscrew.

Probably Top Gun, I don't know why it just sounds cool, or BORG Assimilator. That is an awesome name too. I'm also liking Goliath at SFoG

Is there anyone out there who can help me or has been/is in this situation? I've been on some "big" rides about 100 or so tall, but our band is going to Busch Gardens Europe and I was wondering if there really is anything to worry about when going on, say, Alpengiest or Apollo's Chariot? Afterburn!!!! Afterburn the coaster formally known as Top Gun. Once you go to Carowinds and ride it, you know it's the best ride at Carowinds, but you have to go to Carowinds first, that's where it doesn't get enoguh street cred as normal.

I actually had some good pictures on my camera but some idiot ran into me while I was taking a picture and made me drop it. My SD Card remained in tact and a few files got erased but oh well, what can you do? So some of my pics are from RCDB. Hope you enjoy the pictures and feel free to comment. Thanks to Olejinka and Coaster Image for providing pictures and completely saving my trip report. I had to ride the new Vekoma (UGH!) Kid Inverted Coaster (UGH! again) lots of pain. and head banging against the restraints. Don't ride this even out of curiosity!!! We left shortly afterward and had a long drive home. Rode Top Gun one more time. FUN I decided to pass on BORG/Nighthawk We got wet on this ride. Rode this Minetrain. Probably the best minetrain yet. Rode the Carolina Cyclone. An Arrow headbanger. It used to be good but it's gotten bumpy over the times. Rode a wild mouse for the heck of it. Pretty fun actually. Didn't have much leg pain on this stand-up. Would've ridden it again, but if I did my crotch would never forgive me. The Hurler was closed today but I might as well give you a picture of it. After Thunder Road we went to the water park and went on some slides and chilled out in the wave pool. Some person lost their wallet so we had to walk from the water park to guest relations slap on the other side of the park. After that we ate some Chick-fil-a (in the park) then went back to riding those coasters. After Riding some crap flat rides, we headed over to Thunder Road. Both tracks were operating and they actually let us out at the same time so we talked smack to them on the super-slow lift hill. Fun ride overall First thing we HAD to do is the best coaster in the park, Afterburn, the coaster formally known as Top Gun.

Do you know if they are moving the one in London to here, or just building a new one???

Afterburn/Top Gun at Carowinds. One of my favorites. Of course I haven't ridden that many coasters to call it THE BEST. Pretty good coaster. Pull some good g's on it.

Let it all out what was the worst park you've been to. Please, don't name a park thats way off the beaten path. Something that other people would actually know about! Other than that, let it out, tell why, let us all know why we shouldn't be in the same state as that park.

^^Yes, that is true, I completely overlooked that, thanks for pointing that out. They could close it from late fall-early spring and improve. ^ I do realize too, but coasters is the only thing HRP is really missing. From what I read, it has a good atmosphere to it and good theming. So from reading that the only thing HRP needs is BETTER COASTERS!!!!

Can someone tell me how much a Top Gun/Afterburn t-shirt would cost. I've been on a lot of cool coasters and I've always wanted a t-shirt from Top Gun/Afterburn but this time I actually have some money and wanted to know how much one would be.

Do have to have a picture of you on the coaster to prove it or something???

Well, this is great, J.K. Rowling gets more money while we are probably going to get a less than desirable park area. Although the concept art looks good, rarely does it really live up to all of the expectations.

To be honest, I was suspicious when they first was talking about Hard Rock Park. I think they need to close the park until they can get some good coasters beside Led Zeppelin- The Ride. Once they can get their head out of the clouds and realize that most of their coasters suck and are able to get a good wooden ride, and sell the Eagles ride and get a better ride, I think people will be more inclined to give it a visit and give it good reviews.

At SFOG there is a gum post going out of the station at their mine train. At Carowinds there is a gum wall in the brake run at their mine train. Gum sucks sometimes

What are talking about with Head Spin??? There was White Lightnin' at Carowinds that was basically like this.

Carolina Cyclone, first with upside-downers If you mean inverted coaster, like Alpengeist. Then it's Runaway Reptar. First inverted coaster. A Vekoma (Carowinds loves vekoma for some reason) family coaster. SCARY!!! Not, it's an Arrow headbanger, but it one of the better ones in my opinion.

So, I know this has happened to everybody. You've been at park that has some "good" coasters, but overall it's not the best park in the world. Then you ride a coaster that just lifts your spirits and you ride 3 or 4 times. Then you finish the day by riding another crappy ride. My experience is at Carowinds. It has some "good" rides but they all left something to be desired. I finally got on Top Gun (now Afterburn) for the first time in my life. I always wanted to go, but the lines were always long. I rode and I fell in love with it. Now I ride it a couple times per visit. Come on I want to hear from ya'll.

HURLER at Carowinds. It's so rough I'm the only one it my family that wants to ride it. It's but for some reason I love it.

Carowinds takes the cake. It definitely is the most with me. It isn't the best park out there, but I live close to it and when you have a season pass (like me) it pays for itself in two times. I've probably gone about 10 times just THIS summer. I have been to Six Flags Over Georgia once on a band trip, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios once on the same trip. Kings Dominion twice, and Wet 'n' Wild Emerald Point once if you count Wet 'n' Wild.

Honestly I don't think anyone can guess it. Maybe they'll be really creative and name it Deja Vu..... Seriously though, because it's location is next to the water park with the new wave pool, BOOMERANG Bay, they might name it "Boomerang".
