  1. I went and gave you a 5. Hope yours gets picked! I'm jealous that you'll get to go on a trip and I won't, though. Good luck anyway!
  2. I'm so glad you mentioned The Last Five Years! I have not seen the show, but I have completely fallen in love with the soundtrack. The music is amazing, especially for just two people to carry the whole show. I would love to see it! I've seen Miss Saigon twice, and it will always be a fave, even though it's completely heartbreaking, it's so beautiful. Saw Oklahoma and loved it. Saw Chicago, thought it was meh; still love the music though. Love the music from Wicked, but have yet to see the show. The same for Thoroughly Modern Millie and Hairspray; love the music but haven't seen the shows. Les Miz, of course, though I've only seen a high school production of it, the music is fabulous. And of course there are the musicals that I've been in: Once Upon a Mattress, Annie, Peter Pan, Little Shop of Horrors, The Robber Bridegroom, The Wizard of Oz. And my husband was in 1776. Did someone a few pages back say they didn't like musicals because they weren't gay? I hope that was a joke. I didn't know you had to be gay to like musicals; you should tell that to my husband.
  3. This is my absolute favorite picture of me because it looks nothing like me! This is me as Tiger Lily in a production of Peter Pan (I'm the one on the right, of course). I like my theatre pictures better than regular pictures. I think it looks like a pic from a storybook or something!
  4. I guess that would be awesome for the bragging rights, 'cause I mean, how many people can say they've gotten stuck up there? But I personally don't think I would want to because I'm too scared of heights.
  5. I know Alabama is already covered, but I'm going to try to get one in the mail in time. My town is not really a tourist destination so post cards are not easy to find!
  6. She looks adorable! The princess dress is so pretty. My girls love the princesses too. They're going as Mulan and Mushu.
  7. I would love to! But I don't think he'd appreciate me leaving him alone for a week with our two toddlers.
  8. Thanks, Robb! A "meet up" sounds great, and I hope it happens. I just want to be able to meet everyone and hang out without barging in uninvited. I know just showing up is discouraged if you don't actually know any of the trip participants (and I don't!). Still going to keep my fingers crossed that hubby will cave on the actual trip, though it doesn't seem likely.
  9. Any chance y'all might add a one-day event at any of the southern parks like you did at Hershey? Because I'm thinking hubby is not going to be hot on the idea of doing the whole trip, but if y'all did a single event we could definitely make it. It will suck for y'all to be so close by and me not to be able to meet y'all!
  10. The hubby and I are going as Indy and Marion. Don't have any pictures yet, as his hat and whip are coming in the mail today. I'll post some later.
  11. Since I'm right here in AL, I totally want to do the Deep South trip. I'll have to talk to the spouse and see what he thinks.
  12. Like Robb said, you're facial expressions were hilarious! It was all I could do to keep from laughing out loud at work.
  13. I've kind of lost interest in Heroes and Pushing Daisies. Hereoes just has too many characters and story lines to keep up with. And Pushing Daisies just hasn't been that interesting this season. I'm currently loving Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, and Ghost Hunters. Those are about the only ones I watch on a regular basis. Occasionally I'll catch Dancing with the Stars.
  14. Heights; I can't climb a ladder without coming close to a panic attack, seriously, I will have tears in my eyes. Snakes; although I've never been face to face with one in an uncontrolled environment, so I'm not really sure how I'd react. I don't want to find out, either. Germs! Since I've had kids I have turned totally germophobic (what's the real word? anyone know?). I keep hand sanitizer everywhere! The first thing I do when I get in my car after shopping, pumping gas, etc. is sanitize my hands. You don't know who has been touching gas pumps and grocery buggies. Yuck! Also a mild fear of throwing up. The last time I did was when I was in labor two years ago. It wasn't pleasant laying in the bed having contractions and throwing up at the same time. Sorry for the visual. I don't really have a problem with spiders as long as they're small enough to step on. I've never faced one bigger than that. One thing I really hate though, is bugs that crunch under your foot when you step on them. It makes me shudder to think of it!
  15. I know I'm getting off topic, but if you can find the song just as a regular song file (I don't know what they're called) you can upload it to www.phonezoo.com and create your own ringtone and then have it sent to your phone, and you only get charged for the text message. I've done it a lot with CDs of mine. Back on topic, it looks y'all had a great time. The Magic Kingdom Halloween party looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to see HHN pics.
  16. Maybe Cary was replaced as a little boy and they've had someone on the inside all along. Hmmmm... Maybe RapidsNerd was replaced and is trying to throw us off by posting seemingly innocent pictures of no aliens. Hmmmm...
  17. She issued a statement saying she has no idea why they didn't show.
  18. ^Hmmm...I do know where the Rock-a-fire are hiding, and am actually friends (for real, not computer friends!) with the little boy from Close Encounters and his family (although he's not so little anymore). Oooooo, spooky.
  19. ^^^That's hilarious! Rock-a-fire = Awesome. That's crazy that you have to register to read her blog now. It wasn't like that yesterday, I checked. Hmmm...I guess there will be no official statement, huh.
  20. Hmmm...I wonder what Ms. Goodchild is going to have to say about that. The aliens I mean. Although she may have a fondness for Whatchamacallits too.
  21. I've heard the same thing about the Twilight books so I'm probably going to pass. But speaking of vampires and werewolves, you need to read the Southern Vampire Series by Charlaine Harris. The new show, True Blood, on HBO is based on this series. The books are awesome. I'm on book 7 currently, and book 9 comes out in May. They are definitely NOT teen romance; they are non-stop action and adult relationships, and not a sappy love story either. Highly recommended! Even my husband is hooked on them!
  22. Nothing over Gadsden, AL. I guess it's just too boring here.
  23. Silly boys! Get your minds out of the gutter!
  24. The pictures are awesome! The sets and costumes are incredible. I am a theater geek so I really love all that stuff. I do not, however, like haunted houses, so I would never go to this. I would only want to see Rocky Horror; love it, know every word to every song.
