  1. I ran a 12:09 2-mile in a track meet the other day! My best time yet!
  2. Can anyone give me any input about crowds on Friday, July 2? Will the fact that it's a Friday or during July 4th weekend have any major effect? Thanks!
  3. It looked to me like it happened during testing. The first 4 cars were sticking out of the beginning of the tunnel and I only saw lightning testing as I entered the park.
  4. Today was a good day! -Comet had a 15-20 minute line all day -Sidewinder was CLOSED -SDL was a walk-on all day -Great Bear was a 3-5 train wait all day -Kissing Tower was a walk-on -Flying Falcon was a walk-on -Trailblazer was only running one train, but was a walk-on in the morning, and grew to about 20 minutes later in the day -Fahrenheit never exceeded 20 minutes -Xtreme Cup Challenge was a walk-on in the beginning of the day, and approx. 20 min. the rest of the day -Wild Mouse was 5-20 minutes over the course of the day -Wildcat was a walk-on in the beginning of the day, but grew to be about 20 minutes later -Storm Runner was a walk-on for most of the day, but was about 15 minutes in the middle -Lighting Racer was only running lightning side since thunder VALLEYED IN THE TUNNEL!!! Line was a walk-on most of the day, but never exceeded 10 minutes
  5. Morey's Piers has released an official website for project 5292010 (Ignis Fatuus). They have also released that Ignis Fatuus will not be the name of the attraction. www.newignisfatuus.com There's also a Facebook page with photo updates: http://www.facebook.com/pages/5292010/228522644313?ref=search&sid=1636058659.477743998..1
  6. I believe they're called butterfly fries at Great Adventure.
  7. I've also observed that most of the guests are from out-of-state. Spring break gives families an extended time period travel, rather than just a weekend like during HPITD.
  8. Six Flags has huge crowds too. I would say Spring Break and the weather is to blame for the crowds at both parks.
  9. Wait, is this a TR of last summer?
  10. For each of my visits, Great Bear's crew seemed to always be slow. I'm supposed to be going to STITP next Sunday, and I'm hoping that the crowds won't be as bad as they were yesterday. I took my first trip to Hersheypark on a TUESDAY last August, and crowds were much larger than anticipated. Fahrenheit's queue was 2/3 full, Roller Soaker had a 2.5 hour wait, and the Boardwalk was mobbed. I had a much better trip in October, but they really need to do something to help the lines. I would use a fast pass without a second thought, especially if they had it availible for Roller Soaker.
  11. Wow, I haven't been to Jenkinson's for a while now. When did they install the Gravitron?
  12. Fahrenheit is now scheduled to operate during Springtime in the Park.
  13. I heard on another site that the park was awaiting parts and the shipment was delayed during the Feb. Snowstorm. At least they'll open Midway, though. 6 snow days < Fahrenheit running at STITP
  14. I also saw a billboard. Near Altoona
  15. Does anyone think just getting a regular FP on a Monday in late June would be worth it?
  16. You can find the dates here: http://www.sixflags.com/greatAdventure/tickets/seasonpassvaluebook.aspx 2010 FREE Friend Tickets are valid on these dates: •Mother's Day: May 9 •Father's Day: June 20 •June 1-18 (Monday - Friday only) •September 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 or 26
  17. Great pictures! I noticed snow in the flume of Tidal Force in a few of the pictures, which is cool to see. I really hope the cold and snow goes away for Springtime in the Park. It's the only seasonal event at HP I haven't been to, and it's the earliest park to open to begin the roller coaster season!
  18. This show gives me even more of a reason to hate Seaside Heights.
  19. After checking for updates today, I caught a comment on the last post that I liked the idea of:
  20. This was under the FAQ section of the letter: What happens to the rides at Kentucky Kingdom? We are still making those decisions, since we had been hopeful that we could keep the park open. We know that some of the rides and attractions will be relocated to other parks, though the final details are still being worked out.
  21. I'm not 100% positive, but there actually may be go-karts also near that area. If not, or if they aren't keeping the go-karts, then that could actually be possible!
  22. I really didn't expect this to happen so soon, maybe at the end of the 2010 season, but certainly not now. It looks like we'll just have to wait out the parks fate now. By the way, I think it's funny to hear people saying: *Ride* should come to/would be best at *Local SF park*.
