Your first Arrow Dynamics coaster

The high thrill machine known as TrailBlazer at Hershey Park. -
I know the chances are slim but my thought process as of late has me thinking, could we see two new coasters being built in a very close proximity of time? The park has been sending out surveys mentioning launch coasters and 4-D coasters. Now what if they add the 4-D next year an revitalize that lakefront area, after that since they are sprucing up Old Country for the Holiday in the Park they add a coaster in Chiller's old spot. They had to have kept that building and queue for a reason. Just food for thought cause they did add Kingda Ka and El Toro in back to back years. It isn't impossible for them to add a 4-D and a Premier launch in back to back years.

I just think that it comes down to this; When you wait 10 years for a new rollercoaster as an enthusiast, you want the new addition to be this new custom layout, huge ride. Not an expanded version of something that was already added at a smaller park. Rightfully so, but you have to remember many things go into the decision behind closed doors that we do not know about.

It would be amazing, but I can tell you that with Lightning Rod, Wildfire, Storm Chaser, and Roar all confirmed (or nearly), the chances of a 5th RMC getting built in 2016 are extremely slim. But maybe sometime in the future!? Plus SFGAdv doesn't need an RMC. They are great coaster, but the general public doesn't view them much differently than a steel sit down with inversions. A wood version would make a great 1-2 punch with El Toro, but some boxers go through life fine with one great punch. The park has always been great about not adding redundant coasters. Here's a partial list of what they are lacking coaster wise don't I think are realistic future additions. Full circuit launch coaster that does something Dive Machine Wing Rider 4D coaster And quite frankly the park has room to add 3 coasters over time without making major changes to the current ride line-up with the Lakefront, Old Country and Rolling Thunder/Baboon Areas Well said. I think a launch coaster, from any coaster company would be the perfect fit for the park.

I agree, besides maybe a few Inverts which I enjoy very much the Dive Machines are my favorite designs by B&M. Griffin and Shiekra are both in my top 10. CP people should be super pumped for this it is going to be great. -
El Toro. I will say though after riding Wicked Cyclone this past week if Great Adventure got an RMC with a twister layout it would absolutely work. Wicked Cyclone was nothing like El Toro, a totally differen't ride experience. I can't tell whether you are saying that an RMC El toro is a good idea, but i think that will totally ruin one of the best (or even the best) wooden roller coasters on the planet. God no. Im saying a ride like what Dollywood's Lightening Rod wouldn't make sense cause we already have El Toro.

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

Im torn between thinking the ride is underrated or that it's just okay. The first half is amazing no doubt about it, the second half just fizzles out towards the end. You kind of just meander around until the brakes. I understand the circumstances with the amount of space Hershey had to work with. Just my opinion. -
Made the annual trip up to SFNE with some buds today. Overall it was a very solid day, the crowds were light and we were able to get plenty of rides in. I know sometimes people give this park a bad reputation, but both times I've been here I've been very pleased with the place. The park itself is a nice size, has a solid coaster collection and is just a pleasure to walk around in. There was some minor stacking in the stations but we lived with it. Now on to the coasters: 1. Wicked Cyclone (4x): Okay my first RMC. I now know what all the fuss is about. This coaster is just one solid fluid motion, the transitions are just unlike anything I've experienced on a coaster before. At the beginning of the day it was a bit sluggish through the course, but when we came back to ride again in the afternoon it was hauling throughiy. I got to ride in the front and back, while the front is by no means a bad ride, the back is insane. Another thing I noticed about the ride is that it is just plain fun, not over barely intense. It is very re-ridable. I noticed plenty of younger kids on the line for it. Im going to give this coaster a nine rating because it gave me a taste for RMC coasters (which was awesome) but I know there are better coasters from them out there. 9/10 2.Pandimonium (1x) : Always a fun ride, it really packs a punch as we usually ride it once. 8/10 3. Bizzaro (2x) : Still the best ride in the park in my opinion. I know a lot of people say it is a front seat coaster, but I have no idea where that was coming from. The last train was absolutely insane today, it was so forceful. The ejector air on the return hills and the hills before the brake run where bonkers. 10/10 4. Mind Eraser (1x): I usually don't hate SLC's but this thing is shaky. Ow. 5/10 6. Dark Knight (2x): I like this little floorless, it is short quick and to the point. Thats how I like most of my B&M's. 8/10 7.Blizzard River (1x): The mist machines weren't as strong as last time (boo). 7/10 8. Flashback (1x): I did it for the credit. (4/10) The Arrival. Goliath was down today which was a bummer. I love this Vekoma torture device. Wicked Cyclone looking wicked. Signage. Six Flags does theming. Finally seeing an RMC in person was pretty cool I must admit. The front of the train's were really elaborate. Hauling around the first overbank. This was the biggest 'wtf' moment of the ride for me. It was ungodly and otherworldly. I loved it. Some ejector air for the fans. Next up is one of my favorite "family" coasters. If you want to call it that. I find it to have a little too much of Satan in it to be a family ride. I mean look at it. Bizzaro is one of my favorite looking coasters. So here is a quick tribute. I hear they use these to torture Dutch prisoners in the Netherlands. Pray for them For they do not know what they have done to deserve this. Dark Knight is an awesome little ride tucked away in the back of the park. Kind of like Bizzaro at Great Adventure. I love this shot of Biazzro, Mind Eraser and Dark Knight. My favorite part is the Zero-G. Going to leave you all with a "twisty" picture of Dark Knight.

Well, when I say "scary", I DO mean in a fun way. Kind of like how in a movie that is a good, taut, thriller, you feel that tension, but it actually excites you. That's how I felt on Demon Drop. And that's not a feeling get very often on coasters or amusement rides in general, anymore... I agree 100%. I find being anxious/nervous on a ride all the more awesome. All that build up then the intital release.

I'll be down here for a few days in the middle of August. I can't wait to ride the Great White again. It really is such an awesome coaster with a great backdrop. -
^ While the giga idea you proposed would be freakin awesome, I can't see that happening even in my wildest dreams. If Great Adventure were ever to consider adding a Giga it would most likely be in the old Safari area away from everything else and it is a while off before they start expanding out there. As for the dueling coaster idea that was being thrown around in some of the surveys, I think that could work. Primeir and Six Flags could give it another try an make up for the tragedy that was the Chiller.
