  1. ^No. The sky is blue because of the water from the ocean reflects into the atmosphere, creating the illusion that it is blue. If water were green, the sky would be green; red, the sky would be red, etc. Am I just way too nerdy for you?
  2. ^For CS, you would put it in the Atari/Roller Coaster Tycoon 3/Style/Themed folder. As a sidenote, for CFRs, you would have to create a folder named Custom in the Style folder, and insert the CFR data into it.
  3. ^Never seen it, but I really should. Is it raining where you are at?
  4. Millennium Force has some good airtime, and Maverick too. But I'm only saying that because I haven't been on I-305 yet.
  5. I just want to quote this for anyone that didn't get a good laugh today. I hate to break it to you, but Magnum was manufactured by Arrow. On Wikipedia, "Magnum XL-200 is an Arrow Dynamics steel hypercoaster located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio." On RCDB, "Make / Model: Arrow Dynamics / All Models / Hyper Coaster." So I will be the one who will be getting a good laugh today, and try looking into things more before making fun of someone. We all know Wikipedia is the best source to get coaster information on the internet. Besides, what exactly are you trying to say? Scenario 1 seems like the most realistic. Only the lift hill, 1st drop, and 1st loop will be parking lot coaster.
  6. ^^Those are some cool photos! I'd do that..... if only I had a friend who worked at a park.....
  7. I know! For such a 'cool' element, it doesn't do much and doesn't travel a long distance. It would be good as a lift hill or something, but it just does nothing very exiting on the ride and doesn't travel very far, so it doesn't really look like it's worth it to me. And your word confirms it. Have you actually ridden th13teen? You talk about it like you've been on it but you live in the states don't you? I disagree that the ride does "nothing very exciting", it's a nice little drop and since it was travelling way faster on the outside section that when I rode it in March it actually went up in my estimations on monday. I put it in the "great family ride" category, the problem being it's a 1.2m height restriction which limits family appeal. I could go on for a while but this isn't the thread for that. I'm glad Drayton has improved, the Thomas Town looked really nice! Dave I guess I said it like I had been on the ride, sorry. What I meant was that the vertical drop looked like it didn't do very much. The rest of the ride actually looks pretty good, but the vertical drop just doesn't live up to its hype. Robb (and a few others) also said that the drop even got a little boring after a while, and all I was saying was that it 'appeared' to be boring. Sorry if I made the whole ride sound like it was boring. You're right, I do live in the States, and I really wish I was on this trip.
  8. ^I guess they could use one, too. But SF has to place them strategically in order to make maximum profit and to attract best attendence. I'm sure they've considered putting it in a few of their parks, but they've probably found some selling point in *maybe* putting it at SFGAd.
  9. I know! For such a 'cool' element, it doesn't do much and doesn't travel a long distance. It would be good as a lift hill or something, but it just does nothing very exiting on the ride and doesn't travel very far, so it doesn't really look like it's worth it to me. And your word confirms it. This looks like a fantastic trip so far! Why is it that all the TPR trips that I'm unable to go on are so cool? (And the one that I have been on, why was that so cool too? )
  10. I recently got a Sony MHS-PM1 HD Camcorder. Good for taking videos, just ok for taking pictures.
  11. I would love to see Chang there, but does the park really need 5 beemers? If it was my dream park- ABSOLUTELY, I want one of every kind of B&M they make, but I'm not sure it would be a good choice for GADV. Six flags might get a better return on the investment by putting Change somewhere else. SFDK maybe? or SFNE? I really agree. SFGAd already has plenty of great coasters. SFNE and SFDK are both great parks for expansion. Of those two, though, I think SFDK would be better because it needs it.. SFNE is pretty good without another coaster. SFDK, however, really does need one more to make it better.
  12. ^I really don't think Viper is going anywhere. It is not bad, like GASM is and Shockwave was.
  13. Because NOTHING attracts crowds like a bunch of hot ladies in front of a brand new roller coaster!
  14. I'll wait until the official announcement about any plans before saying anything.
  15. Anything with a good coaster. Or anything not like ^^.
  16. Awesome video, and great little Gertrude TR. I always thought there was something seriously wrong with Robb... I just never knew it'd be.... so..... real.
  17. Great TR so far! I wish I would've been able to ride Xtreme Skyflyer for only $5. CGA's charged $15 per person while I was at BAB.
  18. This is a pretty cool looking park. Those go-carts look amazing! In fact, I'd almost say that looks like the best thing at the park (since I'm a go-cart junkie, if you didn't know)! I'd love to to a TPR Grand-Prix on the next trip to that park that I can afford. See if a 14 year old could beat a whole bunch of grown men.
  19. These photos are amazing! I really can't believe some of them.... This photo looks like a blend between reality and computer drawing. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?!?
  20. Great TR! Some of the best of both coasts jammed into one update!
  21. My condolences to his family. A loss of anyone is always sad, but it's even sadder when it's somebody that's the owner of such an awesome theme park.
  22. ^I ask the same. And I am the same. What is it with these little European parks and their boat jumps, AKA one of the only rides with ACTUAL airtime? Pure awesomeness, those rides are!
  23. This looks pretty cool. A racing woodie themed to dragons.... woodie version of DD?
  24. Everything looks great.... except for the Dueling Dragons queue. They should not have TOUCHED it at all! DD queue aside, this place looks pretty interesting. I'm sure fans of the books and movies will be pleasantly surprised. All the merchandise looks cool, although the prices are straight up the wall. I also agree that it's cool how Universal put a lot of work into the details of things, even if some major ones were not taken into consideration, such as queue theming.
