  1. I will be attending Deep South Bash this year! This will be my first TPR event outside of California. Sounds like it will be a lot of fun!
  2. The Northern part of the park looks more like the catering area behind Flight Deck in this Google Maps image: maps.google.com/maps?ll=37.398083,-121.9732&z=17&t=h&hl=en FYI: I lined it up so that North is straight up in Google Earth before getting the link to Google Maps.
  3. Remember that SFDK's S:UF could have had a duel loading station, but Six Flags decided not to include that. Other, most likely bigger, parks could add that to help increase capacity. This ride actually offers a lot to other parks due to it's small footprint and I assume relativity low cost. As glad as I am to see SFDK get a unique coaster, I would love to see it be successful enough to be introduced into other parks, whether they are SF or not.
  4. I would actually rather have them post photos to Facebook/Twitter. I won't remember to check the webcam to see progress. If they post the photos I'll see the progress when there is progress to be seen.
  5. Everyone should pack a sweatshirt/windbreaker just in case the weather is cooler. I'm planning to bring my rain jacket as well, just in case of rain, but we'll know more about the forecast as we get closer to the event. I still had fun at last year's WCB, even with the rain at Knott's.
  6. Pools do have a special surface on them. It's not just straight concrete. I can see that wearing shoes could ruin the pools, but there are ways to avoid that if they're willing to spend the money to make it happen. I realize that it most likely won't happen, but it would be cool if it did.
  7. Most likely Superman will open around Memorial Day weekend, but they will announce a day when the ride gets close to being finished. Hopefully they won't run into any problems and Superman will open earlier in the season rather than later...
  8. There are a couple of options for ERT at SFDK. #1 Annual Season Pass Holder Night: Usually the park is open for an hour or two later then normal for just season pass holders. A lot of people tend to show up for this, but lines aren't usually too bad. #2 Bay Area Bash: I know there have been three Bay Area Bashes, even though last year's was on the smaller side. I don't know if there has been talk of one this year or not. The one I went to offered lots of ERT and I would assume that Superman would be included if there's a Bash this year.
  9. I bet they could if they really wanted to. They could put down AstroTurf for people to walk on so that they don't ruin or mark up the bottom of the lazy river. Even if they didn't use the pools or lazy river there is a lot of room back in there for a maze or scare zone.
  10. I would think it would be fairly easy to keep people out of areas that they shouldn't be in. It just takes some rented temporary fence. If they could make a cool scare zone in there with one or two mazes it could really add a lot to Haunt and would be worth the expense. Imagine a walk through the lazy river with people jumping out a scaring you. They could make that a really cool experience and would already have the path for people to walk through.
  11. ^The "museum" in Explorer's Outpost is mostly pictures, but it is cool to see how the park has changed over the years. It goes all the way back to the Marine World Africa USA days. I've never taken enough time to walk through and really look at all of the pictures, but what I saw was pretty cool. Anyone else planning to go to Superman's opening day? I'm planning to go and wait in line as long as I have to. I did the same for Tony Hawk. I figure that I've been on everything else so many times that I might as well wait in line for the new ride.
  12. The rumor that I heard was that Tatsu was originally planned for SFDK and it was going to where Superman is now. I believe it was going to use the area where the go-karts are and some of the area around Medusa's dive loop. If this is true, the plan was scratched because it was felt that SFMM needed the coaster more. I would like to see the coaster's layout and to see what they were actually planning to do.
  13. I would love to see a bridge built over the tram drop off area, but I think the bridge would get clogged up with people, plus you've got all kinds of accessibility issues concerning ramps versus stairs. It's just not worth the money. It would also be an eye sore as you come up to the front gate... Now that there is more to do and see in between the entrance and Roar/V2/Superman it is actually faster to get through that area. It used to take for ever because I was always stuck behind a very slow group of people... I don't see any new roller coasters coming to SFDK, unless it's a family coaster and even that is unlikely. I would like to see a new flat/thrill ride in the park, but I think they would have to remove something to add it... As far as the Ski Stadium goes, I really don't understand why they are not using it for anything except for special events. I wish they would find some use for it, but I also don't have any ideas for what they should do. I would like to see the Iwerks theater being used again. It's a great attraction on warm days because of the air conditioning and it can hold a lot of people in the queue and in the show. There's my two cents.
  14. Just ordered my tickets! Last year was a blast. Hopefully this year the weather will be better on Sunday. I'm so excited!
  15. I am definitely most excited for Supermam: Ultimate Flight coming to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in 2012! I'm so happy that it's an original layout. I'm also excited for West Coast Bash 2012! WCB this year was so much fun and I'm very excited to do it all over again.
  16. ^I also bought the Blu-Ray combo pack! I'm excited to get it and see all of those awesome coasters in HD! Thanks Robb.
  17. I was able to log in and see the forums! Looks like everything's working right. I also se the ads on the right side, hopefully those will help support TPR!
  18. Congrats dude! Enjoy the tickets! Your creation was the best one out of the three.
  19. Just curious, do you plan to have a reversed version (Seats facing forward) of the Superman cars? All SFMM has to do is turn the cars around, unfortunately RCT3 doesn't give us that option...
  20. I have always wondered why CGA's coasters don't have any kind of roof or shade structure over their stations. I almost always get sun burnt when I'm at CGA, but rarely do when I go to SFDK. It would be nice if CGA would at least build shade structures over the stations like SFDK did over Medusa's station. This would benefit the guests, employees, and the drive wheels/other ride equipment in the station. Plus most of the park lacks shaded areas. The park has some trees, but they tend to not provide shade to the pathways.
  21. You were in the same Log Tour group I was! It was such a fun weekend. I'm glad to see you had fun too! I'm in the Giants hoody and ball cap!
  22. Posted on the Knott's Berry Farm Twitter account earlier today: @knottsbrryfarm

  24. That's awesome! I love when parks add in extra stuff. Is it an event specific Knott's shirt? I'm also looking forward to this. Hopefully it will be similar to the one that The Season Pass posted the audio from, only this time I'll get to see the photos!
