  1. Oh yeah, I did notice that. It was just a little though, so I didn't really pay too much mind to it.
  2. Wow. That does look awesome. I hope though that those turns and a couple of those hills aren't that drawn out. I personally like tight turns and are really intense. Maybe they will be, but I'm just saying that it might take *just a little* away from the ride.
  3. In 1938, a German immigrant named Rolph Zimmern began his life's dream by opening up his rollercoaster park on the shores of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Named "Park auf der Bucht", the amusement park was situated almost directly in the heart of the German settlement. Zimmern expected that his park would not only cater to both his comrades in the settlement, but also the other residents of Green Bay. Unfortunately, less than one year after the park opened, World War II broke out in Europe. Because of Germany's involvement in the Triple Axis, many non-German residents of Green Bay completely shunned the park. While several of Zimmern's friends tried to help him out by visiting frequently, Park auf der Bucht suffered throughout the World War. Sometimes the park would go days without having a customer. Even after World War II ended, Green Bay residents continued to completely ignore the park. In wasn't until 1946, over 4 years after World War II, that the park suddenly flourished. The short but intense rise of Park auf der Bucht began with the visit of a large group of teenagers. They got in trouble with their parents for visiting, but soon several families were visiting the park to see what it was like and gave it rave reviews. Over the next decade the park became a real powerhouse that didn't stop until Zimmern sold the park to a group of developers. This is the Alpenblitz, one of the more exciting rollercoasters in the Midwest. The ride was a deranged and airtime filled course that thrilled riders from 1938 all the way until 1950. Wow, did I type all that? Alpenblitz.nltrack Enjoy. Alpenblitz.wmv For those without No Limits. In final, a lift hill shot. Umm, can anyone see the end? Out towards the lift. Hidding in there is a ton of airtime. There was an estimated 13 moments of airtime. One of many slow days. Although you can't see much of it, there was plenty of twisted and crazy track. OMG! Here's a new one. Alpenblitz... THROUGH THE FOG! The train, waiting for someone to come and visit. The curved station which was empty more than it was crowded. Park auf der Bucht was known for it's massive amounts of fog. Seeing any track on some days was impossible.
  4. Hooray. Something new for me to do this year. And, for those people who are upset/confused over the Spongebob theme job, who cares? I'll ride it if I go (and that's a pretty good IF). It may be a little kiddie for some people, but I'll go. However, the character appearances are going to be annoying.
  5. ^ So THAT'S what that little button does. Thanks! In the future, you guys can expect smoother coasters.
  6. One of the wildest rides in the history of the midwest was a very short lived monster that operated at Mequon Park near Milwaukee. The "Wild Rider" was a mess of twisted inter twining track that shook riders souls with massive airtime and strong laterals. It opened in 1952 and unfortunately lasted only 6 years until the Great Mequon Fire destroyed the entire park. Luckily, some pictures and even an onride video have been recovered so you people that don't own No Limits can go for a terrifying ride. NOTE : This was a rough and bumpy ride and was built accordingly. Wild Rider.nltrack Enjoy Wild Rider.wmv For those who don't have No Limits Am overview of this truly scary ride. One last shot of airtime. A shaky example of one of the hibank. This is where people could finally breathe easier. Finally roaring into the brakes. Intense final turn. Look at that crazy mess of track were about to go over! Another reverse-bank coming up. Still more airtime. One of the infamous reverse-bank turns. More airtime. Here comes another crazy turn. Airtime and lots of it. Let's go that way. Hang on tight! One of many insane hibanks. Right here? Prepare yourselves for hell. Here is a train in the station. Nothing scary yet.
  7. "Our very own world-class theme park has been under construction for about 2 months now and a lot has been accomplished in that short time. We will be checking in periodically to see how the construction is going." edit: ^ whoops, can someone delete that one? An overview of Steel City The twisty ending and some more awesome theming An overview of the great looking Incinerator The cool 98* drop (just use your imagination) The entrance to the star of the park, Incinerator An example of great theming on Toxic Falls Even though construction is still under way, the themeing is looking REALLY good The only recognizable area is Steel City The entrance to Funzones Movie World
  8. "Our very own world-class theme park has been under construction for about 2 months now and a lot has been accomplished in that short time." The entrance to Funzones Movie World
  9. An update on the ride list is sponsored by the Palisades local paper. "Several rides have been announced for the newest theme park in the state of New York. Here are a couple of the companies and the rides that they will be constructing." Intamin AG -- Rollercoaster w/ 98* drop, drop tower, rapids ride Vekoma -- Indoor rollercoaster Huss -- Top spin, tumbler Sally Dark Rides -- Indoor psychological/physical dark ride Expect an update soon.
  10. Ha ha ha. Very funny. An update is in the works for this week.
  11. This is just a bit of a smaller project for me. Since school has been a monster recently, I need just a little but challenging project to get me going. On December 13the, 2007, Funzones Entertainment CEO Miguel Getter announced the completion of the blue prints for his latest blockbuster creation. Simply dubbed "Movie World", the park, the restaurants, and the rides will be themed after several different movies broken up into four park sections. "As soon as we announced the park, we were flooded by enthusiasts asking the same thing; Which movie company will own the park? To answer the question, I will simply state that the park will have an independent management, meaning that many movies made by various companies will be used." The park, situated in an open area just a few miles past Palisades, New York, is expected to open to the public in July 2009. Several companies have already planned rides. Intamin AG of Switzerland and Vekoma of the Netherlands have already begun planning out several rides that will run in the park. So grab your popcorn and don't forget to buy a ticket to the blockbuster park of the summer, Movie World. Coming 2009.
  12. Yeah, I thought it actually looked awesome for it's first run EVER. If I remember correctly, Hades didn't exactly roar through the course full speed in it's early days either. Nowadays, it undoubtedly FLIES through the course.
  13. A couple of parts weren't so good, but I thought it was pretty complicated and advanced for your second coaster. I only started building rides like this last month, and I've been playing for 2 years.
  14. So far, the plan is explain the history of the park, not to reopen it.
  15. I know that I haven't lived up to some of the parks I have tried recently, but I will try harder this time. When Jeramiah Young purchased a plot of land just outside Janesville Wisconsin, he expected his dream park to become one of the greatest parks in the world. However, when he arrived at his plot of land to start blueprinting, he found out that the realtor had left out that half of the land that he had bought was a former quarry. Nonetheless, Young's park did end up doing very well. Signature rides like the Super Dips, the Tornado, and the Zephyr brought in large sums of people every day from 1949 until the park became too hard to take care of and closed in 1967. expect an update sooner or later
  16. During the off season of 1932 at Barneveld Springs Playland (modern Loves Park, Illinois), a 'new and innovative coaster' began construction. No one thought that it could compete with anything at Riverview Park, but when the first guests of 1933 arrived, they drew startled gasps at the sight of one of the biggest coaster to ever exist, Colossimo. Standing a record height of 147.6 feet and stretching a few feet shy of 5000 feet, it was hard not to miss Colossimo. The ride was MASSIVE, even for today's standards. Unfortunetaly, it never lived up to it's overall cost and was scrapped with the park in 1940. Today only a few footers mark where the giant once stood. Colossimo.nltrack Enjoy. One final look at the long lift. Into the brakes after a long ride. As it was one of the early monsters, however, it was designed poorly. The first hills were intense, where by the end of the ride the train limped back to the station. Lots of tunnels too. Lots of airtime. Onride of one of the giant helixes. and a long way down. It was a long way up The station hid somewhere in the white structure in this area. The massive helix. Colossimo was known for it's jaw dropping appearance.
  17. The Blue Comet operated at Expo Park just south of Beloit. It was built by an associate of the man who built the Lake Delton Terror. It was know by being shoehorned into the park using some insane turns and a double lift. Besides some wicked forces, the 'Vomit Comet' operated successfully for 34 years until the park went bankrupt in 1968. Please enjoy this crazy woody that I have thought of for 4 days. Blue Comet.nltrack Have fun. The awesome first drop. Another overview. One of the hybanks. A crowd pleaser, the station fly by. The 5 g. + helix. Speedy turn. A partial overview of the ride. Train in the station.
  18. If you thought your first migraine was pure pain, then prepare to explode with horrendous pain. This caffeine-powered coaster pumps out lats over 60 g's, verts of up to -50 g's, and speeds over 160 mph. Prepare to die. Migraine Returns.nltrack Comment or fry.
  19. Very nice coaster. The design is really crazy and I like that.
  20. Good start. I really liked the layout. Your first coaster's 0 G roll is better than any I have made, and I have tried to make a lot.
  21. O M G ! That's insane! I have started some 3d models as an idea for a game, but they are far from finished.
  22. Hooray! The Dells still pwn all. And yes, that second turn on Avalanche is the 'OMG MY SPINE JUST GOT SHOVED OUT MY ASS' turn. But it's still fun. Sorry I couldn't go. Stupid 5 hour football practices.
  23. Ooh. Meteor. I would really like to ride this little baby and get a POV. It looks cool. I'm glad that Daryl showed you guys a good time. He is very cool.
  24. Hey, maybe I'll try that entertainer trick. The mini golf always has some agonizing wait times when I play.
  25. Ha ha ha. Very funny. Actually, that was pretty funny. I'm totally interested. It looks pretty cool, but sounds a little nightmarish. Maybe I'll watch it when it's light out.
