  1. ^I guess I was unlucky. I only rode it once even though I go there all the time... When I went the line was horrific...
  2. *Busch season pass owner reporting for duty* -I don't know the exact order, but I do know that Alpengiest opens fairly early... -I have no idea -Most lines are kept short, even Griffon's. The only ride that has a very long line is BBW... -If your kids are a old enough not to get scared too easily, Corkscrew hill is good... Escape from Pompeii is a fun one, and it will really cool you off... If you have kids Le-Scoot Log Floom is always great. Isn't that the same question? -I don't really know what this is supposed to be -If you eat meat Das Festaus (or however you spell it) is great and entertaining... Italy isn't half bad either! (The one must try is the pickles. BGW has great pickles) -I am not really sure what this means. If you want good seats, hear are some of my recommended sweet spots. -Second or third row on Loch Ness -Front of BBW -Front on Alpengiest -Back edge on Griffon -Front on Appollo -Griffon -Don't just ride rollercoaster... Wander around and appreciate the theming... You will be amazed at some of the details... Also, Darkastle lines are insane... Try to get in a ride on it early... I go to Busch Gardens very, very often, so any other questions can be PMed to me...
  3. Nice TR! Lot's of nice nerd shots. You got some sharp, sharp photos in there! I loved the attention to detail, you left no stone unturned. Thanks for the update! Hope to see more... ---Alex :3
  4. 1-Shockwave-KD 2-Manhatten Express 3-Mean Streak-Cedar Point
  5. When parks have no where to put your bags and they make you put it in a 10 dollar locker that makes it really hard to get at all day...
  6. These are quotes I tend to disagree with. See has he ever left the state? What parks has he been to? Did he specifically say "tallest fastest IN THE WORLD"? Did you reply, "Kingda Ka isn't here though!"? Had he ever heard of Kingda Ka? When people are misinformed about coasters I don't consider them weird or stupid because they are not us. My GF is very into coasters but she always asks which is the tallest or fastest and even things like, "I thought you said MF was taller the TTD" or things like that. Same applies to when someone says, "Wow this is the best wood coaster ever!" to something like Blue Streak or similar and an enthusiast goes, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!?? Are you stupid everyone knows this is small and El Toro/Balder is the best wooden coaster!!!" Teehee, here's the thing. He called me an idiot...
  7. Haha we "discussed" it for a while. He thought because I am a teenager I couldn't have any idea what I was talking about. This was in line for Alpengiest, so walking away was not an option. The worst part was, I rode next to him...
  8. GP: I just rode the fastest, tallest coaster Me: Kingda Ka? GP: No Griffon. What are you, an idiot?
  9. I wasn't thinking about the ride. I was thinking about the movie. At first, I thought the movie was going to be lame, but then i thought, the POTC movies are very successful. BUT that also has a negative effect on the ride... Lets just hope that Disney can contain themselves.... BUT Big Thunder Mountain just isn't my favorite Disney ride. To be completely honest, I wouldn't mind some extra theming.
  10. I think that would be kind of lame. Although, think about the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. hmm. That's a thinker....
  11. Well, their coasters have been carrying the same design for some time... Parks want new and different coasters I guess.
  12. That's amazing! Is that a Schwarzkopf I see? And it's so interesting to see a shot of The Volcano before it was one! Nice pictures, thanks for sharing them with us!
  13. TPR, if you owned a successful theme park, what would you do with it? What roller coaster companies would you consult? What types of coasters would you include? What kinds of theming? Be specific! I have always thought it would be really cool to have a 20th century themed park, with a well-themed section for each decade. At some point in the 30s or 40s section, I would get a B&M dueling inverted coaster (like Dueling Dragons) but theme it like a dogfight. What would you do?
  14. from the back to the front maverick first. If you have two days do one side and then the other
  15. I was looking at the picture of this red track for a while trying to decide what kind of element it might contribute to on the coaster. I looks like perhaps the top of a lift hill, the bottom of a drop, or coming out of a bunny hop. This is because it is unusually straight for B&M tracks. This is just my speculation and I am fully prepared to be proven wrong. -Alex
  16. There is, but it's not as good. Only Montu is involved, and the tour is only 45 minutes, where as the Williamsburg tour is 3 hours ... Here is the link: http://www.buschgardens.com/bgt2/Explore/UpClose.aspx?id=1353#gotodetail Also, this exact question was asked and answered on page 4 of the thread...
