El Toro Back or Front?
coasterfreaksrttd replied to cooliocody12's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I loved the front. But when I rode it in the back there did seem to be more Gforces and airtime, also the lines where shorter for the back. I'm still gonna have to say the front. Nothing beats seeing your doom before it happens! -
I do believe someone else had the same question earlier in the thread, and I answered it. But I'll say it again just for you... You do NOT have to pay for the front of the line all day pass when you take the tour. It is thrown in. It does only include one ride on each coaster, but it allows you to pick your seat, which is something you can't do with the one sold on their website (you must sit second row). Also, I wouldn't fret about not getting to ride a ride enough times. Keep in mind the tour includes some morning ERT!

B&M and 240 feet...
coasterfreaksrttd replied to itsasamccormick's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I honestly think that what sets B&M apart from some other modern rollercoaster companies is that they manage to build great coasters without the size. Intamin tends to build up and up, while B&M builds out and out, improving and perfecting their elements instead of trying for new height records. I do believe they will go above 240 one day. -
Wait, I don't really understand what you are saying when you are quoting my pictures. Were you saying that the Alpengiest and Rhine River Coasters shots were the ones that needed improvement, or the par to work up to? I personally am not too fond of those shots, but for the alpengiest shot I had to snap it and leave because the tour was leaving me behind.

Yes, I am fond of both coasters :/... It's strange, one of the reasons that they are taking BBW down is that it has been around for 25 years, which is how long a coaster normally operates. The reason this strikes me as strange is that Nessie is going to be here for a while, but Nessie is older. Busch Gardens told me they were looking into a ride to replace it. They said they had a lot of options and they hadn't even come to a concrete decision about what company they were going to uses. I am hoping for an Intamin. If anyone knows anything, post it in the thread or PM me and don't forget to leave a comment about the TR

Thanks! And anyone who hasn't been to BGE need to go, it is an amazing park! It certainly makes my top ten. The theming is outstanding, the lines are short, the service is great, the food is delicious etc. Also, if you have any questions about the tour or any BGE coaster (I do know a lot about them) ask them in this thread! I will keep an eye on it to answer any question you guys might have. Thanks for the positive feedback.

Thanks for the tip. I have noticed a few typos and edited them out, and I will do the same with this. Also, the reason I was worried about the way they would come out is because the morning light made the pictures look terrible and washed out on the little digital screen, and I only really glanced through the thumbnails on my computer when I uploaded them. I was worried that some might be blurry or pale, so I apologized in advance. And yes, the top of Griffon did wake everyone up, considering it was about 8:30 am when we did it, and I had only gotten 3 hours of sleep the night before

You can find all the info you need in my original post. And B&M coasters have a high tech transfer track that slides in front of the train, then the train is pushed onto the track, and the track is put into the station. this goes visa versa when storing it... Here's something interesting I forgot to mention. Nessie only has one break run, and only one train can be on it at a time. This means the have to load each train in under 90 seconds. If a train is taking too long to load, they will stop the other running train on the second life hill until the first train is ready to go. Running three trains, which they sometimes do on busy days, is even more dangerous. This is why things might seem a bit rushed on LNM.

The price that I saw on the website was $80 a person, but that seems wrong, considering Six Flags' VIP tour is around $200 per person. EDIT: Here's the link, commerce.4adventure.com/EStore/Scripts/Skins/BGW/upclosetours.aspx, and it is only $80 a per person, but that for some reason does not include general admission and parking. While you are right about general admission, they let us park free! And we got the closest parking space in the park!
