Elissa's Random Thought of the Day!
Mr. Starr replied to SharkTums's topic in Random, Random, Random
I've also been watching the Biggest Loser (By the way, this season was not very good, the contestants whined way too much and it was hard to pick favorites) and seen how it can affect people. Your plan would work, but we would probably need about 300,000 more Jillians in order to severely motivate people! -
I do like the show, and have been a fan since day one, but I really hope they steer away from the whole "time traveling" thing. I just never really got it, and it began to turn into more of a Si-Fi show, when Season 1 was more of "what's in the jungle?" and "who are they?". The first couple of seasons were absolutely amazing, with the Others, the Hatch, Dharma, but after the "freighter" comes and the team of scientists emerge (I forget their names because this show hasn't been on since like what, a year and a half?) I felt as though the writers chose an "easy" way out of explaining so many things. Despite all this, I'm also very excited to see how they tie up all the mysterious, weird dead ends. Sorry for the rant, but I still REALLY like the show and can't wait for it to come back!

How did you end up here???
Mr. Starr replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Started out at SFGAmworld.com, after aimlessly wandering around sixflags.com for a fascination of roller coasters. Eventually, I was googling random theme park terms, and themeparkreview.com came up. After spending about three straight days reading every single P:TR, TPR became a daily thing. -

It don't matter if they're black or white. I'm guessing that BBW still had a closer color scheme than XLR8 did at the time. And by the way, the following was posted on twitter from SFMM "SixFlagsMM #in2010 @SixFlagsMM will open the 17th Coaster in between Deja Vu & Johnny Rockets! By the way, its coming from Six Flags New Orleans!" Hmmm ... I wonder ... heh Interesting...

Erik & Misty's Smoky Mountain Adventures

Apparently, it is being built by the same people, and should be pretty much the same. I'm looking forward to covering it, as well. But I'm a bit skeptical about the concept, to be honest. I mean, isn't the subject matter a bit...depressing? "Hey kids, wanna have some fun? Then stick your hand into this 35-degree water! This is what killed 250 of Titanic's passengers within minutes!" Supposedly, everyone who enters will be assigned the name of one of the real passengers. And at the end, you find out whether or not your person lived. I am not making this up. Yeah, they had that at the Field Museum here in Chicago a couple years ago. Pretty cool actually, when you enter, you are given a card with information about a passenger (class, age, gender, etc.). You basically walk through rooms with artifacts and videos, walk out onto the deck of the "ship", where temperatures are below freezing. One cool thing that I remember was actually being able to touch a frozen iceberg that was just sitting there, very strange. But yeah, at the end there is a large wall of names stating people who died, and you can see if your person actually made it through. -

I can't seem to find the layout, does anyone know where it is? -
This is why I am thinking Chang will stay. SF STL has more land to store the ride and is closer to SFKK. Heck, if it was only a place holder for a year or so, they could have stored the ride in closed Twisted Twins/Mile High Falls area(they do have entire cars in there for storage right now under the coaster track.) Moving it to the park furthest from any other park just makes no seance at all if only to use it as a place holder. These facts are true, but do we even know if Chang track is at SFGAm? Yup. http://changsfgam2011.blogspot.com/ I had seen those pictures before, and it was still being debated whether or not they were for Chang. Has there been any more updates on arrivals at SFGAm?

Isn't it still a bit early to make such large assumptions? In my opinion, its usually worse to assume and be disappointed, than never to assume at all... I've been thinking that too, and people over at SFGAMworld.com are really assuming that Chang is coming in 2011, when there really are not that many definitive signs.

A Non-Inverting Loop on a Maurer-Sohne spinner? Simply amazing. -
Trust me, KEEP ALL OF YOUR CDS. I recently switched from a really old Dell with Windows XP to an Inspiron with Windows 7, and we had to transfer all of our iTunes (about 2500 songs) into the new computer by CD. It was a pain, because no other way would work, even transferring the music to a hard drive and trying to download it into iTunes.

Is there anyway to be able to skip through the chat without having to listen to the whole thing again? I listened to about 30 minutes of it, and then today I tried to click to a certain time frame and it would not let me. The streaming version will always stream, sorry. Just download the file and play it on your computer or iPod. --Robb OK, thanks. I personally think that its easier to listen in on an iPod than sitting on the computer anyways. -

I know they shnazz up the sign a little bit, with the sewer/demon thing. There is also the theme song that plays around the entrance and queue, but I'm not quite sure of what else.
